Cate Blanchet is enough to put me off. She's a great actor, but I can't imagine she did this for any reason but the paycheque. Given her comment to Margot Robbie about heavy metal I'm surprised she lowered herself to videogames.
Glad to hear the film is generic as we would have guessed. Even with a subscription to see any film I want I'll give this a pass and go and see Deadpool again.
Disappointing news. All excitement I had had long gone. Assuming they get it right and deliver eventually I'm sure I'll play, but after the initial last minute delay and now this I have moved on until there is anything definite and reviewed as being stable.
Plenty of people fell into the trap of it's not for me so it's a disaster. There's a market for this, I want sure goes much but clearly enough and more for Sony.
My portal is great. Yes there are other ways to achieve the same thing, but this is better. It's just a great experience and form factor.
Some people still missing the point that it's not a portal console it's an accessory. But if Sony did go all in and make a PS steam deck if be all over that as well๐. But it's a totally different device. Different use case. And majorly different price point.
@koverby if never say mean things to someone giving helpful advice. Cheers ๐ Will be picking it up, just need to finish Teardown then I'll be be signing up for spread managed democracy.
@Warspite2901 @gkt thanks guys. Appreciate the info. At ยฃ30 it's a low risk purchase for me and I'm happy if I get the life out of it others do to chip in for the odd bit of credit/warbond to support the dev.
@Max_the_German my memory isn't good enough to recall, but there was a point when a game had to get a certain metacritic I believe to be listed. That was probably when PS+ and PS Now either didn't exist or was separate.
Of course there were still months when you'd got the games or they weren't your type of game. But the quality was higher. At least in my misty eyes they were! ๐
I mean I'm all for ending the childish console wars. But competition is good as well. Just a bit less tribal. But as I was called a butt hurt Sony pony* for crying over losing Doom, Elder Scrolls etc I can live with Hell Divers 2 being console exclusive for now ๐คฃ.
I played the Humanity demo, I liked it but found one of the puzzles bemusing and it put me off. May have to retry. Heard lots of good stuff about Cocoon that is definitely on list. Living Talos Principle 2 at the moment. About the right amount of head scratching for me.
That looks really good. I like the idea that's it's chilled out. As much fun as a hard core version would be, sometimes just playing and picking stuff it is really good.
Played it and enjoyed it. Combat was meh, I expect it'll get more in depth and I have to try out the challenge mode that's now unlocked.
Also love the comments from people who haven't played the demo slamming people who have and weren't blown away. Geez chill. Most of the negative comments are fair and someone's opinion. Which is the point of the poll. I've not seen anyone really bashing the game only being honest and saying not for me. They don't stop you (or want to stop you) being hyped.
So you've played everything? Good for you guys. But those of us that have jobs that don't revolve around playing games have plenty to keep us busy. There's a range of games, plenty to play and there's a slew drop feed of new games coming.
I'm very happy. It's a big step up and I can see me using it more and buying more games than PSVR1.
7/10 seems a bit harsh. Noted the issues raised are real and do take you out of the experience. But looks like the patch to fix had just landed. Not tried it out yet, but it seems they are working and fine tweaking it.
@get2sammyb fair enough, I just disagree with the tone of the previous doom and gloom article. It's not necessary, sure challenge Sony and PlayStation, they are far from perfect. But occasionally this great site goes from trusted resource into rabid fan baiting.
Not very often I admit, but it mars what is a professional site with a sense of community.
@thefourfoldroot1 yeah "contrary to what you've heard PSVR2 may not be dead" well I heard it on this site! This place is great, but good sometimes it's just a bit clickbaity. Long live PSVR2!
I mean are we saying all VR is dead? I don't think that's the case so PSVR2 will be fine. There's plenty of games coming out for VR cross platform, so just chill.
I was already tempted. Then I read tough as nails. Hard pass for me. My hardcore instinct is long gone with too many games too little time. Hope plenty of others pick it up as it looked great.

Dead Island 2. Yes please. Gris is good if you like that type of game. A nice mix of genres.
Re: PSVR2 Action Adventure Behemoth Scales Things Up with November Release Date
This looks epic. I need to clear out a few PSVR2 games and be ready for this
Re: Poll: Have You Pre-Ordered an Astro Bot PS5 DualSense Controller?
I was sat there 30 mins before with various websites open. Don't think I needed to be quite so prepared but got one so don't really care ๐

Yes. Getting this after missing out on the Spider-Man version

Flight Simulator.... please ๐คฉ hearing any new Doom could come to PlayStationland is good news.
Re: The Talos Principle 2 DLC Seemingly Ready for Imminent Reveal
I enjoyed both the original and this version. Not sure I feel the need to return however. But if you like puzzle games get this or the original.

Showcase/State of Play tomorrow. PS Home the big announcement.
Re: Confusion as Fallout 4 PS Plus Owners Unable to Download Free Next-Gen Update
DLC is showing as free as well, which again it wasn't earlier.
Re: Confusion as Fallout 4 PS Plus Owners Unable to Download Free Next-Gen Update
PS+ issue seems to be fixed. Downloading the PS5 version and I couldn't about an hour ago.
Re: Everybody's Golf Dev Skips PSVR2 for New VR Golf Game
I'm reasonably confident it'll be ported over eventually. But a shame. I'd love a new HS Golf game, VR or otherwise.
Re: 16 More Games Coming to PS Plus Extra, Premium in April
Dave the Diver and Deliver us Mars. That'll do nicely for me.

Re: Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond Offers New, Explosive Peacekeeping Options
So as a gamer with limited time, how long would it take me to get enough credits to not have to pay.
I'm on the fence about getting this as I like to play a lot of games. But it just sounds so much fun.
Re: Dave the Diver Will Launch on PS Plus Extra, Free for Members on 16th April
Good news. I was curious about the game, look forward to trying it out.

Re: 3 New PS Plus Essential Games Up for Download Now on PS5, PS4
When the 'stand out' game is a middling 6/10 it's not a great month.
Not every month has to be a winner, but the quality has declined since the golden years of PS+

Re: Game of the Year: Simon's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2023
Quality list. Talos Principle 2 getting some love. It's perfectly tuned and designed. It's not for everyone I know, but well deserving.
I need to find some time for walkabout golf. I've heard nothing but praise for those that tried it.

Re: Fast-Paced FPS Bulletstorm VR Kick Stomps PSVR2
@Trousersnake I don't think it is. But some do. Read some of the opinion pieces on the site.
It's doing well for me, loads of games and releases like this and other being announced on a regular basis. Not perfect, but pretty healthy for me.
Re: Fast-Paced FPS Bulletstorm VR Kick Stomps PSVR2
But PSVR is dead on arrival...

Re: After Transformative Gran Turismo 7 Update, F1 23 Will Not Support PSVR2
Totally expected them not to put this on PSVR2, although equally disappointed given they've done it for PC.
Would be a game changer and instant buy for me. Oh well ๐
Re: 23 Games Hit PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week in Big Update
I'm probably most pleased with Bus Simulator being on there. Yes really. But overall a really solid update.
Re: Social Golfer Walkabout Mini Golf Comes Highly Recommended on PSVR2
@SilverShamrock I read it, I get you don't have to buddy up, the point is being is it actually fun or is the game built around social/multiplayer.
Re: Social Golfer Walkabout Mini Golf Comes Highly Recommended on PSVR2
@R_Ryder ๐ my thoughts exactly
Re: Preview: Humanity on PS5, PS4 Is Equal Parts Puzzle Game and Existential Nightmare
@NEStalgia same here. Got so far with the demo but then just gave up. Shame as it's put me off for now. But I guess as it's on PS+ I'll give it a go.

Re: Pavlov VR, Switchback, and Kayak VR Among PSVR2's Most Popular Games
Kayak VR I'm guilty of buying. Not recommended. Not much in the way of a game and as for the experience part, it's lacking after a few minutes.
GT7 is like a new game in VR.
Re: Rumour: Sony's Allegedly Cut PSVR2 Production Plan by 20% in 2023
