@RobN
These are what are known as SLAPP lawsuits (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation). The goal of this lawsuit isn't to win (it will eventually get thrown out and they damn well know it), it's the fact Monster has vastly more money than the defendants and will drain their defendants finances strategically via legal fees by dragging this out as long as possible which is their true goal. It's BS and should be illegal, John Oliver had a great segment on this with his tv show as he was a victim of this disgusting practice himself.
@Bentleyma
XIII wasn't even a bad game by any classification, people just didn't like it was linear (even though 10 was often just as linear but that somehow gets a free pass) and maybe the story wasn't amazing but most of the series doesn't have a particularly good story either don't @ me. It's graphics have also held up surprisingly well for an almost 15 year old game.
@MrMeeeseeeks
And yet when period dramas show exactly how racist, sexist or homophobic the time period was people like you still complain either that is somehow "woke" or that "it wasn't actually THAT bad".
@TheCollector316 I would prefer not to set completely insane expectations and then get irrationally angry as if I was entitled to that completely insane nonexistent thing like 99.9 percent of the internet.
I never cared much for E3 as it has been an extremely dated concept for a long time now. I would prefer just getting surprise game announcements all year around instead.
@suprnova23 MGS 3 is a good game but aspects of it have not aged well, I would know I played it again not too long ago. Even if it aged like fine wine it still is a lot of work to redo an entire game from the ground up even if just visually.
@rawzeku
I am still unable to figure out why Konami just doesn't release a collection of the first four games. It shouldn't be very expensive to do and it would likely sell well, I would buy a copy. MGS4 alone has been stuck on the PS3 for 15 years and good luck playing MGS1 these days without either emulation or a PS3 either.
I think they could have worded this whole thing a lot better. Depicting flying in open world games (especially an open world this detailed) can be extremely taxing on hardware. If you noticed in the base game you were restricted fairly low when flying due to accommodating PS4 hardware. Whereas when you are in the skies it could be a nightmare for draw distances. So I get what they were trying to say but most did not.
I am so sick of this "PS5 Pro" chatter. They were going on about this since the PS5 was barely even out as if theres a guarantee something like that will even exist. Considering the PS4 Pro didn't even sell all that well compared to the base model to begin with?
@Mince
The PS4 is now ten years old, its time to move on. This isn't even the first notable instance of next gen only DLC. Wolfenstein The New Order which was on PS3 and 4 had an expansion The Old Blood, which was PS4/Xbox One only. And yet nobody complained back then because it wasn't essential to the base experience. Sony had no obligation to put Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarok on PS4 to begin with but they did it anyway so thats actually more pro consumer than anything else.
@Phantasystar77 The difference is that Sony has never been deceptive or straight up lied about what exclusives there are. FF7 Remake was a year long timed exclusive and that was told to us from day 1, they are not holding that game from being released on Xbox if Square so chooses. Street Fighter was also never told as anything but a PS4 console exclusive. Meanwhile Microsoft not only lies about Redfall and Starfield having been at one point in development on PS5 but try to push the whole "we aren't withholding any games, we want to get as many games out to as many people as possible" which is total BS. I have no issue with Xbox having exclusives or any platform for that matter as exclusives encourage competition and higher overall standards, it's the lies and the fake ass image I take issue with as do many here.
Considering tweeting that could potentially open you up to lawsuits and I imagine Tony Todd is more intelligent than that, I am not unconvinced this is a marketing stunt from Insomniac.
@gingerfrog I just tested it out for about an hour and there wasn't any frame drops to my eye no matter what I did including flight so you should be good.
@nookie_egg
If there's no such thing as a British accent, then there is most definitely not an American one either.
@sanderson72
Most fantasy settings are based of the medieval ages and back then the "British" accent would have been very similar to a modern "American" accent. Many Americans are descended from British colonizers and they kept their original accents while native Brits had their accents evolve over the centuries. So funnily enough American accents in the middle ages would ironically be more historically accurate.
@Starkei Nightdive is really one of my favorite developers right now. Their remasters of Quake, Powerslave, Doom 64 and Turok have all been blasts to play and have introduced these games to a whole new audience like myself who didn't use to play these types of games.
@chucksneed You all are the vegans of gaming. Can't stop coming out of nowhere to act like some smug elitist when literally nobody asked and when the topic is completely unrelated.
@ArashiKageTaro If they are looking at the viewership increasing with every single episode and saying the show is failing that is just straight up delusional.
@MayaMousavi
Was going to comment the exact same thing, the plot of Last of Us 2 probably wouldn't even crack the top 10 of disturbing/bleak content that channel has aired in the past.
@Milt Shhh don't tell these people that whenever they pause a movie they are watching at home it will show them how much time is left, they will die of a brain aneurysm.
@ItsBritneyB_tch
The only reason anybody was talking about the Oscars last year was the slap. If the producers were smart they would find another way to get people talking instead of it being yet another year of bigwigs kissing the ass of other bigwigs for 3 hours.
@Toypop I haven't even played the game yet (still waiting on my copy from Amazon) but it was very obvious from just the trailers this isn't some Pro-Soviet revisionist circle jerk that they were trying to paint it as.
@neon-xxiv I'm not making an Americans are bad argument, I am saying if you don't buy something because of the government of a countries behavior; that has nothing to do with the everyday people making that very thing, then that would have to be applied to 90 percent of countries otherwise it comes across as very hypocritical. I understand you have personal reasons for hatred but don't label all people for actions they are not a part of
@neon-xxiv
The entire plot is that this civilization collapsed because the Soviet government took a major breakthrough and royally f---ed it all up due to their narrow minded ideologies and subpar capabilities. That is about as anti-Soviet as you can possibly get. Also are you boycotting American developers who have nothing to do with the military due to military war crimes? Probably not, just saying.
@Jammsbro This is a Playstation site, it's a tv adaptation of a Playstation game. They also review movies based on Playstation games too like they did when the Uncharted movie came out. So yes they will talk about each episode when it airs. If you don't like it then it's very easy to just ignore.
@colonelkilgore The first season is by far the weakest. It's really from the second season onwards that the whole cast gets fleshed out and everything really clicks. The best way I can describe it is scifi Game of Thrones. I say that because there's alot of political and war based plotlines like Thrones and also like Thrones it has a very large cast to the point there isn't really what you could call a main character. If that isn't your kind of tea then I recommend to steer clear of it.
@RBMango Joel surviving this injury is alot more realistic then falling through an entire rebar that goes straight through his abdomen. You don't survive that, much less from being cared for by only a 14 year old with no medical experience. So I'm glad they made it somewhat more believable.
@Blacksmith1985 Not buying a game just because the developers are of a certain nationality is incredibly narrowminded. Also just because a piece of media uses certain symbols doesn't make it propoganda for that specific ideology. Wolfenstein has Swastikas all over the damn place but it most certainly is not pro-Nazi.
@NeThZOR Fully playable means "you can play the game from start to finish we just need to polish it up" it doesn't mean "we have developed a 20 percent chunk of this game so far that you can play through".
@Rob_230 I don't get the argument that Sony isn't innovative. They have always been S-tier with electronics, the reason both portable music players and CD's took off was largely their involvement. Disc based consoles became the norm precisely because they made them massively affordable. Their monitors and TV's are excellent, even their VR headsets were cheaper and more efficient than any other headset on the market and the sales reflect that.
@Victor_Meldrew That's entirely a myth that was unfounded. Youtuber Math Chief became close friends with the lead guy who worked on this game back in 2018 and has debunked all those claims. This game is no more pro Soviet than Singularity or Metro.
@PhantomMenace84 Two things; 1. They said going in that there wasn't going to be nearly as much combat as the game in order to make the show much more believable before the first episode even aired. Two things;
1. They said going in that there wasn't going to be nearly as much combat as the game in order to make the show much more believable before the first episode even aired. We can suspend our disbelief that Joel and Ellie can massacre dozens and dozens of enemies unscathed in a video game but in a tv show with a very grounded tone most people can't suspend their disbelief to that same level.
2. This season is covering the whole first game. I think they can make it work.
