Re: Almost Every Mainline Final Fantasy Game Will Soon Be Playable on Current PlayStation Consoles

@Bentleyma
XIII wasn't even a bad game by any classification, people just didn't like it was linear (even though 10 was often just as linear but that somehow gets a free pass) and maybe the story wasn't amazing but most of the series doesn't have a particularly good story either don't @ me. It's graphics have also held up surprisingly well for an almost 15 year old game.

Re: Konami's Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Reportedly Out Next Year

PegasusActual93

@rawzeku
I am still unable to figure out why Konami just doesn't release a collection of the first four games. It shouldn't be very expensive to do and it would likely sell well, I would buy a copy. MGS4 alone has been stuck on the PS3 for 15 years and good luck playing MGS1 these days without either emulation or a PS3 either.

Re: Clouds Are One Reason Why Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Is PS5 Only

PegasusActual93

I think they could have worded this whole thing a lot better. Depicting flying in open world games (especially an open world this detailed) can be extremely taxing on hardware. If you noticed in the base game you were restricted fairly low when flying due to accommodating PS4 hardware. Whereas when you are in the skies it could be a nightmare for draw distances. So I get what they were trying to say but most did not.

Re: No, the PS5 Slim Didn't Leak Earlier Today

PegasusActual93

I am so sick of this "PS5 Pro" chatter. They were going on about this since the PS5 was barely even out as if theres a guarantee something like that will even exist. Considering the PS4 Pro didn't even sell all that well compared to the base model to begin with?

Re: Clouds Are One Reason Why Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Is PS5 Only

@Mince
The PS4 is now ten years old, its time to move on. This isn't even the first notable instance of next gen only DLC. Wolfenstein The New Order which was on PS3 and 4 had an expansion The Old Blood, which was PS4/Xbox One only. And yet nobody complained back then because it wasn't essential to the base experience. Sony had no obligation to put Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarok on PS4 to begin with but they did it anyway so thats actually more pro consumer than anything else.

Re: Microsoft Thinks It Hasn't 'Pulled Any Games' from PS5, PS4

PegasusActual93

@Phantasystar77
The difference is that Sony has never been deceptive or straight up lied about what exclusives there are. FF7 Remake was a year long timed exclusive and that was told to us from day 1, they are not holding that game from being released on Xbox if Square so chooses. Street Fighter was also never told as anything but a PS4 console exclusive. Meanwhile Microsoft not only lies about Redfall and Starfield having been at one point in development on PS5 but try to push the whole "we aren't withholding any games, we want to get as many games out to as many people as possible" which is total BS. I have no issue with Xbox having exclusives or any platform for that matter as exclusives encourage competition and higher overall standards, it's the lies and the fake ass image I take issue with as do many here.

Re: Random: We Could've Wound Up with a British Kratos in God of War

@nookie_egg
If there's no such thing as a British accent, then there is most definitely not an American one either.
@sanderson72
Most fantasy settings are based of the medieval ages and back then the "British" accent would have been very similar to a modern "American" accent. Many Americans are descended from British colonizers and they kept their original accents while native Brits had their accents evolve over the centuries. So funnily enough American accents in the middle ages would ironically be more historically accurate.

@neon-xxiv
I'm not making an Americans are bad argument, I am saying if you don't buy something because of the government of a countries behavior; that has nothing to do with the everyday people making that very thing, then that would have to be applied to 90 percent of countries otherwise it comes across as very hypocritical. I understand you have personal reasons for hatred but don't label all people for actions they are not a part of

Re: Atomic Heart (PS5) - Alt History Shooter with an Identity Crisis

PegasusActual93

@neon-xxiv
The entire plot is that this civilization collapsed because the Soviet government took a major breakthrough and royally f---ed it all up due to their narrow minded ideologies and subpar capabilities. That is about as anti-Soviet as you can possibly get. Also are you boycotting American developers who have nothing to do with the military due to military war crimes? Probably not, just saying.

Re: The Expanse: A Telltale Series Centers Around a Bloody Mutiny in Space

@colonelkilgore
The first season is by far the weakest. It's really from the second season onwards that the whole cast gets fleshed out and everything really clicks. The best way I can describe it is scifi Game of Thrones. I say that because there's alot of political and war based plotlines like Thrones and also like Thrones it has a very large cast to the point there isn't really what you could call a main character. If that isn't your kind of tea then I recommend to steer clear of it.

Re: Bobby Kotick Says Sony Is 'Trying to Sabotage' Microsoft's Activision Bid

PegasusActual93

@Rob_230
I don't get the argument that Sony isn't innovative. They have always been S-tier with electronics, the reason both portable music players and CD's took off was largely their involvement. Disc based consoles became the norm precisely because they made them massively affordable. Their monitors and TV's are excellent, even their VR headsets were cheaper and more efficient than any other headset on the market and the sales reflect that.

Re: Poll: How Good Was The Last of Us - Episode 4?

PegasusActual93

@PhantomMenace84
Two things;
1. They said going in that there wasn't going to be nearly as much combat as the game in order to make the show much more believable before the first episode even aired. We can suspend our disbelief that Joel and Ellie can massacre dozens and dozens of enemies unscathed in a video game but in a tv show with a very grounded tone most people can't suspend their disbelief to that same level.
2. This season is covering the whole first game. I think they can make it work.
