@GamingFan4Lyf Well the way the Fallout games work is almost like a more old school episodic based tv show. There is an overarching plot but the quests you play are pretty self contained stories. There is a main questline you can take but the beauty of Fallout is just randomly encountering seemingly minor things while exploring that brilliantly snowball into giant storylines. And most of those self contained storylines are of the same quality and caliber as the main quest line. I love that style of gameplay but if that is not your style thats fine. It's still well worth playing though. I would recommend trying out Fallout 3 and New Vegas on PC as a starting point as both games can be run pretty well on even basic PCs today. Sure the games are perfectly playable on console but on PC for these types of games particularly it's a much more comfortable experience.
@GamingFan4Lyf This show definently looks authentic I can give it that for sure. Just curious what made you stop playing? I'm traditionally Anti-RPG games and even I love Fallout.
I get Part 2 was controversial and had it's detractors but I for one quite liked the plot and can give credit for a sequel that was different and took some major risks. We might not see a third one for a while but we do know for a fact there already exists a finished script for a third game.
@tallythwack
Because Microsoft is trying to argue that Sony has alot to offer and therefore Microsoft buying Activision is not at all another attempt of theirs at a monopoly. Even though it very much is.
@dark_knightmare2
Considering how heavy re3 was criticized I don't understand how you have such a major assumption, especially from a company that has proven in the last several years that they listen to feedback. Re4 wasn't even that long of a game to begin with. You would hard pressed to find any playthrough online that surpasses 10 hours, so why would they not expand on it to justify the price tag. We will see if your tune changes after it's released.
@dark_knightmare2 For starters I quite loved the 2 remake and every RE fan I have talked to has quite liked that remake as well. And now for my main point, did you not read the article? They emphasized quite a bit that this remake while expand upon the original. Does nobody read before commenting anymore?
@MB81 When it comes to 60 fps how much you notice depends on how much movement is actually in the game. For a fast-paced action game it will stick out like a sore thumb. Turn based RPG, not so much.
@Dr_Luigi It didn't say a game has to be 60. I play 30 fps games on Switch all the time, I couldn't care less. My issue is that a game has to have a justification for not hitting that target and they just don't have one. "We can't because co-op". When has co-op ever tanked the framerate on a console that powerful? Watch Dogs Legion didn't have 60 fps at launch on PS5 for some BS reason too and then they released a 60 patch and low and behold the game had no problems reaching that target, I guarantee you they will patch this, and you can quote me six months from now when Gotham Knights gets a patch and does 60 no problem.
@Dr_Luigi
What else could be running under the hood, it uses the same exact engine Arkham Knight did. Only difference is this uses the UE4 edition while Arkham used UE3 and maybe looks slightly better than Arkham Knight did, which is a 7 year old game now. Only significant differences I can find is the world is a little bigger and it has two player co-op. How many games can you name that lost any significant performance with the inclusion of another player in the last 15 years? I just can't figure any possible reason why they can't get 60 fps out of a console that is again 8 times more powerful than the PS4 was. Its technologically similar predecessor game held 30 on PS4 for the most part.
@Dr_Luigi Rats can be CPU intensive like I said Plague has an excuse. Gotham Knights on the other hand is not much more graphically demanding than Arkham Knight was and that ran on PS4 just fine. I just struggle to see how a console that is reportedly 8 times more powerful than the PS4 is not able to do 60 fps for that game and considering Arkham Knight had a notoriously crappy PC release, I am willing to chalk it all up to bad optimizing.
@Dr_Luigi Neither Gotham Knights or this game are any more graphically demanding than many of the games on PS5 that manage 60 fps. At least with this game having hundreds of thousands of rats on screen is an excuse but for Gotham Knights that is just straight up bad optimizing. I don't think this is the industry standard going forward I really don't.
@Colour Like a year and a half ago Kojima went on a little mini tangent on Twitter about how angry he was that a game he was working on got canned. He didn't give any more detail, but it's been long speculated it was a horror title that either the rest of his dev team didn't like or that Sony wasn't impressed with in the initial pitch.
I'm sure we are getting Death Stranding 2 but how is Kojima being visited by someone high up in Playstation an indication of a specific game? All this indicates is that Hulst and Kojima are still on good terms.
If I wasn't technically getting my power for free as my energy bill is covered under my rent I would be streaming some other way but as a whole because of the circumstances I use the PS5 for pretty much everything. Gaming, streaming, youtube, I even occasionally watch shows on blurays with it.
@tameshiyaku I can't believe you bought up that movie. I cannot believe you bought up that movie. How could you have done this? How could you bring up this movie? I can't help you out of this one Tame.
@jonbow1980 I just made a joke that Cerny has a funny look in that picture and you are being really really incoherent. Are you okay? Are you having an episode?
They turned FF7 into a battle royale? At this point I wouldn't be surprised they made a battle royale out of the Andy Griffith Show. If your character is Barney Fife you start out with only one bullet.
@ThaBEN
The collector's edition in December you mean, that is just the same exact game but released physically on a disc. And because the developers made it clear that they are not making a native PS5 or Series X release of the game. Why would you have a game marked on a PS5 game case when it is specifically a PS4 game. That would just confuse consumers.
@hoffa007 I played an Oculus on PC for years and at no point has a wired cable bothered me. I just tossed the cord behind me and never gave it any thought.
@Omnistalgic
Exactly. These acquisitions do nothing but create a monopoly on games. Sure Microsoft pays developers well to put their products on Gamepass which ensures a lot of developers are guaranteed financial security, but it simply isn't fair to brute force your way into owning everything just because you are one of if not the richest corporation on the planet and can afford to just buy everything. It especially is baffling to me because Microsoft is an American company and America has anti-trust laws that are supposed to specifically stop s--t like this from happening. And yet they aren't being enforced. This wouldn't even be the first time Microsoft was accused of anti-trust practices. In 2001 Microsoft went against the U.S Supreme Court for using very unethical and illegal practices to make their apps (namely Explorer and their Office programs), mandatory on all computers including non-Microsoft computers such as Apple MACs.
@Saucymonk
I never understood such blatant hate for Dishonored 2. It didn't have as good of a plot as the first I will give you that but Dishonored 2 had the more refined gameplay and superior more open-ended levels. The Clockwork Mansion alone is one of the most brilliantly designed levels I have ever seen in a video game and seemingly every time I replay it I find brand new routes I wasn't aware of which is top tier design through and through. Not to mention the level where you constantly have to switch between different time periods or the level in the district obscured by dust storms which requires you to change up your playstyle. There's creativity that not even the first game possessed.

@ultraviolet Yes it slows your movement but considering it can clear out an entire hallway full of enemies pretty quickly it means I will always take it over the dual wielded rifles that are extremely inaccurate and which in my opinion has to reload way too often. The Doom 3 plasma gun was good but also kind of a little overpowered with the fact it could take out most enemies quickly and that I can't recall ever even running out of ammo for that thing.
