@mrbone Dude no joke. Last of Us, Fallout, Cyberpunk, Arcane, even Twisted Metal is decent if you gel with it's sense of humor. We have been eating good lately.
@Max_the_German
It's more of an issue with the PS Store and how it verifies licenses then anything to do with Square or Bethesda. Because the PS Plus versions of games requires regular verification of the licenses due to only having access with your subscription it constantly makes upgrades freak out. Many games have had this issue and it's on Sony to fix it.
@ChrisDeku It's a bit more complicated than that. Nuclear fallout can remain immediately lethal for anywhere from 1 to 5 years depending on several factors and you would have many other problems in the aftermath long term such as a lack of widespread access to clean drinking water or the heightened levels of radiation exposure even long term seriously messing up birthrates. But this is a franchise that also features guns that shoot visible slow lasers, teleportation and androids that pass the Turing test using primitive 50s style tech so don't expect scientific accuracy.
Typically games are given ratings classifications when they are near the finish line of release. If it's speculated to be a late 2024 release, then why are we getting this rating at least 6 months in advance?
@Savage_Joe The PSP Go was released in 2009. Needless to say the landscape is VERY different 15 years later. If Steam Deck can be successful a digital Playstation handheld nowadays would probably sell for better or worse.
@AFCC I honestly wish COD had continued with this space/scifi approach. Infinite Warfare was unironically one of my favorite campaigns and there is plenty of directions you could go with the premise in future installments.
If I have to go from one end of the map to the other just to grab one collectible or complete one mission my ass is fast traveling no matter how good the game is. Ain't nobody got time for that.
@gymratAmarillo The reason new IPs fail is because they aren't bought, by the exact same demographic who constantly whines "tHeReS nOtHiNG oRiGInAL aNyMoRe"
@viktorcode The city is interesting to explore, the combat is great, the story is good, your choices matter, all the side missions are mostly good and have as much depth as the main missions; I mean what else could you possibly want dude.
How is the Quake 2 remaster not on here? There was so much love and care put into every nook and cranny and it offered an insane amount of content for just 10 bucks.
@NotSoCryptic
Oh no people are held accountable for doing bad things? Oh the humanity! Buddy at best he was completely ignorant of a major fraud case happening directly under his nose. If a company doesn't want to associate with a guy who at best is an idiot, at worst literally committing fraud against people who believed they were donating to a good cause; then yes they can exercise their freedom to cut all ties.
@Yuyukirby
People take sides on everything buddy otherwise nothing ever gets accomplished. The evidence is pretty damning. At worst he actively committed fraud, at best he's incredibly ignorant of everything that was happening for a full decade. Regardless of which is which that is not a good look and this company has every right not to associate with that.
@RawnDawn
Maybe because corrupt politicians in this day and age get away with basically everything. If anything digging up their dirty laundry just makes them more appealing to certain demographics.
If I have a nickel for every time a person or organization tried to go after Rockstar for defamation and failed, I would have like 3 nickels by now. Which isn't a lot but it's still funny as hell.
@Ded_Nexus
Why are you putting game in air quotes? Like it or not it's still a video game. And whether you like the game or not it's still doing interesting things with modern tech.
@nessisonett Uncharted is impractical to do on a TV budget, hell the movie couldn't even quite match the scale of the set pieces in the games, so no Uncharted can't "get the same love" whatever that even means.
@MasterEMFG
Adjusted for inflation video games are literally the cheapest they have ever been, and you get a hell of a lot more content on average for that purchase too than you would have even just 20 years ago. But you never hear that part nope
@Grimwood
Spy action games really are a subgenre that has just completely died out. I guess that makes sense as many of them were lacking in content to extend upon a rental or a cheap used copy but that mid PS2- mid 360/PS3 era is a interesting time I truly miss.
@OmegaStriver Most of those people who left were with the company for decades and decided to either move on or retire but lets just try to make every single thing a conspiracy why don't we?
@extragood 3D Realms has had something of a major resurgence lately and have released some great games since their revival like Ghostrunner and Ion Fury.
