@Arisen I disagree. More positive view would be to wish Witcher3 Wild Hunt to smash it after releasing remaster. As much Witcher has larger and great story, it is old game and more casual gamers will choose newer games with better graphics and gameplay.
@BeerIsAwesome there is no comparable level of content between NBA2K vs FIFA or Madden from EA. Obviously you havent played NBA2K. FIFA is empty compared to level of details and extra stuff in Franchise mode, Myplayer vs equivalent in FIFA.
@Beerheadgamer82 yes, but DLC is something else. It is not Expansion. And those DLC's were given out already. Tho all of those were pretty small. They use two terms DLC and Expansions. One is free and one is not.
@sanderson72 Sony produced more Disc versions than non disc versions. There has not been open market about that to see what would be in real life scenario.
@Korgon when that same young nephew will open that NEW FIFA game and it will not have any real club names or league names, we will see how long he will stick with FIFA named games.
@Boldfoxrd they will not. FIFA probably will get now even less money in overall to sell rights for different game developers and have them to create something, which in near future will not be even close to EA.
@Milktastrophe really? FIFA name doesnt give exclusive rights to clubs and stadiums. EA holds almost all licenses for stuff what matters. Even Konami PES/Efootball is barebones with licenses.
@Pat_trick UK PS store is most expensive of them all. £=€ too, even when £ is around 18-20% more valuable. With $ is tricky, because they get added sales tax to that price at checkout, which adds around extra 10%
@Scouse_Pirlo Yes. For years they are doing that. Adding NHL title aswell May-June. That is expected. It is unexpected to see FIFA on PS+, but once they gave NBA 2K. So why not.
There are rumours that Microsoft spent extra some money to get chip priority. And as practically you can build 2-3 S vs 1 X is giving opportunity to stock those series S in shops. And when you go to shop and all you can see is Xbox, then you buy atleast something, that is Xbox.
@Apfelschteiner probably it will. Releasing new game every year aswell is their contractual duty to FIFA licence agreement. Ofcourse they are benefiting from that. Lets see if Efootball will be able to be competetive. At this moment it doesnt seem to be very big threat. They still need time and snatch even more licences for teams and kits and stadiums
@tomassi last year they gave NBA 2K on plus. Not really first for sports games. Efootball will not be competitor for longer time. It can be great, but missing 70% or even more biggest name licensed teams is not interesting.
@GADG3Tx87 but world is changing. I got there is mostly negative opinion about that. But this monetasition is great for indie companies, but ofcourse big names will use it full on. And lets be real, world is getting only more expensive. This years inflation is 10%, next year will be same. From MTX platforms takes big chunks too. Sony NMicrosoft stores 30%, if there is VAT, another 20%. Games gets only bigger and more expensive to create. More expensive to maintain big companies. World wil always change. And people mostly dislike changes
@Bleachedsmiles there will not be any real life brands in GTA series ever. No brand is ready to be blown up in games. Same as in GT7 no car gets scratched at any point of game.
@nessisonett why gross? Why not allow devs to monetise games. F2P games are filled with Microtransactions, why not change that to ad watching as alternative to players. Or mainly ads in background. Play EA F2P football game and all boards around field has ads on them. Do some racing and again big bilboards on side of road is filled with real life brands. It is not so bad idea to create F2P games if all those ads are mostly in background.

Why FIFA? EA will try to get more people to spend on packs?
Those 2 other games are awsome addition to try out.
Re: Sony Experimenting with Ads in Free-to-Play PS5, PS4 Games
@Richnj then you can blame whales. Companies sees numbers, they dont care who individual is buying or not. As higher it goes as less personal it goes.

@GADG3Tx87 and why MTX spiraled out of control? Because people are buying them. People are voting with wallets anyway.
