Re: PS5 Microphone Records Your Voice When You Get a Trophy

S1ayeR74

@Arugula I agree I wouldn’t want this, sorry but automatically recording you should be an opt in... not opt out! No matter why it’s doing it. I think Sony may find themselves in hot water down the road with this ability to record party chats whenever you want.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Sweeps The Golden Joysticks with Five Awards

S1ayeR74

@Esuazo10 Totally 100% agree, loved everything about the game bar the story which was crap, and purposely made to be divisive, and it lacked the link between the two characters you had in the first game, and replaced it with hate instead. The ending was just a lazily written joke that was a cheap way to get shocks and destroyed the story even more. TLOU never needed a sequel and everyone knew it, the story was written for one to exist and surveys nothing to promote it beyond that. IMO. If I paid £69 for it I’d be a tad upset for sure.

Re: Time Names PS5 One of 2020's Best Inventions

S1ayeR74

Sorry don’t agree with this, partly as it most definitely was NOT invented in 2020!!!.... and it isn’t worthy of being on the list even if it was. Neither is the Xbox. Game Pass is though as that is something new and a bit revolutionary to gaming IMO.

Re: A PS5 Firmware Update Will Add VRR Support in the Future

S1ayeR74

@Toypop Yeap, the Series X Valhalla being the perfect example, if you use VRR the screen tearing in the game almost disappears.. apparently Ubisoft will patch it for everyone else, but the worry is devs won’t spend the time and resources of their games and instead rely on VRR to fix their issues. So a tiny percentage of people will get smooth gameplay thanks to lazy devs looking to maximise profit. We will see how it turns out... so far the PS5 is doing alright without VRR, I hope it’s introduction doesn’t change that.

Re: Sony Believes PS5 Game Pricing Is Fair, Denies It Considered Charging More

S1ayeR74

@RayNick Yes they have a lot of new faces now, I like Jack Trenton or is it Treton? He was cool and down to earth. And Kaz Riidge Racer. Lol. To me Phil Spencer is much more likeable then Ryan is.

As for the game prices they are too high, for instance people buy COD at launch but play it all year long and get its value, they buy a Sony single player exclusive for more and play it once and that’s it. As for any reference to a cinema, cinemas do not make any money on ticket sales, up to 90% of the sales go directly to the film distributors and studios. Cinemas literally only exist cause of their food sales hence the high prices. But now many have closed for good. It’s not really the same as Sony take a nice cut from every games sale..

Re: dbrand Refunds PS5 Skin Pre-Orders Because 'You Assholes' Won't Be Able to Apply Them

S1ayeR74

@HotGoomba___Rebrand I’m not getting mad you clown lol... I think it’s a stupid marketing campaign, but hey if it works for them then why not? You seem to be over sensitive to people not liking the brand? Do you work for them? I understand perfectly well, according to you, Dbrands marketing is based around then insulting their customers and showing them contempt, as you think, a joke. It’s not rocket science so less if the assumptions from you eh.

Re: PS5's Design Was Originally 'Much Larger' Than the Final Product

S1ayeR74

@NeuralDeclan Simple really, different design focuses. For Microsoft the focus was on the machine itself, so they spent time splitting the mother board and building a fast powerful system and heavily thought about the cooling. They didn’t spend money on a new controller or operating system.
Sony spent money in a new console but went for a cheaper simpler console design with one board and copies what they’ve done before. They spent the rest of their money and time on a new controller and operating system. Also that’s why the PS5 BC isn’t as good as the XSX.

Re: Sony Considered Raising PS5 Game Prices Beyond $70, Says New Report

S1ayeR74

It’s utterly arrogant of them to even think of this, sorry but when your competition is offering stunning value with Game Pass, you can’t come along and request to charge 80 quid or more for a game that’s not doubt stuffed full of in app purchases. And considering those in app purchases are netting billions for game devs annually then they can do one frankly! Pure unadulterated greed.
Get rid of ALL in app purchases, then we can talk about the games price!
Sonys ridiculous games prices are one of the reasons I’m considering a Series X over a PS5, so to think they wanted to price them higher is disgraceful.

Re: Site News: We Have a PS5

S1ayeR74

I’d really like to know if it has any sort of Quick Resume feature like the Series X, and if not how fast is it to swap games? That are on the SSD and not blue ray.

Re: Mark Wahlberg Gives Us Our First Glimpse of Sully in the Uncharted Movie

S1ayeR74

@Subsided Well in the U.K. on streaming services, Cineworld is closing all its cinemas globally including the U.K., I wouldn’t want to go anywhere near a cinema for some time yet! Apple apparently are interested in buying the new James Bind film to screen, and Amazon will be screening that new disaster film Greenland that was meant to be a summer blockbuster but has never made it to the big screens. So expect a film like this and others to be on streaming services, or delayed until 2022.

Re: Another Indie Dev Suggests Sony's Denying PS Store Sale Requests

S1ayeR74

Reports like that remind me why it’s such a shame the PS5 Digital looks far better then the disk based version.... I have to agree I do seem to recall through the PS4’s history it has been the same titles (noticeably first party ones) going on sale under different theme umbrellas. Gotta say on the Xbox they don’t do that and offer other games too. With Gamepass though Sony had better change their tune in the new gen as they possibly may lose some developers to the dark side....

Re: Bethesda Games Are Looking Increasingly Unlikely on PS5

S1ayeR74

@Col_McCafferty To me only Naughty Dog are good at storylines, I find Horizons story to be flat and boring by comparison, it doesn’t have the spells the ND games do with their writing, so in that case I do actually find some Xbox games surpass Sonys story’s. Of course opinions will be varied on that.

Re: Bethesda Games Are Looking Increasingly Unlikely on PS5

S1ayeR74

@Balosi I’m so impressed with BOTH companies I am struggling to decide which console to buy, that’s how good to me Xbox are now, but to me they also had great games with Forza and Gears Of War, Sonys games for a bit stale towards the end feeling like the over the shoulder story simulators they are. Feeling a bit samey.
So I’m not pessimistic at all about either company.

Re: Bethesda Games Are Looking Increasingly Unlikely on PS5

S1ayeR74

@Balosi Not to the same value though, not just for PlayStation anyway have they? A lot of Sony’s key players were there from the very start, indeed the CEO of Polyphony began his career by being the note taker at all of Sony’s PlayStation meetings in its very early beginnings.

Re: Bethesda Games Are Looking Increasingly Unlikely on PS5

S1ayeR74

@TheFrenchiestFry Absolutely, I applaud him for what he’s achieved. Especially with the idea of GamePass. It will certainly be a closer race this time. I’m also interested to see what their new AAA studio The Initiative makes especially with all the ex Naughty Dog employees they’ve hired.

Re: All PS5 Launch Games

S1ayeR74

That must be 9 exclusives at launch, 9!! Microsoft has one if The Medium is a lunch game for the Series X and S..... it’s beginning to look a lot like a repeat of this gen.. one platform has games one doesn’t...
