Re: PS5 Pro Is '100%' Happening, Says Reliable Report

S1ayeR74

It seems stupid to me to do this if it’s true, the PS5 just like the XSX have not been pushed to their limits at all! The only reasonable next gen game so far was the Dead Space remake, and only one game Ratchet seems to have used the PS5 SSD to its advantage.
How about they knock out tens of actual next gen games first that push the PS5 before launching a Pro model? But I don’t believe this rumour anyway. Only one I believe is the PS5 Slim.
And that fact any PS5 Pro will ,illegal cost 600 plus in the UK also makes it seem bogus.

Re: UK's Activision Buyout Block Prevents Microsoft from Trying Again for 10 Years

S1ayeR74

I think Microsoft should have never tried to buy Activision Blizzard and instead used its money to sort out its existing studios, and make decent games and actually release them! Not release 30FPS rushed games because Game Pass needs constant content.

I’m switching to PS5. Given up waiting for Xbox games and I can stream the ones I want anyway. They aren’t managing their existing studios well, extra power means nothing without decent content to use it. Just debating on disk or digital PS5?

When I heard that MS has 60 to 70% of global games services market I agreed with the CMA’s decision. MS are trying to monopolise that market for sure.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 4 - A Heart-Warming Breather

S1ayeR74

Thank God, back to the story at hand moving it along. Not a pointless love story that doesn’t seem to do anything for the main story? And was completely different to the game. Still the connection between Joel and Ellie feels nice existent to forced and synthetic at the moment. Very odd seeing more of the older Ellie personality in the younger Ellie in the show.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 1 - Faithful Retelling Deviates in the Right Ways

S1ayeR74

Joel is cast well, Ellie is cast well and she’s really captured the game characters attitude. No idea why they changed the race of Joel’s daughter? She’s only in it for 15 minutes. But so far it’s great, exactly like the game pretty much, not sure why I expected anything else lol. Looking forward to them killing off Joel… hate TLOU2, maybe I should play it again to see if I like it anymore? This she is going to make me want to play the first game again too haha. TLOU and Uncharted are the only reasons I have a PS.

Re: Microsoft Invites Sony to Sign Its Own 10-Year Call of Duty Deal

S1ayeR74

@Ravix The FTC president is a crazy democrat, who seems to literally hate large successful corporations no matter who they are. She has blocked several large deals, and I believe several were challenged in court and the FTC lost, they are going out of their remit and policies due to the presidents actions. Latest reports are due to this history they are split on the deal, and in all probability to save themselves further embarrassment they'll let it through.

Re: PS5 Price Increase Has Some Japanese Players Praying for PC Port of Final Fantasy 16

S1ayeR74

@thefourfoldroot1 I can tell your delusion by claiming MS is working on a monopoly. They make a profit on Game Pass you know as do the developers. It comes from the massive number of subscribers. Sony are making a profit on every PS5, they have done for about a year now, this price increase will only further that profit margin. But hey you defend it like you are, heaven forbid you’d ever criticise Sony for ‘anything’. And Nintendo have been making a profit and outselling everyone for several years now, so yet again your argument is not really valid.
And Sony has the monopoly in effect by being the dominant market leader.

Re: PS5 Price Increase Has Some Japanese Players Praying for PC Port of Final Fantasy 16

S1ayeR74

@thefourfoldroot1 You sure have a great alternate reality field.. Sony have the monopoly, they have the biggest share by far out of the players in the market; so you should be asking yourself that very question.. instead of making excuses for a ridiculous price gouging increase in the PS5. I've never seen a group of consumers defend a multi billion dollar corporations price increase so much. It's ridiculous. And your statement makes no sense what to ever in its attempt to defend this move.
I'm glad Japanese consumers are mad at Sony, hope they lose mass market share over there now, Nintendo will be the winners then and PC's it seems.

Re: PS5 Price Increase Has Some Japanese Players Praying for PC Port of Final Fantasy 16

S1ayeR74

I look forward to the day Game Pass inevitably goes into PlayStation, because it'll be fascinating to see how the Sony fans defend it. Seriously reading comments on here if I was Jim Ryan I'd instantly double the console price increase and charge an extra £10 for all games, because it seems you all will be more than happy to pay that! It highlights perfectly why so many satire videos are made about Sony fans on You Tube.

Re: PS5 Price Increase Confirmed for UK, Europe, Japan, Canada, and More

S1ayeR74

@UltimateOtaku91 haha fish and chips cost more because the U.K. put sanctions on Russias fish exports, and the U.K. market gets around 30% of its white fish from Russia, or did, so the price increase has bugger all to do with the increase in inflation.
Your analogy is flawed and not applicable.

And last I checked Sony wasn’t increasing its prices on all the other products they make and sell like TV’s and speakers etc…

Re: PS Vita's PS Store Says Content Is No Longer for Sale

S1ayeR74

@NEStalgia It is a fantastic little machine; so much potential, I have my launch PSP still too that still works, although I don't use it much these days as I want it to last and not kill the laser. Both devices are pocketable though. I have a Switch OG model too but don't use it much. I still use my Vita though. I couldn't believe what Sony did to it? I think they were scared of competing with the mobile gaming market revolution that was growing and tablet gaming. And Apple. Funny thing now is all the successful mobile apps these days are based on console games.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@somnambulance I think their are a lot of hidden gems on Game Pass, even multiplat ones. But the big games are coming, personally I enjoyed Halo Infinite campaign. Just depends on the delays, lots of those happening. I did hear Naughty Dog may be working in a new IP? Could be interesting. I think it will be a good battle this time. It's what you need.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@GADG3Tx87 Again you are wrong, that’s why you won’t convince me of anything. You ignore facts, MS suddenly only started using AMD? You haven’t a clue where they use AMD chips unless you work for them, and judging by their access to chips looking at their supply chain, they use them a lot more then SONY does and get priority treatment.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@GADG3Tx87 No, Game Pass is on mobile devices, any computer, tablets, and console.
I think you'll find their are a few million more computers that can run Game Pass via streaming or natively, then their are consoles. Your the one ignoring the facts and twisting them to suite an incorrect narrative.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@GADG3Tx87 Oh dear, well you can ignore simple well know factual business practices and believe the hyperbole rumours if you like, more fool you. Console sales aren't important to Microsoft, they are only a nice surprise to them. Shame you don't get that.
And it's a well known fact also that more Series X consoles are available as it has finished building and installing its Series X server blades, all facts you are choosing to ignore.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@GADG3Tx87 And they still place bigger orders with AMD then Sony does, it's entire game streaming service runs on thousands of Xbox Series X server blades for one, so you are wrong. Do some research yourself. You could look at the Surface store page for one as you'll see AMD chip versions are offered alongside Intel ones.

And why are posting a link to a 'rumour'? Any business in existence has priority customers, it's not a big secret but the only way they get the status is by being big customers placing the most orders... it's not rocket science.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@Mezzer What a ridiculous nationalist comment, you do actually realise Sony closed most if not all it's international SEC offices and moved operations to America right? So most of the staff at PlayStation making the key decisions are probably Americans, how does that affect your hate?

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

S1ayeR74

@GADG3Tx87 MS don't pay for 'chip priority' that doesn't exist, instead it's the exact same as any other company, the more orders you put in the higher up the list of priority customers you climb and more requests you can make, and the reality is Microsoft spends a lot more with AMD then Sony does, thus it gets preferential treatment.

Re: Best PS5 SSD 2022: Boost Your PS5 Storage Capacity

S1ayeR74

Bit of a tip for you, I got my brother in law the WD Black 1TB SN850, (the one Cerney recommended) with heatsink for his PS5 last Christmas, got it in the Black Friday / week sales, and it was cheaper on Western Digitals own website then Amazon was, so make sure you check the manufactures sites also. My Brother in law hasn't made any complaints about the drive so must be working well for him, when I tested it I found it very fast too.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Patch Restores Servers After 24 Hours, Polyphony Digital Comments on Microtransactions

S1ayeR74

@Titntin A balanced reply, and in app purchases or MTX, whatever you want to call them, unfortunately are being forced on people. It’s the result of the mobile games market, developers found out they could data mine you and sell that information on, and make a killing on in app purchases in ‘free to play’ games. And they have been trying to repeat that same forums in premium titles ever since.
It is just plain simple greed at the end of the day, it’s what’s wrong with the world today, greed and selfishness is out of control, must offer value to share holders etc.
I only hope players refuse to buy the game, hurt them in the pockets as that is the only way to make them change it. The power of the customer can change the direction of business models if they can’t sell what they want to you to maximise profits.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Patch Restores Servers After 24 Hours, Polyphony Digital Comments on Microtransactions

S1ayeR74

@Titntin Their greed is balanced? Is that what you are saying? I didn't call them evil I said it's corporate greed, which it is. A game that lacked in app purchases in review copies, releases full of them.
It's also a little confusing as on one hand you claim you don't need to grind to earn cars but in the other you do? But if it's no different to before, however I've seen many say it's not the same as before and you have to work harder to earn cars now. So it seems to be differing opinions on this game.
But in app purchases of cars should have no place in the game outside of DLC packs at reasonable costs. It to me sounds just like the mobile game Real Racing 3 which introduced the cost of buying a single in game car as the same as the 70 pounds they charge for GT7.
We will agree to disagree I think.
You also did not need to bring up Xbox games either that have nothing to do with GT7 other then you using it as an excuse to somehow paint Sony as good guys, rather then a company after all the money in your wallet.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Patch Restores Servers After 24 Hours, Polyphony Digital Comments on Microtransactions

S1ayeR74

@Titntin Wrong, you do not need to spend money in Halo or Forza 5 to buy weapons or cars, you DO in GT7. Their is a big difference in the approach, GT7 is like a free to play mobile racing game, only it’s also a £70 premium console game… it’s disgusting corporate greed from Polygon and Sony playing on its fans wallets.
The fact it’s single player campaign has to be always online to work is just icing on the mess of a cake they’ve made of GT7, which is a shame as it’s a legendary racing series, but greed has evidentially got the better of them now.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

S1ayeR74

@HungryHungryHomer I only remember endless PlayStation fans and content creators and media constantly stating the Xbox has no games. So I don't recall Xbox starting it at all, even if they others took it to the next level agains Xbox.
As for COD I never said it won't be in other platforms. Although reading the press release that may not be true, but we shall see. And COD doesn't need to be different, it's more or less the top selling game every year, it doesn't need to change.

Re: Will Call of Duty and Other Activision Blizzard Games Come to PS5, PS4?

S1ayeR74

@The_Moose Yes they are, with 25 million subscribers: http://news.xbox.com/en-us/2022/01/18/welcoming-activision-blizzard-to-microsoft-gaming/ and growing, and that £1 you keep going in about is a special offer only for new customers and is for a limited time..
Game Pass is fantastic and no doubt when Sony launch their version of it, Sony fans will be praising it as the greatest thing in gaming.... because that's the hypocrisy they have. Microsoft aren't strangling anything.
As for safe games, just when was the last time Sony allowed it's studios to make a game that wasn't an over the shoulder third person story simulator?

Re: Will Call of Duty and Other Activision Blizzard Games Come to PS5, PS4?

S1ayeR74

@The_Moose Yeah mate it is... it's called a business model... it's why they are making a profit from it. And I crating understand it. But hey if you are more qualified to know better then the entire Microsoft executive team, management, analysts, marketing, then please do tell.
But over a year now and it's going from strength to strength. And Sony are heavily rumoured, even in articles in this very site, to be copying the same business model. But sure it's not sustainable.

Re: Reaction: Activision Blizzard Buyout Is Devastating for PS5, PS4

S1ayeR74

@ShogunRok Good grief you lot STILL don't get it? Amazing and Netflix and Apple and Meta have all showing a great interest in gaming, all offer big service platforms, I won't be surprised to see them start buying up those publishers and studios you mention. Because that is exactly what Phil meant when he said Sony was not their competition anymore. Your eyes shouldn't by on Microsoft all the time..

This 'end of an era' clap trap is pure click bait knee jerk reaction. Sony aren't going anywhere, but I'd suggest they ditch the management there...

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

S1ayeR74

@DotM Well, Sony and Nintendo fans spent years constantly calling Microsoft out as not having any exclusives. So along comes Phil, turns around a sinking ship, and totally changed its business model and it now has umpteen exclusive games.
But look at Sony, they had a massive success last gen on the PS4, so why do they do? They close all their international offices, replace the board at Sony, move all of SCE to the US, ignore their home market, fire or push out the heads that made the PS4 such a success and then try to cancel the PS3 and Vita rather then embrace backwards compatibility.
I think if they left the PS model alone as it was with PS4, rather then rip it up and start again seemingly, they would be in a better position. But stock shortages aren't Sonys fault entirely.

The PS5 is a very capable machine, for me it's just the management that are questionable.
