Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Rare But Massive Frame Rate Drops Remain Unfixed After Patch 1.0.3

Sanctanox

I love this game but my biggest game breaker is the extremely loud noise of the PS4pro's fan. Never played a game before that made the console that noisy - it is even louder if you are in the menu. Other games that use the power of the console 100% are not even close to be that loud. I can't even understand the dialogs anymore. Need to find my USB headphones to play this game.

Edit: Just cleaned the fans with a q-tip and the noise is better. Not perfect, but better

Re: Evasion - Farpoint Meets Its Match

Sanctanox

@LiamCroft Well, in my opinion it is a wave shooter because the gameplay is more or less a SHMUP like galaga or invaders with fixed move patterns of the enemies with no enemy AI but prerecorded behavior. No, I did not buy or play it but I watched in game footage and read 3 reviews who all told the same (repetitive, wave-shooter, very boring).

Re: Evasion - Farpoint Meets Its Match

Sanctanox

Sometimes I don't get your reviews. I often really like them but come on: This game costs 40 Euros and is EXTREMELY repetitive, every level looks the same, it is just a SHMUP. A wave shooter with good but very boring graphics (no variety). Ok for 10-15 Euros but not in the same price range as Astro Bot or Farpoint. And I say that as a person who likes SHMUPS.

Re: An Update for PixelJunk Monsters 2 on PS4 Promises Big Changes

Sanctanox

I bought it and enjoyed it but did not like the close camera. You had to memorize the whole level because there was no way to see where the next opponents came. It is quite hard so I needed youtube videos to beat it on the hardest mode. I will come back after the patch is out and then finally go for the platinum.

Re: PS5 Will Be the Last Console Before Streaming Takes Over, Says Ubisoft Boss

Sanctanox

So stupid: a) only a fraction of gamers worldwide could use due to connection speed b) the input lag makes a lot of games unplayable c) good luck streaming VR with 90 or 120 FPS. I can't hear this nonsense anymore. I have glass fibre and even with that connection I have an input lag that makes jump and runs unplayable in streams. Can't imagine this can be fixed. And even if everything works out. Imagine the workstation centers needed if 10.000.000 people want to play at the same time? Absurd. You would see the sign: Too many players want to play this game, sorry

Re: Stormdivers Is the New Game from Nex Machina Dev Housemarque

Sanctanox

From what I know about the game it is the opposite of what made me love Housemarque games. Another online focused team based game. The major players like Blizzard and co can do that better. Housemarque should focus on unique games and not try to get a part of the big cake. There are only crumbs left

Re: Review: Octahedron (PS4)

Sanctanox

Thanks for the review. It made me buy the game and man: It is fantastic! Great, great gameplay, good graphics, good music. Highly recommend it.

Re: Review: A Hat in Time (PS4)

Sanctanox

@Ralizah Of course you decide that for yourself, I am not your father nor will I make it a christmas present for you. The game does not have a constant 30FPS on a PS4 pro, so good look with the switch version.

Re: Review: A Hat in Time (PS4)

Sanctanox

@Ralizah Yooka-Laylee has some big problems: Horrible frame rate (a good platformer should be in 60FPS for exact controls but it is most of the time BELOW 30FPS) and a level design were you just never know where to go next. If you don't play for 2-3 days you are completely lost.

Re: Analyst: Gamers Are Overreacting Over Star Wars, Publishers Should Increase Prices

Sanctanox

Make games as expensive as you want but get rid off all microtransactions. This way the MARKET decides and not the addiction. If a game is very expensive people won't buy it or wait for sales but microtransactions are really a mess because players who are addicted and buy loot boxes destroy the fun for ALL gamers. Maybe 10% of the customers buy loot boxes and 90% have to suffer.

Re: Review: Need for Speed Payback (PS4)

Sanctanox

Thanks Pushsquare for showing these publishers the middle finger. I do my part and never buy a pay to win game. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who just don't understand that this destroys good games.

Re: Poll: What Year Should Sony Launch the PS5?

Sanctanox

I think a PS5 should come in 2019. I am a tech nerd, I would also buy it in 2018 day one but as I hope for a new PSVR 2.0 together with the PS5 and having a way better VR headset in 2018 would be almost impossible as hardware prices have to drop first. But the most important thing: The PS5 HAS to be 100% compatible to the PS4 games. PS5 games will of course not run on PS4 but PS4 games have to run on PS5. This should be a very easy task for sony as the consoles are based on PC hardware.

Re: Housemarque Canning Coin-Op After Commercial Flops

Sanctanox

I bought every game for PS3 and PS4 from Housmarque except for Matterfalls because of the too complex controls. I love their games. I like coop but don't like pvp multiplayer. I think their is not a lot of room for many pvp games out there because if the player base is small, a game dies very quickly, quicker than any single player game. So pvp multiplayer is not the solution for every game.

Re: Feature: The Promising PS4 Games of September 2017

Sanctanox

I will ignore Destiny 2 because of the arrogance of the developers. They do not implement 60FPS in Destiny 2. Not on PS4Pro not on XBOX One X. Hello? The Xbox one x is for sure 3-4 times (or even more) faster than the xbox one s and 30 to 60 FPS is not possible? That is just *****. I am a former developer, they just don't want to because it is additional work. What made me angry: The developers said: "if you want 60FPS, play on PC". Sorry, this and the extremely high price of the series (you can buy this game over and over again with all the addons) just killed it. Bungie is on my personal black list - as if they cared

Re: Huge No Man's Sky PS4 Patch 1.3 Does Add Multiplayer, Kind Of

Sanctanox

It is ridiculous. The developers should have done: a) release the game 1-2 years later when it's finished or b) don't promise things they couldn't deliver. I am so angry about this game (payed full price for the diginal version on release so I could not resell it) that I don't care about any updates. Won't play this game anymore.

Re: Why Can't PS4 Pro Handle Destiny 2 at 60fps? Here's an Explanation

Sanctanox

@Gamer83 If Sony will allow 30FPS on the PS5 developers will publish 30FPS games even on a PS5. It is as simple as that. It doesn't matter how powerful a system is. 30FPS are easier to achieve. No polishment, lazy programming, EXTREME graphic upgrades. Believe me. ONLY if Sony or Microsoft forces developers to hit 60FPS something will change.
And if there was a PC standard - like: every PC has to have this or that power - there would be tons of 30FPS PC games out there.
