I gave up on the game and just moved on to play games I actually enjoyed instead.

Keep in mind that I finished Final Fantasy XIII, XV and VII REBIRTH (I don't like REBIRTH) but XVI was just not Final Fantasy to me at all.

XVI was by far the worst game of 2023 for me, I genuinely couldn't stand it at all.

The miserable tone, insufferably easy combat with insane damage spounge enemies, every character being boring bar Cid and the worst writing I've ever seen for women in a JRPG was just a huge turn off for me.

No plans to watch this, hated Fallout 3 from what I played so no thanks.

Don't know where you got that leap of "your opinion is the only one that matters" junk from because it's clearly obvious that isn't what I meant.

I've played the game and it just baffles me that people can stomach a game that is 70% filler and 30% actual importance but you do you, have fun with that.

Also, I'm not the one making conspiracies in this article, just look at all the people getting mad over nothing because someone dares not to like their precious REBIRTH.

Nope, I enjoy fighting the enemies because I enjoy Soulslike's actually. No need to be mad that this game is already a better time than VII REBIRTH.

So it's not a bloated install like FFVII REBIRTH, great to see.

Apparently there's a conspiracy against the bloated mess that is Final Fantasy VII: REBIRTH now. God forbid it be an overly bloated mess of a game and not the masterpiece that reviewers are making it out to be.

As someone who has finished a good chunk of the series and adores Final Fantasy, I honestly find the 93 on MC baffling.

Highly disagree myself. I thought XVI was genuinely terrible and I stopped playing it after 15 hours (I managed to sit through XV) and I found REMAKE so average on replay.

REMAKE being far too linear (I get why it is before people start getting crazy) and far far far too scripted just made it a slog to get through for me on replay.

After playing the demo for Stellar Blade and the full game for REBIRTH, I heavily preferred Stellar Blade.

I honestly think REBIRTH is one of the worst Square Enix games in recent memory and no, I'm not trolling here, I genuinely hated it by the end.

The amount of bloat is absolutely insane and the awful story changes entirely killed my interest in the 3rd game.

I went to Japan last year and there was definitely some interest in PlayStation (at least far more than internet dwellers have you believe).

Granted I went to Bic Camera so there was a lot more people.

Tired of this narrative of "fps doesn't matter" because Xbox is having issues with all their first party games reaching 60fps now.

60fps should absolutely be the standard for these two consoles or the target at least.

Hellblade 2 being 30fps is laughable considering it's a 5 hour long cinematic game and I don't care how pretty it looks.

The industry mocked the PS4 Pro (rightfully so) for having poor framerates compared to the One X and they should be calling this out for these new systems.

I got the only Xbox game I want, they can keep the rest.

Oh man, I'd love to own it on N64 one day. I have Resident Evil Gaiden on GBC at least and the original on the SEGA Saturn but the N64 of RE2 would be the crown jewel lol.

Great find with the GameCube version of RE3.

Have both RE2 and RE3 on Dreamcast & GameCube myself.

Played it and absolutely loved my time with it.

That's extremely impressive and good on Namco for supporting the game for so long when other developers give up support fairly quickly. Double edge sword though as the amount of DLC is more than enough to turn off new players like me.

I think they peaked during the OG Xbox era myself. Nothing on 360 was close to as amazing as Ninja Gaiden Black and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate for me.

This current gen has been an absolute failure to me. There are good games but most of them still run on PS4 so nothing is really taking advantage of these new consoles so far.

Absolutely no pity for Microsoft at this point. After their pathetic consolidating the industry because they're bad at it and trying to deter businesses from setting up in the UK because they weren't getting their way initially, no time for their nonsense whatsoever.

I stand by that Xbox has gotten worse and worse with each passing generation and lost all their spark once Kinect became a thing.

2002 - 2009 was peak Xbox imo.

Well that's really disappointing to hear, I was really excited for this one too.

It's the only Xbox game that I wanted so yes, I will be playing this on PS5.

I have it on Xbox as well but can't stand the controller.

Something is clearly wrong with Square Enix's vision of Final Fantasy now and they need to start correcting this.

I like Rebirth fine enough but it pales in comparison to the golden era of Final Fantasy to me and I don't think it comes close to the original Final Fantasy VII.

Unless Sony acquires them, they should stop doing timed deals with all three of them and start focusing on becoming a better third party publisher.

I wish this remained forgotten and we got Daxter instead.

I refuse to support them again after the Persona 5 Royal PS5 edition nonsense and every single move they've made since has only reinforced that stance for me.

I play JRPGs primarily so I don't think Persona is even that great of a series and is possibly the most overrated one I can think of.

I do however enjoy Persona 3 enough that I would have broken that stance for one game because of how much I enjoyed that one but Atlus has made it very clear that they don't give a toss about certain players.
