@Cherip-the-Ripper no not at all. In fact a lot of the models were recycled since FM4. People have noticed the same inaccuracies in cars models in every game (Silvia s15 for example)
@Cherip-the-Ripper well it starts with FM5 being a huge downgrade from 4. 300 less cars, only 20 locations, and changes to the career mode. From there, 6 and 7 are simply trying to get back to how good 4 was. The lack of environments in the new game (20 VS FM7's 33), and the weird RPG leveling system instead of just using credits like every other racing game on the planet, are my two biggest concerns. For me though I'd have to buy a Series console so it's a lot more money for me VS someone who already has one who wouldn't be as fussy. I did buy an xbone just for the Forza games but was a bit disappointed and regretted buying it, and don't want to repeat that mistake
@UltimateOtaku91 PS fans been spoilt rotten the last generation and now get upset when there aren't as many games or other platforms are getting good games
@Cashews dunno why you have to act like that, I was just saying. I care a lot more about what fans think than publications. I'm a huge racing game fan and have every reason to want Forza to be good, but I've been disappointed since FM4 and the reboot isn't looking so good.
@Cashews Forza has already been criticized heavily by fans for it's weird gray graphics, reusing old incorrect car models, a lack of tracks at launch, and the weird nonsense RPG elements. It'll probably be forgotten about after a few weeks like every Forza Motorsport game after 4
@Shepherd_Tallon wow that's a lot of ratchet and clank games. I haven't played a single one yet! Been meaning to play rifts apart but haven't got around to it. I don't have any form of Xbox anymore so I have even third party games to catch up on PS3! Will take a while. At least the games are cheap
@Shepherd_Tallon Same here. I had the 360 and had no plans on changing but my dad ended up getting a PS3 slim on a whim. We got uncharted and the last of us and yeah they were fantastic games my whole family enjoyed playing. My 360 died, got another one but never quite got back into games until I got a PS4. My dad gave me his PS3 so now I get to go back and enjoy some of the other games I missed out on
@Shepherd_Tallon Yeah and I hope they don't stop making them. People seem to complain about the Portal a lot, almost forgetting they can just not buy it... and let the small group of people who will buy it enjoy it.
I forgot about PS move. But I kinda love that Sony is willing to try new things (well move just copied Wii but still) like move, PS TV, PSVR/2 and probably the PS portal, that are very niche and probably won't make much money
This is one of those games I really should hate as it has a lot of things I dislike (turn based, long campaign, lots and lots of dialogue) but the very high praise makes me want to try it. So will wait for a sale I think as I have a feeling I won't enjoy it
Generation Zero is something I've always been curious about but never wanted to spend my money on so I'll give that a try. As a huge fan of saints row 1+2 I'm still salty about 3+4, so I don't feel positive towards the reboot. But maybe I should give it a try. As for Black Desert I avoid MMOs like the plague as it'll probably consume my life
@Bionic-Spencer MS did try to literally double the price of Gold a few years ago, and was met with so much backlash they reversed it and made F2P games actually free to play
One thing bothering me which makes me think it's completely fake, is the hole for the stand. The physical and digital versions of the PS5 use different stands, given the different widths of the base of the PS5. So then, if the disc drive is detachable, you would need to use a different stand to stand it vertically? And depending on what side it lays on, even to use it horizontally. So you'd need to remove the disc drive, change the plate, then use a different stand? Unless, they use a massive plate when there's no disc drive, so it has the same stand, but at that point, what's even the point? Surely they could've found other ways to cut costs and just sell a disc version only for £400. It just seems very strange.
@theSpectre I don't think Sony has to react at all by acquisitions. That's even if any publisher wants to be acquired by Sony at all. Sony shouldn't retaliate. If they simply focus on delivering amazing 1st party titles, they won't be going anyway. Any further acquisitions from MS will be under heavy scrutiny
@theSpectre I wasn't on about exclusives here, rather than all the people saying who they'll buy next, without much regard to wether those publishers/developers actually put themselves up for sale or not. The same goes for those arguing Sony will by Square Enix, Capcom, etc. And I wouldn't be happy if Sony did, I'm fully against the Bethesda and Activision acquisitions, why would I be ok with Sony doing it? Developer acquisitions like Obsidian make perfect sense, even though it's probably the biggest loss to me, I can't really argue against it at all.
@theSpectre ZeniMax was for sale as they were struggling to make a profit. Same thing goes for Obsidian Entertainment. Activision needed a distraction from all it's internal *****. I can't see any profitable publishers losing out on the huge market share of PS for instant cash from MS. But maybe I don't know enough
@PlasmaticSnake the only reason people actually pay for plus is to play online. It's not literally free yes, but it'll cost 6.99/month to play online with or without the extra games. Any cheaper is likely unsustainable
@PlasmaticSnake So Charge for online because servers are expensive Add free games Add exclusive discounts People for some reason don't like free stuff and release a cheaper tier for online only
Exactly what I expected really, the same thing happens with Netflix, Spotify, etc all streaming services. The creators don't like them but they feel they have to be on them to stay relevant. People say well why are publishers choosing to be on there then, to me it's the same as how the majority of artists hate Spotify but are still on there. If you're not, no one cares, and no one's gonna buy your album.
Eventually every damn publisher will have their own subscription service just like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Amazon etc etc (ubi+, ea play)
@random_player just a genetic thing. I'm white but my hair is dark brown, and my beard is half ginger, and some grey, despite not having a grey hair on my head. Anyway ...
@CallMeDuraSouka I understand your point but after all the PS3 still managed to outsell the 360 globally. Not saying it was better, I own/ed both, and like both equally for different reasons. But yeah, Sony put their heads down and worked on software and hardware, made some smaller acquisitions, Xbox cocked it up, and the PS4 took a landslide victory. Why Sony don't just focus on working now I don't know.
@Deityjester my apologies, I lazily only read the first paragraph on Wikipedia which only mentions the pc platforms. Isometric RPGs aren't usually my cup of tea but I might give it a go if it's on sale
@tangyzesty I was thinking about getting Series S for Stalker 2 initially, but obviously that's been delayed and I hope the Devs take their time with it. It's also allegedly only a 3-month timed exclusive. But yeah avowed looks like the only console-seller to my taste, a more linear RPG that won't take hundreds of hours to complete suits me more. Outer Worlds is still in my backlog but Obsidian have a pretty solid track record, I have no doubt Avowed will be a cult hit.
I don't think Sony need to buy any publisher/developer at all. Activision and Bethesda exclusively on Xbox would bring the PS VS Xbox install base from 65/35 (there abouts) to what? 50/50 at best? Considering they'd all be on PC as well. So it would be like the 360/PS3 days, where PS3 still outsold Xbox despite not having as good exclusives or hardware. I might be missing key information but it will not "put Sony out of business" in the slightest. When this is all over, any further acquisitions from MS will be highly questioned.
Just my own opinion but Starfield looks awfully grey and bland. I didn't know you could make space look so boring. It will sell well no doubt though. Avowed is the one that has my attention
@Vacuumator Google glasses. Google lens is the app for identifying things, reverse image search, translation etc. This is the new Google glasses for sure
It is up to developers whether games run at 4k60 or not. There were games on PS2 that could run at 60fps, and others that could run at 1080i. If a pro comes out, some Devs will still chose either 4k or 60fps, not necessarily both, especially with RT involved. I'm not interested in a pro but would be happy to trade my PS5 in for a smaller, quieter, more efficient slim model

@Sakai because they redesign the console halfway through every generation

Add free games
