@SPGFan34 I also switched to PS this generation, you should get Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection (the original trilogy remastered). For less than £30 you get not one but three of the best games of last generation:
I agree, Robert. I hate those sugar-coated excuses. Good that Capcom learnt their lesson, I plan to buy the game as soon as it is complete but, to be honest, I'm enjoying Killer Instinct 3 much more than I expected, such an awesome game.
Why hasn't Sony released any more PS2 dowloads? You can easily get the three Uncharted games remastered on PS4 but not many other great games like Mass Effect.
They could mean: · Resident Evil 7 (hopefully survival horror, let Umbrella Corps be the shooter) · Resident Evil 2 Remake (in the works) · Resident Evil 4 & 5 remastered (confirmed for the second half of the year) Who knows...
Good job, Naughty Dog! Metal Gear Solid V is great, too. Even though I'm a Nintendo fan, I think Super Mario 3D World is very overrated, it can't hold a candle to Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario Galaxy.
@get2sammyb Yeah, I haven't played 4 but it looks like it's the best, and that's logical because of all the experience the developers got after making the three first games, plus the better hardware. Naughty Dog are really impressive.
Also, I don't understand reviews that lower the score because of the hype or because the reviewer liked 2 more than 4. Every game should be reviewed fairly.
It has been very well received by most critics, so congratulations Naughty Dog! One more must-buy must-play for me (after I beat the Nathan Drake Collection).
@get2sammyb I also think a new Ratchet & Clank game or remake is likely to happen. In any case, it would be good for PS4 if it gets some old-school cartoon platform and even racing games. It makes its library more varied, too.
Not because it's great and people like me still like 3D platformers but because of the "substantial marketing campaign", according to Nintendo Life's article about Ratchet & Clank and Star Fox Zero in the UK sales chart.
So the PS4K/Neo concept is making games with two hardware configurations (kind of a PC thing) because to stop supporting PS4 at this point would be suicidal for Sony. Some 3DS games work like this, so you could say Nintendo (re-)started this idea on dedicated gaming hardware. The only problem I see is that developers might aim for the Neo better performance and leave PS4 with whatever is left, which is already happening on Nintendo 3DS, where some games are unplayable on the original hardware, e.g., Hyrule Warriors Legends.
I realise how amazing the original characters designs were back in the 16 bit era. Each character was unique and had a great design. I really think Street Fighter II was a masterpiece.
Why not? There are a lot of people who haven't even played it. And lots of people would buy a remaster of any FF game, too. I got FFX/X-II HD Remaster and will get FFVII after having played the original PC version long ago. Well, if it's just a port, it's better than nothing, anyway, but I prefer remasters and remakes. Square Enix is busy now but they can pay other teams like Nintendo does.
I haven't played it yet but according to Digital Foundry's analysis the new generation version is much better. The frame rate is massively improved. As a Resident Evil game, it can be disappointing, but if you play it knowing it's not a classic Resident Evil experience, I think you can enjoy it. Also, you can keep on following the story of Resident Evil, something I love to do. I will get it, probably physically, but of course I hope Resident Evil 7 goes back to classic survival horror. Let Umbrella Corps be the shooter franchise, Capcom.
@get2sammyb Hey Sammy, do you think you could put the link to the European store update next time and vice versa so it's easier for both Americans and Europeans to access the correct one?
I think it's a great week for PS. I see that the price of Ratchet & Clank is not premium, which is great. It's out in Europe tomorrow, I hope it has the same price here. If not, I can wait, because I just got The Nathan Drake Collection.
@sub12 I've never cared about trophies at all. I like getting all of the secrets if I am enjoying the game, but for me getting all the trophies is just a waste of time.
@Carl-G I'm quite excited about this Ratchet & Clank game too, it looks gorgeous!
As a relatively new PlayStation user, I just ordered Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection. One of the first PS games I bought was The Last of Us Remastered, a Naughty Dog game that I liked much. I also like Tomb Raider games and they say Uncharted is similar, so I think I'll enjoy the Uncharted trilogy quite much. If so, I'll also get Uncharted 4.
@get2sammyb LOL I didn't mean to be rude, it's just an impression I get sometimes. Let's make an article about why PS4 has just a few PS2 games and PS3 had a massive retro library.
@Anchorsam_9 I totally agree with you, Sam! And you are very brave to express all that on Push Square, where there's an excessive tendency to honour every step that Sony makes.
I bought the PlayStation 4 six months after it launched and I can tell you I'm quite disappointed as a new PlayStation player, not only for Plus service but mostly for the lacklustre catalogue of old PlayStation games. I expected something like PlayStation 3 store, where you could find lots of PS and PS2 games, but on PS4 there are just a dozen of PS2 games, and none of them are what I was looking for. I really hoped for PS4 to be at least as appealing as PS3, that had not only brilliant new games but an impressive retro library.
@adf86 I agree. The game should have been delayed because of the lack of modes and content, because that harms the game's reputation, but the game will be solid and probably the best fighting game of this generation once the content has been delivered. The only problem was releasing SFV before the masses would be happy with what was included when they made their purchase.
EDIT: I will get this game, but I'm waiting for more content to be released, and a good deal if possible.
Great news. I hope both consoles keep performing well so we get lots of good games and deals like we're doing now. Both Sony and Microsoft fans benefit from this competition.
Xbox One is much more interesting now (Kinect-less, cheaper, backwards compatible) than when it launched, while PS4 has never stopped selling, with and without games. Actually, like @BAMozzy said, it's not that Xbox One is not successful, but PS4 achieved a stratospheric success right from the start, most probably because of Xbox One early mistakes: Kinect, higher price and reserved resources not available for developers.
I don't like Sony fans saying that Xbox is dead either, but that's not true anyway. And now that Kinect era is over, it is expected that Xbox One can benefit from it and get a better performance, with higher resolutions and frame rates.

@SPGFan34 That leaked Bioshock collection is on my radar, too. I've never played Bioshock before.

@SPGFan34 Yeah, and perhaps it includes DLC by default.

@carlos82 @BAMozzy Hopefully now that Umbrella Corps exists, Resident Evil can be Resident Evil again. Capcom no longer has an excuse.

@Grawlog Okay but in this case it's not a reboot since it's basically the same game with better visuals.

@Grawlog It's a remake, it's not a reboot.
Re: Poll: Do You Want More Family Friendly Platformers on PS4?

@Grawlog It's a remake.
Re: Sony Has Now Shipped a Staggering 40 Million PS4 Consoles

Interesting way of justifying the lacklustre current Plus service. It could have been written by Sony itself.

I'm sure the game will end up being brilliant, even though it launched lacking a decent array of modes and options. It was out a little too early.
