I wish we could go back to the time when a game was announced and arrived a few months later. There will come a point I'll have to consider whether i may actually be dead before things arrive.

Love this game. Its just good old fashioned co-op fun.

Im quite keen to play aliens fireteam but i cant shake the feeling that it screams PS Plus title to me.

@Denni5m mate, i used to load games from a tape cassette, waiting a few minutes while something moves from one hard drive to another is a non issue if you ask me.

@ATaco you dont even need super fast internet. I just have my ps4 games on an external HDD and shuttle any PS5 games im not using onto it as well.

I havent found any reason to stump out for another SSD yet and, being honest, cant see one coming along anytime soon.

I'll tell you what wouldnt go amiss, an actual new game from them.

Im gonna assume 9 come with the base game and the remainder are purchasable via lootbox

I do find it odd that some folks want Sony to backtrack on this when its likely nothing to do with them. It will be the developers choice to require an online connection for single player.

I see both sides as im not to fussed personally about it requiring to be online but completely get why people are annoyed as it could leave them with a dead game in a few years.

But one guy in these comments says they cancelled their pre order and sold their PS5 because of this. I mean, come on. Thats just toddler tantrum levels of reaction. We havent even had 100% clarification as to what is needed and why.

I think folks need to calm down a touch.

This game will play and run around the same across ps5 and series X except for the usual differences. Microsodt dont need to release enhanced versions as the fact it will be on gamepass does the job for them, as people are already saying.

To be honest, i have zero interest in returning to this game. Beautiful to look at but repetitive as hell. Story is fine but the entire game boils down to raiding a camp - which is identical to every other camp - to get a bit more of the (very good) story. You may occasionally have to follow some footprints to get to said camp. But that is literally it. Even the duels have the exact same cut scene to start them off. Side quests follow the same format.

Everything else is purely optional to raise stats. Chop bamboo, write a haiku, take a bath and all are found by following a bird.

Except shrines. Because the bird is replaced by a fox and you follow that instead.

Im glad i played it but, unfortunately, it became a chore towards the end for me.

I believe it adds 4k resolution and haptic feedback as well. If they upgraded the base game for free and charged for the DLC i wouldnt see an issue. Locking that upgrade essentially behind a dlc purchase for existing owners feels off.

@LiamCroft whoever is doing the youtube channel deserves some credit because they are committed. Theres morse code on there at the minute saying 'endure survive' and another live stream due in a few hours titled 'act 2'.

Whoever they are they have fell through the rabbit hole and landed in another one.

Blue box's you tube channel had a timer counting down to the apps release. Clock hit zero and the company released a video announcing a delay of over a month. I mean, this could be a master class in how to destroy the hype you managed to build up.

Beautiful game and stunning story but the actual game play is all a bit meh for me. Very few actual things to do. Follow fox, follow bird, write haiku, wash then clear camp. Thats it, repeated for hours.

@DeepSpace5D everything about this is just weird. A studio making an indie on an alleged budget of 250 grand is using an outsource company for some of the biggest triple A games going.

All of a sudden weird videos are being put out with odd background noises and editing.

The outsourcing company in question suddenly unfollows 611 accounts, leaving only ten remaining. One of which is kojima.

The fact it has got to this point regarding an alleged indie game is an alarm bell alone. Neither sony nor kojima has said a peep except for kojima productions liking hassans video.

Its just off.

I mean, is anyone going to mention that that video in itself is just really weird. Choppy editing but a consistent clock ticking loudly throughout in perfect time.

Whatever this turns out to be its not what they are selling us right now.

@LiamCroft unless, and hear me out here, there was no rush. It was just a trailer designed to be full of hints that was prepped that way and when people asked they say it was rushed.

It could have been anything to announce that game. We had two chaps turn up on geoff's thing saying theyd formed a studio. Why not have this chap just do a video saying we are making a game that will be exclusive, its a horror, etc... instead of a random trailer that points you in a random direction.

One possibility is that the trailer was just designed to be a kind of 'gotcha!' Moment but, due to the snoball effect it had, they just went with it. The guy making it only popped up when that happened. Before that it was a name on a very limited internet page.

Either way, my moneys on it being a Dino Crisis reboot.

If this guy is genuinely just trying to tell people the truth (which is entirely possible) I imagine he was annoyed to find that this video is the only tweet that kojima productions 'liked', further fanning those flames.

Either way its a stroke of genius because the attention this game is getting is ridiculous. Whether that burns them only time will tell.

Didnt realise it was out tomorrow. Nice bonus as i have a week off next week. Picked this up a while back in a sale and its brilliant. Got the dlc for a couple of quid a while back but held off until this arrived.

Picking ps4 games up cheap to claim the upgrade at a later date is quickly becoming a hobby in its own right. Borderland 3 for fiver, jedi order for a tenner and cyberpunk for 15. Delightful little scoops.

I just picked this up really cheap from ebay but, although patches are good, my intention is still to leave it on the pile until the free upgrade drops. Picked up fallen order for a tenner a month back as well.

They are replying on twitter and state that they didnt know people thought the game was already silent hill. Something just doesnt add up here at all. Its either genius or disastrous. Either way, they have our attention.

Edit: they also confirm that Abandoned is a code name for development purposes and are excited to reveal the definitive name for it.

Huh. It would be kinda cool that after all the grief and jokes it was actually a highly rated game.

Day one for me. No questions. It could be rated zero out of ten and id still buy it just on the chance they will make more if it sells well.

@kingbreww not everyone cares about 4k though. If its HD, steady frame rate and is on gamepass it will do for me. Series S is a brilliant little machine to go along with my PS5. Not saying I'll never pick up a series x, just dont need one at the mo.

No surprise here really. You dont pay that much just to line someone elses pocket. I'll give it a tickle on my series s when it arrives.

Picked a copy of this up from ebay when they announced the free upgrade. Been sat there waiting since but im sure I'll get my tenners worth from it

@ApostateMage while both are paid, overtime is optional. Crunch is not. Thats the main difference.
