I really need to understand why is so good? What makes this stand out above everything else? It cannot be the characters? They are very bland at the start! :/

I have put a couple of hours into The Witcher 3 and I can honestly say I cannot see what makes it so good? I find the story very slow and all in the air (I have watched videos to explain the last two games but it still makes no sense).
Also I have to a agree with @Gemuarto - this guide is very confussing and backs up my other slight issue (no biggy) is that there is as much work in getting to under stand the games set up as board games I play with the friends.
Also I cannot wait for this game to disappear from internet forums - every reddit sub has turned into The WItcher 3 Sub! Aghh! It is everywhere!

@GoTNeWs4Ya from what I have watched it just looks like another, too much to do with no organisation, open world RPG like Dragon Age 3 and that left a sour taste in my mouth.

I feel like I am the only person who is not excited for this title. From what I have seen it just doesn't interest me at this moment in time. That may change but no time soon. I hope it is as good as you guys want it to be

It only works offline but you can go back online once yiu have done it

You should take film ticket prices into account here as well. I pay £10 for a movie whether it is 90mins or 180mins. So if you pay £50 for a game you could potentially get 5 times the amount compared to a film. So for that price I would expect at least 8-10hrs of good story based gameplay. I remember in the past being excited for longer films but I feel that newer, longer films can get boring quickly. Same for games. After 10hrs on a game I will usually stop playing. I do not know why but I just do. So if a game sits at 8-10hrs it is perfect for me.
Odd comparison I know but that is how i look at it.

To me this is a great move by Sony - it is like Netflix but for games! There are some months when I do not use Netflix but I still pay to have it just in case I fancy watching something. It could be the same for this.
Can any one confirm that PS Now works in the UK if you log in on a US account or is it blocked by IP? Just a thought...

To be fair though Sony do need to improve on their communication skills. Would not hurt to keep us up dated but I am.happy that the people behind the attacks are being arrested now!

Come on guys give Sony some slack. Networks can be completed (trust me I studied them for a year) and it seems that the attacks may have caused some damage. I did read that after the last attack they were modifying there systems to protect from.further attacks but looks like it is not done yet. It is all well saying that you will sell your PS4 for an Xbox but remember them were hot too. Also please remember that they had staff in on Xmas day trying to fix it. Ddos attacks are not nice - at peak times I imagine it is like trying to drive at night on the wrong side of the road.
But my question is this - will you moan when they announce the next maintenance? Problem yes because we are a very fickle bunch of people

@mitcHELLspawn I have seen a few price cuts on the Base model here in the UK. Not sure about global price cuts but there have been a few in different stores. Numerous (more than one) is not an exaggeration as it is true for around me. I will give Ms credit for listening to their players though. Instead of sticking with one plan they have changed! Look back at E3 2013 for example

Like I said before. This is a shallow victory. If the Xbone had sold this amount of consoles based upon its original price and package then I would be impressed, but I am not. Yes I know both sides had "price cuts" for Black Friday but the Xbone has had numerous price cuts in the past 12 months. Plus, the Xbone is easy to shift in the UK because if you ask a parent if their child has a console they have no idea what you are talking about but if you ask if they have an Xbox they become experts instantly! Anyway why should we really care? I am happy with my PS4 and Sony have seen a better start than the PS3!

Is this exclusive due to the PS4 and Pc being slightly more powerful than the Xbones? Fromsoftware said the same thing about Bloodhound that the PS4 was the only console capable of running it

When I was in queue in Game I saw lots of Xbones being sold. It is clever because the people who were buying them were parents. They were been encouraged to buy all sorts of crap with them too. Game loves stupid parents - they are walking bags of money. Oh well,to me the PS4 is still the better console They only issue is that for the Xbones to finally outsell they have had to remove the kinect, endless price cuts and black Friday deals. A hollow victory if you ask me.
