Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on PlayStation VR So Far?

chris730920

I am really impressed by the headset and it is so good at transporting you into the game world..... so good that I get motion sickness...damn!!!!, here are a couple of things that it needs to improve for the next version:-

HEADSET
1) The resolution needs to be upped to 4K even though it is currently impressive, fair enough the current PS4 will not have the processing power for this but the maybe the pro or PS5 would have enough power for this.
2) it needs built in headphones, preferably the size and quality of the Playstation gold headphone as it is really fiddly to put the headset on and off with the separate headphone set up that it uses currently.
3) it needs a built in camera on the front of the headset so if you need to see your "real-life surroundings you do not have to take the headset off, just switch to external camera mode to do what you need to do then switch back...simples.
CAMERA
1) needs to be motorised and able to track and configure itself automatically to your headset without having to take your headset off to adjust the camera about 20 times before getting the config right for that particular game.
MOTION CONTROLLER (Move)
1) needs to have a analogue stick (clickable) instead of the move button so if you are playing a game you can use the analogue stick to move your character and you can still use the move controller to manipulate/grab objects in the game.

I am really impressed with the playstation VR and this medium definitely has a great future ahead of it hopefully with the changes suggested

Re: No Man's Sky PS4 Crashes Will Almost Be Eradicated with This Week's Patch

chris730920

I save as often as I can either by getting in and out of the cockpit or using a save beacon so I don't tend to back track that much after a crash. With each update/patch the crashes have been getting less frequent. For the first couple of days it crashed on average 3 times per day and has been getting less with each patch. It's now down to once per day but despite of the crash problems I'm still loving the game. To avoid boredom I play the game in 1 hr sessions which breaks it up a bit.

Re: No Man's Sky's PS4 Platinum Looks Perfectly Attainable

chris730920

I'm still hyped up for this game even though the reports of getting to the centre of the galaxy in 30 hrs, I must admit to looking at the leaked footage of the gameplay and I'm even more hyped as it looks like there's more to do than I was aiming for. My aim is to mostly explore and catalogue new species, planets and learn the languages, then do a bit of trading once I have sufficient language knowledge to do so.....the centre of the universe can wait a couple of hundred hours before I aim for it I play games for the enjoyment/experiences and not for the trophies.

Re: Feature: Here's What You Do in No Man's Sky on PS4

chris730920

I can't wait.....1 week and 5 days to go (in the UK), I got paid today so I will be pre-ordering through the Playstation network so I can pre-load before launch...I am still undecided whether to stay up till midnight on 9th (going into the 10th) and play for a couple of hours from launch but then I would not be able to sleep without dreaming the game or to go to bed early and get up about 5.30am and play a couple of hours from there????

Re: Talking Point: Will No Man's Sky Live Up to the Hype on PS4?

chris730920

I'm just playing the game for relaxation, the thought of exploring and investigating at my own pace at whatever catches my eye, whether it be a new creature, mountain, or planet and then claiming the in game credit to upgrade my suit and ship is what I wish to get out of it.... On top of that there's the challenge to learn alien languages and cultures....bliss............ !!!!CANT WAIT, BRING IT ON!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Re: No Man's Sky Is Finally, Finally Finished on PS4

chris730920

I can't wait!!!! been checking the news on this everyday since it was announced around 2 years ago... I was gutted that it was put back but was understanding about it (no verbal abuse or death threats made) I'm off work on the day of release and will be pre-ordering it on the PS Network so I can pre-load ready for 12pm/am on August 10th...space here I come

Re: Mad Max Rides at a Reduced Rate in All-New EU Sale

chris730920

mmmm, not sure why this had a mediocre score in review as I quite enjoyed it, in fact I preferred this over MGSV in which I purchased at the same time. I love RPG's I'm not a "True" completionist but I always pursue side quests and explore locations until I get all my skill levels up to max level (no pun intended). I generally avoid main storyline quests unless they are required to get a upgrade but I never found myself getting bored or deflated during my 4 weeks of game time with MAX......Just thought I'd put my opinion in as this is a great buy for RPG fans, game play graphics are great (even though character cut scenes weren't the best), I loved both the vehicle and foot combat also the skills tree was quite user friendly. Hope you enjoy!!!!

Re: So, Looks Like Sony's Already Working on the PS5

chris730920

It has to at least run 1080p at 60fps which unfortunately the PS4 admittedly struggles with at the mo, I'm a big PS4 fan and I am slightly saddened by this fact at the mo considering the PS4 has 16 times more Ram and a graphics card 8 times more powerful than the PS3 but it still struggles (sadly) with some titles when running at this resolution (much to the glee of some PC elitists), hopefully this will be resolved in time with system updates.

Re: Sony Really Wants You to Pre-Order PS4 Games on the PlayStation Store

chris730920

I like digital and it works great but the prices are way too high compared with Physical copies, sometimes an additional £20 more expensive. If Sony matched the digital prices to the same level as the physical retail price then I would buy a lot more from them.......come on Sony get a grip please. I do want to buy more from the PS store as it's very convenient and with the pre-order download before the release date titles are great as you won't have to wait to see if Mr Postman delivers your physical copy on day of release as it's there waiting on your Hard-drive.

Re: Apparently, People Buy PS4s Over Xbox Ones and Wii Us for the Resolution

chris730920

I've always been a Playstation fan since part-ex'ing my Sega Saturn to get a PS1, since then owning the PS2, PS3 and now PS4. I did have a Xbox 360 at the same time as my PS3 to play the games that were exclusive to the 360 but unfortunately it died on me. I do plan on getting the XBox one in time for the exclusives that are not available on the PS4 but my wallet is not big enough at the mo........I'm in it for the gaming and a non subscriber to the fan boy clubs in both camps..... they are both great machines to me

Re: The Order: 1886 Is Just 'Touching the Surface' of the PS4's Power

chris730920

I agree with Kage_88 the PS3 had a 256Mb graphics card with 2 x 256Mb (512Mb) of RAM, I had a PC with the same graphics card and same RAM once and it couldn't touch the PS3 for graphics and performance etc when playing games. I am aware that PC's need a lot of background services etc to run but this is an example of why people like consoles so much..... PC lovers this is not a pop at you guys I can see your side of things as well you can get much more powerful gaming PC's than the PS4/XBox one but pound for pound with the same specs as the consoles they would lose the fight when it comes to gaming.
