@KundaliniRising333 what side by side comparisons have you watched because the most recent one showed a massive upgrade. It’s also not just that but new areas to explore and new story scenes ,new animations as well as new contextual animations for each character, new collectibles and interactions,a a whole new soundtrack and the camera going from static to third person. All that and it’s been rebuilt it from the ground up in unreal engine 5
@Recover20 really underselling it lol. It’s expanded the story with new scenes, added new areas to explore and collectibles to collect as well as switching graphics engines, changing the camera to third person, completely new soundtrack, new animations as well as new contextual animations for each character on top of the massively upgraded graphics. Trying to sell it has a few areas/upgraded graphics is ridiculous.
@Monstermash40 they are supposedly making a sequel and people obviously wanted this or Sony wouldn’t have found it to be cost effective to do and if the game didn’t have popularity or a following they wouldn’t be doing a movie adaptation also. The game is still I believe Supermassives best selling title and it reviewed well and continues to grow in popularity with each passing year. Oh and the outplayed and regurgitated I was referring to in my comment was about how every time a remake or remaster is announced there’s someone with the oh so original comment of who is this for lol
@PuppetMaster don’t waste your time most of these people weren’t interested to begin with they just want to come in and take shots at Sony or just be negative and even when you show them the amount of things added or changed they either ignore it and bounce or try to move the goal posts to why this is still bad it’s exhausting lol
@DennisReynolds no black myth cost 60 which what would that matter anyway. Tlou remastered part 2 barely upgraded the graphics and if you didn’t upgrade sold for 50 with nowhere near the amount that’s been added to this. You can keep moving the goal post all you want to try to justify why Sony is “greedy” but in this example they just aren’t. Nintendo released the Mario all star collection which were straight ports with no added content for 60,Capcom released the five hour RE 3 remake for 60,hell TLOU part 1 remake sold for 70 and had upgraded graphics and slightly improved controls so this being 60 with the amount added and changed isn’t some outrageous proposition. Now if you don’t feel like all those changes are worth it cool you can still play the ps4 version or wait for a discount. Oh and once again this isn’t a remaster it’s a remake and do you think it was cheap for them to rebuild this from the ground up in a completely new graphics engine because it wasn’t
@DennisReynolds ok my guy just because one game did it doesn’t mean every game has to do it not to mention this game switches to a completely different graphics engine, added new story scenes and areas to explore, new animations, new contextual animations for each character, new collectibles and interactions,a new soundtrack and a completely new camera. Oh and I like atlas fallen a lot and the update is nice but the new area isn’t fairly sized nvm you do nothing but what amounts to a mini horde mode fight every visit, the opening isn’t new they just took out the talk to three people busy work and I don’t remember anything about improved graphics at all and don’t believe that to be true
You can easily tell who came to sh**post and bounce which could have been solved if the article didn’t frame this story negatively and reported on all the differences
@Intr1n5ic yeah you never see this in the movie collecting scene which I’m part of. Like there’s movies I’ve bought on the same format two or three times just because of a better transfer or new packaging or special features. I don’t feel entitled because I’ve bought it once to get every subsequent release for free or a discount I either buy it at release or wait for a discount
@Intr1n5ic no you are absolutely correct it’s been completely Remade from the ground up in a completely new graphics engine along with having new areas to explore ,new story and scenes, new animations, new contextual animations for every character,a completely new soundtrack, new collectibles and a completely new camera. People who weren’t interested so have no knowledge on the game just wanted to come in and take shots at Sony because the internet is filled with people who are miserable and want to spread that misery and negativity and it’s so annoying
@Monstermash40 this has to be the most outplayed and annoying thing people on the internet regurgitate. Obviously there’s an audience if Sony deemed this worthy to do and are now making a movie out of it
@Ralizah Jesus once again do some research they’ve changed plenty and this is happening because like you said it’s coming to PC plus there’s a movie adaptation getting made. Plus the game has done nothing but grown in popularity and reputation since it’s release so I can see it doing well especially coming out during Halloween season
@Scottyy way too much work went into this for there to be an upgrade path and TLOU part one remake absolutely tightened up the gameplay but there was no way they could have implemented part 2 gameplay into 1 without completely redesigning the levels
Why does it being a one to one remake keep getting regurgitated even from a gaming site when that’s not true. The remake has new collectibles, new locations to explore, expanded story with new scenes ,a completely new graphics engine,a completely new soundtrack, new animations, completely new camera and even new character contextual animations. So I ask how is that even remotely like TLOU part 1 remake or a one to one remake smh.
So it’s like any other mp game that people no life where a patch comes out and makes a minuscule change to a favored weapon so the man children whine and cry like a baby who’s had it’s pacifier taken away. I will say after the why Arrowhead handled the whole psn login “fiasco” I love that they now are stuck in this position where they capitulated to the mob because they tried like some parents do with their kids and tried to be friends with their community when the community doesn’t give a ***** about them
I hate scalpers with a passion! They are some of the scummiest POS in the world. I say all that even though I got my preorder in at Best Buy but it still irks me because these controllers could have been gifts to kids from their parents or other uses but instead people who had no labor involved in these getting made take advantage of people to line their pockets for doing nothing but being scumbags
Jesus I’m so tired of being a part of gaming because of ***** like this. It’s just constant negativity or whining from what are supposed to be adults about the dumbest crap it’s just so tiring and old. Ok they nerfed a weapon big deal they’ll go back and fix it but there’s no need to review bomb the freaking game over something this minor. I just would love to see the day when gaming actually grows up and matured before I die but sadly I don’t think that’s going to happen
@LikelySatan plenty of games that don’t do anything unique take off look at The First Descendant which is garbage but somehow has blown up same with Xdefiant which has a respectable player base
@Fishmasterflex96 this game is going to do well because it’s a known ip and a sequel to a cult classic so I don’t see how it’s even comparable to Concord not to mention this game is going to be bought because of the single player barely anyone will touch the mp.
I mean if you only look at it in the short term maybe but no I don’t think they regret it. I also bet their actually happy Parsons is an idiot so they can bring Bungie even more under PS Studios. All that said people need to remember Bungie just had a huge hit with the Final Shape and Destiny 2 still pulls in very respectable numbers for a live service title and I would bet anything Marathon is going to be a huge hit.
@AgentMantis well I don’t hang out on message boards all day so when I came in and saw unwarranted and ridiculous hate for a update on sales of a good game I replied to those comments while being here. I would like to know if I missed some hard and fast rule about there being a limit of how many replies you can make to users while scrolling through comments that I missed somewhere any help would be appreciated?Oh and to answer your question home life is great even though that’s a weird train of thought to take in regards to replies on a message board but hey you do you. To be serious for a moment the constant negativity, cynicism and hate of the internet on any little subject is just getting tiring so I try to push back on it
Loved it and would love to see a sequel but don’t release ***** dlc like that ever again. It was the first time I was let down by their borderlands dlc ever and regretted getting the edition with the season pass
@SuntannedDuck2 thanks and yeah the controls took a little to get used to but now their second nature and it’s just mind blowing having this huge space game in vr I love it
It got me to rebuy it while it was on sale to use with my psvr 2 and it’s amazing in the headset. I’m playing on relaxed and loving it and I’m only a few hours in
People wonder way gaming is in a dire place right now when gaming nerds make big deals out of little details that 99 percent of the audience doesn’t notice or care about. Never once in my two playthroughs across about 180 hours did I ever notice the manhole covers were wrong and even if I did who gives a s**t

@LikelySatan no it’s not the exact same game with just better graphics there’s plenty new which I’ve detailed in a comment already

@LikelySatan which is sad because concord plays great while rivals gameplay is mediocre as hell

@LikelySatan yes yes they took inspiration from GOTG lol

@PuppetMaster what does that have to do with sales?
