Looks incredible! Weird name choice tho...are they basically rebooting the series? Ky looks younger than ever! Guess I won’t be playing as Sin anymore (being that he’s Ky’s son and all).

I wish they’d tell us who’s all in the season pass upfront! So far so good, tho. Guest characters are gross, IMHO, but Snake would be a lot better than another Negan.

Harada’s reveal method was also solid gold, lol.

@Tasuki SFV totally has a story mode! And I’m not talkin’ about the individual character stories! A fully animated, hours long story with fights interspersed! Check it out!

Dang, no Viper! But maybe there’s something more that hasn’t been leaked? Regardless, I love me some cop characters, so hopefully Lucia delivers the goods!

EDIT: just saw the video elsewhere, and it looks like that’s all there is to this announcement! However, Lucia looks especially good to me, kinda fights like Blair from Fighting EX Layer with a ton of sweet kicks. Definitely picking up her set, and maybe all of the characters if the price is right!

Weird, this game is so old at this point! 2013...that’s last gen! All I know is that its a super barebones port of a mobile game that runs like total crap on my $2K PC, so it pretty much has nothing going for it except the license. Pay more than $5 for it and you’ll regret it!

EDIT: Ooohhhh...this is a SEQUEL to the game I mentioned. Oops. Well that changed everything! You guys are using a graphic from the old game, FYI.

The issue with waiting for a discount with fighting games that aren’t established franchises is that the online community typically goes stone-cold dead within a handful of months after launch, so unless you’ve got buds who wanna go head-to-head all the time, you’re potentially not getting much outta that discounted price!

Personally I’ve been looking forward to this all year, but it’s still a reeeally hard sell from what I’ve played and heard. I also think it looks horrible...I wish they would add some life to the arenas, for one thing. Wisps of dust and other particle effects, stuff blowing in the wind or bystanders/audience. For some reason, the dead backgrounds really bug me, lol.

I’m just stuper excited to return to the modern setting! Other than that, nothing I’ve heard so far about the gameplay really excites me. Killstreaks as opposed to pointstreaks or scorestreaks seems like a step backwards, actually.

I’ve gotten every COD every year so, this one’s already pre-ordered. Given that there’s always people playing months after launch, the gameplay is reliable, and the campaigns are fun, it’s a steady series to fall back on. Honestly, I wish other games series would churn out games as fast as COD, with the same high level of polish.

@sajoey If absolute top quality is the priority...then you gotta get the PC version!

I only hope they avoid the strawman trope of religions being a front for some kinda evil scheme by a crazed leader or some ploy to keep the masses in check.

Tekken 7 and SFV need new seasons of content ASAP!!! Fan support is clearly there, so the devs need to step it up.

The gun being cropped is weird...it seems like they coulda just scaled the image down a tiny bit and had it fit in-fame, lol.

This basically confirms the leaks...i think it’ll be Ash Williams, and then either the Terminator or Joker. Idk, honestly I’m not interested in guest characters. Also, booo...where’s Fujin! He was in the leaks too!

Personally I think this roster is really dumb. For one thing...way too many guest characters. With the the updated game engine, I love seeing the realistic take on classic characters, so it’ll be super disappointing to me if they decide to pull half of the DLC roster from outside the MK universe. Booooo!!!!

Gonna get this game on PC, hopefully someone will mod in some MK9-ish outfits, lol.

Looks like more of the same...I’m still kinda Borderlands’ed out from the last three! Unless they’ve added some truly new gameplay features, I’m probably gonna wait for a sale.

@shonenjump86 Same here! Still trying to find a main in DOA6 (Honoka so far), and trying to get good with Master Raven in Tekken 7.

For SC6, I’ve actually been waiting for Cassandra to release...that’s more or less a confirmed leak, I think? Also, all of my friends who like SoulCalibur in the past never bought the game so that’s one less reason too...

@Wazeddie22 NetherRealm Studios is THE BEST when it comes to single-player cinematic stories in fighting games. Really fun 6-8 hour experiences.

Also, if you’re new to fighting games, check out a video series called “Think, don’t mash!” on YouTube (it talks about Street Fighter but it applies to all 2D fighters). Makes fighting games more simple to understand how you’re supposed to play, and thus really get the most fun out of them.

Another console is the last thing I need, especially one that will likely have no proven game franchises. As for streaming, I’ve had spotty results with PS Now, PS4 remote play, and Steam In-Home Streaming so I’m very, VERY uninterested in streaming.

DOA6 is gonna get a refresher when the F2P version hits. Also, yeah...I wouldn’t expect fighting games to sell very well these days. Definitely my new favorite genre, and DOA6 is currently my favorite game (in part to my 0.5 W/L ratio online, which is miles above my usual 0.25 in other games).

@Agramonte Yikes! Guess I won’t update my drivers just yet. Actually, I’ll just put off playing my copy of Anthem for a while altogether and finish Metro Exodus first...

The “event” going on right now is a x10 multiplyer, I’m pretty sure (not x100). And yeah...it’s definitely a slog. There should at least be a couple costumes for each character you can objectively get like in the old games (i.e. beat a certain mode).

@Jaz007 If the pricing for the previous game is any indication, the costumes will be relatively expensive, but then again...it’s refreshing to see a game where you can buy the skin you want instead of RNGing for it. Like I’d definitely like to drop $5 to get a skin of my choice in Overwatch instead of opening dozens of lootboxes to no avail.

@Gamer83 Yeah, not being able to buy stuff individually yet sucks, same with not being able to upgrade to the deluxe edition ($20 for 25 costumes, most which are good IMHO). Considering they’re supposedly releasing a F2P version soon, I’m guessing it won’t be long.

@Jaz007 I saw someone break down the total of 63 costumes at $1.99 each and 2 DLC characters at $3.99 each (the low-end of the pricing spectrum) to get a total of $133.35 individually, so you actually get all that stuff for 30% off with the $93 price tag.

Granted, I personally would never buy a giant pack of ALL the costumes, since some of them would likely be palette swaps or dumb looking, and for characters I never use, but still...it’s not as crazy as people make it out to be, especially considering how much you can dump into any game with lootboxes and have nothing to show but a handful of skins you didn’t want and a truckload of spray decals and profile backgrounds.

Dead or Alive 6 is likely gonna be my main game this weekend! Getting the rust out with the training and story modes before I hop online.

Also trying the Division 2 Beta...played the original a looong time ago and wasn’t really into it, but mostly wanted to compare it to Anthem, which I’m surprisingly loving so far (playing on solo, btw, with the hard difficulty so I actually have to think about what I’m doing instead of flying out in the open and spamming abilities).

Honestly, it’s a better deal than loot boxes. Yeah, it’s a total rip-off, but spend $100 on Overwatch or something and I bet you STILL wouldn’t get the same amount of content.

Pretty accurate review, and not a surprise at all if you’ve been following the game’s progress, IMHO. I mostly wish there were more new characters to make up for the same-y game mechanics.

@Gamer83 I read somewhere that they were gonna release a free to play version “soon” after launch, akin to DOA5LR.

SIMPLE FIX: Keep weights nearby and workout while it loads. Sure, that’s not at all the best way to work out, but let’s face it...I bet you don’t have time to work out otherwise! Pushups and sit-ups work great too.

“What if” scenarios? Does that mean they’re non-canon? I really hope not, but it sure sounds like it...

@RedMageLanakyn whaaaat...the classic skins aren’t available until MARCH? I’m halfway through my first PLAYTHRU and I thought I was gonna stumble upon those at some point. Dammit!

@SilentKills I’d definitely take a smaller side-game starring a younger Shepard or that explores characters from the original trilogy! Definitely better than nothing. I’d even take a mobile game over the whole series getting permanently axed!

I love Mass Effect! I hope they make a sequel to Andromeda and don’t just throw the baby out with the bath water (like Call of Duty has done every time a game flops...Ghosts 1, Advanced Warfare 1, Infinite Warfare 1). Andromeda has an amazing premise IMHO (colony ships that set off during the original trilogy) but failed to tell a compelling story, so there’s still potential in that.

EA pulls the strings tho, so who knows...

@SilentKills no more Shepard! I think a prequel would restrict the game too much. I mean, between the First Contact War and the events of the first game, not a whole lot happens to humans, and definitely nothing that interesting for Shepard.

After playing the network test, this game instantly became the ONLY game I wanted to play (sorry BLOPS4, Tekken 7, SFV, etc.). Only bad thing is...I’m on vacation until Saturday! Otherwise, it’s pre-loaded and waiting for me at home. So stoked!!!

@Undead22 it’s all good. I agree, there’s definitely a lot of whining about this game, most notably the appearance of the female characters (Claire’s face and outfit, Ada not wearing red).

Whoa dude...I’m not whining, I was just saying I wouldn’t use them for my first play through. Resident Evil always has goofy alternate costumes....excuse me for not thinking some of them are inappropriate for a serious playthrough. God damn, take your anger out on someone else lol.

@Undead22 I mean like why would Claire wear those in the context of the story? They’d be fun for subsequent playthroughs tho.

With the Elza Walker costume...I'm hoping but not expecting that other elements from Resident Evil 1.5 make their way into this game (or otherwise some DLC missions). I'm talkin' fighting some zombie apes in the RPD parking lot!

Whew, good thing I pre-ordered this version already, since the digital versions aren't refundable. Definitely gonna play through with the Elza Walker costume at first (story-wise, that's how she rode into town!) and then switch to the default one partway through the game (the others are too goofy for me to keep immersed in the story). With Leon, I'll change costumes as the story permits (like when he gets outta the sewers...you gotta change after being in there!).

Do the limbs of enemies ever get chopped off by your attacks, or do they always turn into dust? I'm playing the Ninja Gaiden series on my Vita and PS Now at the moment and being able to slice enemies apart has set my expectations for these kinda samurai games.
