@LoopBak127 exactly this , if the character models are touched up , improved game play , lighting , environments are improved. then sure why not. it needs more then just environment improvements.
i'm curious to see how much of this is just faked outrage when sony finally does announces the games their first party studios ( single player games) and then release those games , to see how many people will actually buy them. not to mention that but how many people buy them at full price vs how many people say , " i'll wait for it to go on sale".
@IOI well the best part of the pro , is that its only really for people that want that upgrade. you can still play the same ps5 games they will , so its not like any one is missing out with ps5 pro only games. it pretty much is the same on pc , either you can get the best performance buying a 4090 gpu , or you can buy a cheaper 3040 or 3060 or older 2000's series gpu , and you can play the same games with less performance.
@LordAinsley heres the problem Resistance and Killzone as much as i love them never sold, in fact one games in the horizon series the first one , outsold both series overall. i really doubt too many resources are being dragged into these remasters , they have plenty of resources and teams working on new games. in fact sony bend said they've been given their highest budget ever for their new game. so it sounds like they are actually putting more resources into their games. as for the remasters they are more then likely using people that aren't currently working on anything. so its either they get laid off or they are given games to work on. i'd rather not see more lay offs and i don't mind seeing improved versions of games i already enjoy.
@TomasVrboda i've been saying this all along. there have been many delays behind the scenes since the games haven't even been announced you can't really announce delays for games that aren't even official yet. sucker punch took about 6 years between infamous and ghosts , and ghosts turned out pretty well. would people rather have quicker releases with less quality?
@get2sammyb i think thats the best part of all of this , is they give people the choice with out excluding any one. if you own a base ps5 , and are fine with that , you'll still be able to play all the same games. if you want that extra boost in power , you can upgrade or buy a 2nd ps5. for me i'd just move my normal ps5 to my room and the pro would take its place.
@NEStalgia you have to keep in mind the more you spend on the initial the less you'll need to upgrade. the less you spend for a budget pc , it won't last as long. which in the end if some one is really on a budget and can't spend as much on a pc, you might as well buy a console honestly.
@nookie_egg its one of many reasons why its taking so long , but the ps4 era wasn't any different either. it took sucker punch 6 years between infamous second son and ghosts. i mean we all want these games to come out soon , and they've been working on them for a few years already so hopefully we'll hear about them soon.
@Northlander if you have those games sitting around collecting dust , either you just want them around for memories or you have no real plans to ever really play them again and should have sold them years ago when they were actually worth money.
@MrMeeeseeeks idk its almost like these consoles were released during a pandemic or something. im pretty sure by the time ps6 comes out they'll have alot more then 5 games.
@get2sammyb i can say people clearly troll the polls here , even on good months for ps+ people vote the worst possible choice. i can't take any of those seriously
@GamingFan4Lyf honestly if they came out with a 499 switch 2 and it was a pretty big upgrade over the switch i'd be all for it. they could keep the normal switch for people that don't need the bells and whistles , i doubt those people would care about fps in a nintendo game , but some people do.
@ZeroSum it doesn't. it sounds like they are trying something, but idk how far its going to go , and if its going to live up to what people think it should be. i love the ps3 , so i'll always keep my console around so i can play those games , but if they went with amd instead of the fancy emotion chip , it would have been way easier to develop for , and bc wouldn't be an issue.
i said this on another article i'll say it again, hope people keep this same energy when sony does announce all their first party games that they've been working on. or are they all of the sudden going to forget most of this and act like they loved sony the whole time? i'm sure in a perfect world if there was no shutdowns and pandemic , we would have gotten games developed faster. but that didn't happen , and for them to release a console during a pandemic i feel like they've done a pretty good job navigating around it.
@evasdf you'll have to keep playing your ps3 then, because its not happening any time soon if ever. also sony's been pretty up front about the ps4/ps5 not being able to play ps3 games.
@roe i mean i don't think it was on their minds back then , they just wanted to create a powerful console , that's the biggest issue is they kept creating these crazy cpu's that made backwards compatibility especially for the ps3 extremely difficult. if they start the ps3 with an amd chip instead this wouldn't have even been an issue.
@nomither6 i mean if you really look at it , it kind of is. do you really count the pandemic years even though the console was released? game development was pretty minimal during the shut downs so we lost all that time for at least 1 1/2 to 2 years , people seem to forget the ps5 released during all of that.
if the ps6 went with intel could it have been better? sure , but amd has been pretty good in the ps4 and ps5 , why mess that up now , and make it harder for ps4/ps5 games to work on the ps6? also having an intel chip in ps6 would drastically raise the price up even more.
@PuppetMaster i'm not really too worried tbh, it takes me forever to play a game these days being pretty busy with life. i still have a bunch of games i played 50% i still have to finish up anyways. i'm more worried about games coming out all with in a short amount of time and not having time to play them more then having games to play.
@Joabra01Swe how many people already have a tv though , its not an extra expense if you already have a tv , it would be like including the cost of electricity in using your pc or console. however unless you already have a monitor then yeah it is an extra cost if you are buying a new pc.
@AverageGamer you have to keep in mind i said , "my idea of an ideal pc". if i was going to do a new pc i would want something that is much better then the one i currently have.
@NEStalgia 3k upwards to 4k , but i parted out a pc recently of stuff in what i would considered an ideal pc , and it came out to more like almost 5.5k , with a i9 14900, 4900 gpu , 64gb ddr5 6k ram, dual 4tb nvme 2.0 hard drives , i don't have funny ideas about prices , i built a 2k pc when the 3060's came out and it was a little over 2k , i mean it still holds up for the most part.
its not like pc gaming is new though , i mean pc's have been around forever. most people are into pc games or console games. how many people are going to give up console gaming for a 3-4k pc?
@Spedfrom people just need to wait for announcements instead of listening to every rumor thats put on the internet that gets them all upset , its only a rumor after all.
@PuppetMaster exactly this 100% sony announces games too early ( wolverine and many games in the past) that are years away people complain why announce it when theres no release date or time frame? they don't announce games they taking time from development to make slices of game play to show off or a trailer , and people complain where are the games ? people some how easily forget we already lost at least 2 years in game development to the pandemic , and for sony to release a console during shutdowns caused by the pandemic i think they've been doing pretty good so far. i'm curious if people will hold the same energy when sony finally does announce a bunch of first party single player games they've been working on , or are they going to act like they've loved sony the entire time?
@KilloWertz i never said any of you were wrong , where did i say that? but its weird you guys keep repeating the same thing, " burying your heads in sand". because other people don't share the same opinion as you guys we must be ignorant to it? i'm good , i don't really see any point to keep this going when its just going to be us repeating everything again. have a good day.
@NEStalgia see the issue, you can do all of that , and also respect other people that they can do what they want to do with their money. thats the beauty in life , not every one thinks like you and that's okay. i have no issue with you doing your own thing , which is my point to worry more about yourself and less about others.
@NEStalgia i don't really have much to add other then you will never accept that people have free will to do what they want with their money. why should you think people will respect what you think , when you clearly don't respect what others think or do with their hard earned money? sorry if its not allowed to say that , but i had to.
@KilloWertz i mean the lower price didn't help things when they were out of stock for months at a time. and then people ended up paying double on ebay just so they could have one for the holidays.

@NEStalgia well like i said, if people don't think its worth it , then that's fine , they can still play ps5 games on the normal ps5. they aren't going to make ps5 pro only games , so no one is missing out on anything. in the end if some one thinks its worth it, then they'll buy it. but to me its silly for some one to get upset at another person because they are going to buy the ps5 pro.

@Tchunga i'm going to try my best to word this respectfully, but the pro system is obviously going to cost more then the base system. and honestly i don't really care about the dislike thing , since youtube doesn't even natively have a dislike button so its not even 100%. i respect this isn't for every one , and people can dislike it all they want. i just find it weird its turning into people ( not saying you but in general) attacking others because they want to buy it. and i fully expect this isn't going to be easy because a lot of people are going to pre-order one and i think its going to be close to selling out. i mean the attachable disc drives are sold out in a lot of places already. whats even more crazy is how people were actually willing to pay 800 or even more towards 1,000 for the ps5 on ebay when it first came out.
@Tchunga not really the same thing but this is far from the ps3 era , and i loved the ps3. but the biggest issue is the ps3 outside of first part dev's was very difficult to develop for. vs the ps5 pro was made to make game development easier for developers.
@waynesworld well there is a rumored games show case for September , so i guess we will see if they finally announce some first party games now that the pro is finally revealed. i don't think any one was expecting game announcements during the pro announcement since it was only 10 mins long.
@IOI i respectfully disagree , all of what you listed above is always 100% optional. we all know how expensive video games are and can be as a hobby. they still offer the base ps5 for those who don't want to spend the extra money , that will play the same games as the ps5 pro. i wouldn't exactly say its abusive , for those reasons.
@Lembit i think they were expecting it to be the same price as the normal ps5 which is crazy for them to think. it was always going to be more expensive.
@Vault_Mcfly do you know how long people have said that about pc? i love my gaming pc , but pc will never replace console. this thing is easily going to sell way more then people think.
@NEStalgia as some one who has had a 1k pc in the past , and a over 2k pc , theres a giant difference. any one that will buy something thats only 1k, will eventually regret it or ends up dumping way more money in upgrades. people keep saying this thing isn't going to sell , i mean this thing is going to sell out. i really want one day one , and im still going to try to get it. maybe you can get a decent pc for 1.3k - 1.5k , and that's still not super future proof.
@KilloWertz i mean realistically none of this needs to exist its a luxury hobby people can live with out with that logic. its another option for people to enjoy video games.
@Korgon there are no game announcements its not a show case or a state of play. idk why some people are expecting games. but a game show case announcement would be good.

Re: PS5 Pro Showcase Set for Tomorrow, Hosted by Mark Cerny
@Korgon there are no game announcements its not a show case or a state of play. idk why some people are expecting games. but a game show case announcement would be good.

@BoingX2 if you are that serious about streaming you would be using a pc with a capture card
