I will definitely have to try and see if a higher FPS will help alleviating some of the vertigo and nausea I get playing DOOM. It's weird, no other FPS makes me queasy.
Well this turned our to be a butched promotional event. I went through all the hoops, only to find out that they give you ONE redeemable code. So now I have the house sigils (which I do not care for) and I'm unable to download the PS4 Theme (which is what I really wanted). Bravo to the marketing team...
@Ironwright Fair enough, and I think you're right. Anthem's demo played like an afterthought: a messy private beta, with barely any context, a very convoluted menu and bunch of bugs. TD2 demo/beta was well planned and, while TD1 was a launch disaster, the game evolved quite nicely and it shows that the team behind TD2 cares about players' experience.
Not knowing too much about this game, I've purchased The Division a few weeks ago as it was on special (like $30 including all expansions). The game is good looking, combat is quite responsive but frustration built up as it felt like all the mobs were bullet sponges. So I did a quick search which basically told me that it's far better now than what it used to be...!? I cannot even begin to understand how bad it must have been at launch. I understand this is to be considered a RPG, but there are some darn limits to how many bullet I can snipe someone in the head before I lose my suspension of disbelief. I really hope The Division 2 does better, and reading about the title, it should. But like many, I think I'm going to hold for proper reviews before I pull the trigger on this one.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I got the season pass and after spending 10 hours with the new "content", I've now moved on. Forsaken was great, the forges... no so much. Bungie tried something new with this, which is commendable. But drip-feeding content like an I.V. is unfortunately not going to keep the patient alive for long. Reddit's sub has never been so active, but it's no longer people commenting on content, but rather on issues that have yet to be fixed since launch (bug, exploits and PvP matchmaking for instance). Fair to say that we got a good bang for the buck, but I'd be surprised to see Destiny 3 be the salvation of this declining franchise.
@Salt_AU And how is that different than, let’s say, Zelda games? I’m not against tough games, but like many, i do not enjoy constant punishment. When I have to go online to find ways to cheese fight a boss, then it’s safe to say that this game, as great as it is for others, is not for me.
@KirbyTheVampire I'm surprised you didn't get trolled by the community to tell you to "git gud" yet. It's a shame, I think I could have liked both Bloodborne and the DS series, but I kinda have a life and getting good at gaming isn't exactly at the top of my priorities. I bought both games and returned them after a few weeks. Thankfully, there are other games out there that respect the "casual" players like us.
@Rudy_Manchego Miffed is too small of a word to express my discontent. I've already bough Skyrim CE twice (PS3 + PS4), isn't this enough for Bethesda to consider me a good client?
Hate myself for loving this game. Got out about a year ago. Other games are just as fun, without the drama involved. For D2, no matchmaking for raids will be a deal breaker for many.
I love roguelikes, but some are just unfair. How brutal is this one? How does it compare, if at all, with Don't Starve? I liked that game, but the visuals did not work for me. Cheers!
"But in the end Im glad sony made pro because microsoft is making scorpio, so there will be adequate competition on both sides."
I'm a true Sony fanboy but I'm starting to have doubts. I have a 4k UHD TV so yes I care about my console pushing everything it can... including a darn UHD disk player.
@Neolit Alienation plays very smoothly, even with the bumper triggers to shoot. I can't say that I'm as engaged in Alienation as I was in Dead Nation. Don't get me wrong, the new game is eons forward in terms of gameplay and graphics, but it's definitely missing the "oh shi..." moments that were present in the slower paced Dead Nation. Nevertheless, Alienation is still a good game.

Re: PS5 Shooter Outriders Gets New Gameplay, Shows Endgame Expeditions in Action
@thefourfoldroot I think that's the problem: the game doesn't seem to know what it wants to be... Anthem ended up like that.
Re: Guide: New PS4 Games Releasing in September 2019
@sanderson72 Wait... what?? No local coop? I was about to pull the trigger on this one just for the local coop!!
Re: Destiny 2 Adds Battle Pass-Like Progression System with Shadowkeep
Fooled me twice, not gonna happen again.

@DrKameren Thanks!
Re: ANTHEM's Development Plagued By Bad Management, Technical Issues, and Unacceptable Working Conditions, Says New Report
Is there a TL;DR of Kotaku's post? I appreciate Schreier's efforts, but there's no way I'm reading a novel just to know how the Titanic sank.

Re: Micro-Strategy Game Kingdom Two Crowns Will Reign on PS4 Next Month
@tomassi the one I played on mobile phone was anything but boring. it's a pretty tough game tbh
Re: Path of Exile Arriving on PS4 This December
Please tell me this has couch coop?
Re: Midgard Mishaps Is an Official God of War PS4 Glitch Video, and It's Great
That was awesome, thank you for the good laughs!
Re: Free-to-Play Action RPG Path of Exile Could Be Coming to PS4
They better include couch coop, or many of us will simply skip this title.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think of Destiny 2: Forsaken?
Hunting the Barons was probably the most fun I've had with Destiny 2 so far.
Re: Review: Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition (PS4)
@LaNooch1978 Careful, this is a turn based game, not action.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a Full 48 Minute Gameplay Demo
Holy mother of God, my wife is not going to see me for months!
Re: Divinity: Original Sin II Gameplay Trailer Tells You Everything You Need to Know
Hope the controls aren't going to be as clunky as the first one.

Eff Yeaaaah!!! Wifey gave me the first one with a birthday card that said "I understand, see you in a couple of months, love"

@Rick_Deckard The Ravens took the life out of me, I had to use YouTube guides
Re: God of War New Game + Mode Arrives Later This Month on PS4 via Free Update
I've platinum'd the game yesterday, my very first. I just couldn't get enough of this game. Glad they're giving us a reason to come back!
Re: Review: Mugsters (PS4)
Overcooked was absolutely hated in my household, too frustrating. The Escapists 2 was far too punishing to be enjoyable. Mugsters better be fun.
Re: Guide: Best PS4 FPS Games
Titanfall 2: switching back and forth between time, this was a game changer, so much so that I would have loved to have more of it.
Doom: my favorite by far. A remake done just right!
Re: Destiny 2 Is Free to Download and Play This Weekend on PS4
@3MonthBeef Destiny 2 has been in trouble for quite a while, free weekend is like one of the last nail in the coffin.
Re: Review: Moonlighter (PS4)
Would have loved a couch coop
Re: Battlefield V Leaves Season Pass and Pay-to-Win in the Trenches
oh hey, yet another WW2 FPS game... sigh
Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Co-Op Games
@NathanUC Same here. Reviews were great so I bought the game to play with wifey and friends. We all hated it and no fun was gained.

Re: Feature: We Talk Peaceful and Promising Open World PS4 Adventure Yonder
Exactly the kind of games that my wife enjoys. If she hears of this game, I'll never have access to my PS4 again -.-
Re: A Bunch of B-Tier PS4 Titles Go on Sale in US
@smythelove Same here. Wifey and I really wanted to like this game, but "tedious" is the word I would use to describe the game.
Re: Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Shows Its Hand on PS4 This Weekend
@get2sammyb "We've no idea why it's taking The Witcher developer CD Projekt RED so long"
Just a thought: maybe it's because they want to release a quality product? CD Projekt RED doesn't make shovelware.
