Elden Ring was the only game that was on the same level and even that game had tons of issues just like GOW.

Am I the only one that thinks there was nothing revolutionary about both GOW and Elden Ring unlike how some people describe them? Yes, they both are great games but super similar to their previous games (GOW 2018 and Dark Souls Series).

Also I don't know how some people call Elden Ring a perfect game when it has so many issues in different parts like, terrible side quests, super repetitive caves/catacombs, low quality boss fights compared to previous games (copy pasted boss fights, many gank bosses, most bosses have the same delayed attacks, most bosses have endless combos), terrible weapon damage balance (specially during the launch), mediocre OST compared to previous games, etc.

Anyway, congrats to From Software, imo ER was definitely the best game that came out this year

@PegasusActual93 Check howlongtobeat website, you can see that the average time is 20 hours, I played on hard so it was around 25h for me. Also it is not fair to compare it to gow3 since the new ones are basically rpg games and old ones are hack and slash.

This actually made me less excited,,,the first game was an intro to the norse mythology and was around 25 hours (we barely saw a new God),,, and this one is only 20 hours?!?! Either they are going to rush everything and skip showing many Gods or creatures or they will rely heavily on side quests which is not good for a gow game imo

@truerbluer I couldn’t agree more. Also ps games don’t even sell that well on PC. God of War which is the biggest ps ip sold around 1 million! They are just ruining their platform to make some short term profit

They made a game for all places around the world, but didn't make one for Persia which is basically the place that assassins group got created.

@nessisonett The problem is that you are only considering one stadium but there are hundreds of stadiums that are always full for men's football. Yeah, 70k is a lot but how many times something like this happens and for how many stadiums across the world? I don't have the answer but I am pretty sure the answer is super small compared to men's football.

It is not fair that I am buying the Collector's Edition but people that buy the lunch edition get some items that I don't. This doesn't make any sense at all.

@starbuck2212 We all play games that were made in the US, so what is the difference? One makes the life of its people hard, the other makes the life of people from other countries hard. Also, both countries trade billions of dollars yearly so if you support one, you will support the other one anyway.

The game looks great, but my only complaint is that the animations of the character look too similar to dark souls 3 (almost a copy-paste).

The previous game was around 25 hours and it felt super repetitive after 15 hours. This game is going to be 40 hours which kinda scares me because if they repeat the previous mistakes, the game will be boring as hell. We need at least 4 weapons, many different enemies and boss battles, harder and better puzzles, better customizations of armor and weapons, the ability to jump, a level design without fake doors or fake paths, and more meaningful side quests. I don't care if they don't make a trilogy, but if they want to make a long game, they need to improve and fix many things .

So probably we will never get a next-gen God of war game and that makes me sad😢

I don't think it is mind-blowing or anything. It looks too similar to the previous game, and it is not violent (almost no blood), just like the previous one.

@Gamer_Girl_ Most people that buy a ps4 will buy a GTA too. It is like the default game that most people buy with their new console.

@jcboyer515 Your statement for console or pc exclusives makes sense because they don't benefit the game or the gamer at all. However, next-gen exclusives make the structure and quality of the game, better, so it makes sense to be happy about that.

@Netret0120 Some people like me play +100 hours of Fifa each year, so $60 is not that much. Also, the gameplay completely changes each year so the roster is not the only change.

Maybe because pushsqure made two reports before this one that had many problems? The Change.org petition report was completely wrong (it was made by an Xbox fanboy) and guess what? the post is still there and they never updated it after two days!! The indie stuff report was true but some indie devs on twitter had the complete opposite opinion about the situation but pushsqure never mentioned them and only talked about the devs that were mad at Sony...Yeah, Sony charging for the PS5 upgrade is not justified at all, but don't put the blame only on fanboys when pushsqure has done many wrong stuff too.

You forgot to give me the 5 examples!? I like how you don't mention many the other websites that don't use a word to describe the game. How do you know that a 7 for those websites is a good score? Metacritic uses the score from those websites too and there are so many of them, so you can't just say 70 is good because IGN and Game Spot say 7 is good.
Btw 70 on Metacritic is yellow which means mediocre.

7 is good!!? So I think most games are good for you because literally, every popular game gets 7 or more every time. Regarding the review outlet, Metascore is very different from single scores from gaming websites. For example an 8 on IGN is not the same as an 80 on Metacritic. Usually below 75 is terrible, 75 - 80 is mediocre, 80 - 85 is good, 85 - 90 is great and above 90 is a masterpiece. If I am wrong show me five recent games that have Metascore of below 75, but they are good too.

The meta score is 80, how is that a good to great range? It seems that the game is ok.

So we will have only one true next gen game (Rift Apart) in the first three years of PS5. NOICE!

I like how people in the comment section are justifying crunch because it is normal in most industries. Working more than 8 hours a day is not healthy either you like crunch or not.

My reaction was never like "Oh no, PS4 players are going to play GOW too". The only reason that I am sad is that I have to wait till around 2029 to play a true next-gen GOW game. It would be much better if they delayed the game till 2023 so that more people buy PS5 and we all experience the true next gen GOW earlier. One of my biggest problems with GOW4 was the level design (too many fake paths or doors) and the new one will most definitely have the same problem.

By your logic, we should demand Sony to make all these new games for PS3 too because there are some people that don't have money to buy a ps4/ps5 so they will miss these games.

@Intr1n5ic If Ratchet and Clank was cross-gen, I think people would be ok with it and even for Horizon, most people were ok with it. However, GOW is on another level and it is one of the biggest PS game series. Jim Ryan could easily say that even next projects from, for example, Santa Monica and Naughty Dog will be cross-gen and end all these discussions. But he didn't do it because he knows that this kills the hype for PS5.

@Intr1n5ic Did Jim Ryan say that their biggest AAA games for the next few years will be on PS4 too? If yes, then you are right. But if no, he was not clear enough because it is not common at all for PS to have cross gen AAA games after two or three years of new generation specially a game like GOW.

I guess we need to wait till around 2027 to get an actual next gen GOW game which is really disappointing.

Many people said that Ellie looked very different in the second trailer of TLOU2 and some people said "no, she looks fine don't complain for stupid reasons". But guess what? Naughty dog changed her face in the next trailer and the main game because she actually looked different in the second trailer. The same thing applies here imo. The new alloy doesn't look ugly at all but she looks very different and I think her face needs some changes. (Obviously, the right photo is ridiculous)

I am so happy that finally, someone is standing against Fifa and UEFA. For the people that say the league is boring or not fair, they will definitely change the rules if they see that people are not watching their matches, so don't worry about that. Also, please don't talk about greed because the most greedy organization in Europe is Fifa, not these teams.

I always hated the design of the old version but at least it was functional, unlike the new version.

I liked the trilogy much more than gow4 for two reasons: Gow4 is not brutal at all (most enemies don't even have blood) and the enemy variation is awful (most enemies are just reskin). I hope they fix these two in the sequel.

Once Steve Jobs said Microsoft products don't have any soul. Sony is getting closer and closer to a soulless and generic company by doing this.

The price is around $20 (2178 yen). If it is around 6 hours the price is justified.

It is nice, but I hope that the game is not too short.
