I've just finished the PS4 version and jumped straight into PS5 version and oh wow is it horrible. It's fine indoors, and looking down at the ground, but anything else in the open world it's in the teens. Mind you the quicker load screens make up for it.
Doesn't this begin to make people not spend, or even start in the first place, with a live service game for fear of it being shut down?
The Netflix Effect is happening to live service games.
I gave it a 4 as it just wasn't fun and that parkour was infuriating. I did quite enjoy the cuff chat though, I thought he was quite funny, which puts me in a minority it seems.
156hrs of gameplay so far for me, but to be honest there's about 15hrs of gameplay in it. It's one hell of a grind for a platinum. One thing it desperately needs is more space/biomes so that's good. I just hope they're attached ones rather than the teleport ones.
I've been playing it this weekend, wow it's bad.
I finished the main story and now just clearing up the collectibles. I want it to be over.
Top tip: swap R2 with R1 and L2 with L1, your trigger finger will thank me.
@PenguinLtd it really got super-obvious after a while didn't it? You could just see the next gap approaching from afar and know exactly what was on the other side.
@Ah-Void I think I played about 70 games this year, I thought Need for Speed Unbound was a highlight, Dying Light 2 was good, Plague Tale was too, as was WRC Generations. I could name many more, all more fun and more entertaining for me. Each to their own remember.
I just didn't think it was that good, too much talking, too much squeezing into the next arena, and too many daft puzzles.
Feel free to hate me but there were better games this year.
Oh and happy new year x
Done, I hope it all helps, and thanks for reminding me I'm getting closer to the bottom button of that "How old are you" question.
Some strange ones in there, especially the car one, several popular styles of car aren't even listed.
A solid 7 from me, I didn't really see what all the negativity was about. I found the traversal fun and the world looked really good. Yes it wasn't 60fps but you did get used to it after a few minutes.
Almost as good as the first one but the length was off for me, it just lasted a tad too long. The first one felt a more believable world too. Still brilliant and I hope they make more.
Thanks @Westernwolf4 I'm sure it'll plop through the letterbox tomorrow, fingers crossed. I'm 50/50 on physical/digital these days, but the fact that physical prices on day one releases are so much cheaper is worth the risk to me. Saying that, base.com where I order from usually gets the games to my door before release so it's just a blip this time. I hope you get to enjoy it too.

@LiamCroft I really do need a backlog, I end up finishing everything in its first week.
Re: Tchia PS5 Patch Adds 60fps Support
Annoyed this wasn't available at launch as surely most people have finished/experienced it by now?

Re: MLB The Show 23's PS5, PS4 Platinum Trophy Will Take Some Time This Year
I wonder how long it takes to earn a diamond ranked player and what the odds are?
Re: Techland Ditches the Zombies, Working on Open World Fantasy Epic Next
I hope they keep the combat style, that's what made Dying Light for me.
Re: Need for Speed Unbound Volume 2 Brings New Events, Features in Major Update
Got to hand it to them that is a brilliant trailer.
Re: Gallery: Final Fantasy 16 Artwork Is a Feast for the Eyes
Can you transmog the dog as a puppy and have him as a beast in battle? Now that would be cool.

Day one purchase for sure.
Re: Wait?! Dead Island 2 Looks Like a Bloody Good Time on PS5, PS4
This is just how I remember the original Dying Light, one of my favourite games of all time.
I am so excited for this one.

I still think that this is the best Assassin's Creed.

Higher prices?
Didn't Sony introduce £70 games first?

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Delayed to 28th April
These companies really should think of a date and then just add three months.
Re: The Crew Motorfest Goes Fender-to-Fender with Forza Horizon on PS5, PS4 This Year
@AdamNovice I would enjoy the c**p out of a game like that, Riders Republic was a huge laugh.
Re: The Crew Motorfest Goes Fender-to-Fender with Forza Horizon on PS5, PS4 This Year
YES! Fully hyped for this one now.
Got to be one of the best games on the horizon now (I even impressed myself with that pun).

I gave it a 4 as it just wasn't fun and that parkour was infuriating.

Re: Can The Crew's Sequel Finally Bring a Forza Horizon Beater to PS5?
Very much looking forward to this, although it doesn’t sound like they are getting rid of the boats and planes though which is a disappointment.

It's actually a pretty fun game.

@carlos82 judging from your avatar we probably like similar games too

Re: 25% of Players Have Beaten God of War Ragnarok, Two Weeks After Release
@IOI ahh yes, get in the boat, look at map, wrong beach, look at map, back in boat
Re: 25% of Players Have Beaten God of War Ragnarok, Two Weeks After Release
Finally platinumed it today, those final fights for 100% were quite amusing as was the crucible but the rest of it was pretty boring.
Re: Need for Speed Unbound Trophies Drive You to Play Online if You Want That Platinum
It does depend on whether the playlists are full leaderboards or just a few select people. Either way probably pretty easy eventually.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give God of War Ragnarok?
@Nexozi true but some of us have memory issues so it's pointless, I can't remember very well so I'm sitting through something for nothing.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give God of War Ragnarok?
It's ok, it's no 10 but I gave it a good 7.
Unskippable cutscenes though, dear heavens.
Re: Random: KFC Capitalises on God of War Ragnarok with Opportune Ad Placement
This just makes me wish I lived near a KFC.
Re: Need for Speed Unbound's Takeover Mode Is All About Driving with Style
I'm sort of looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time.
Re: EA Reportedly Writes Off Project CARS, DiRT Franchises
Gutted. Two great franchises. Well, apart from PC3, that was garbage.
Why buy racing developers if you aren't going to make racers?
Re: Puma, Versace Among the Real-Life Brands in PS5's Need for Speed Unbound
Do you remember when racing games partnered with car companies? Us oldies remember.
Re: Puma, Versace Among the Real-Life Brands in PS5's Need for Speed Unbound
Snap, only four for me too.
Now I'm seeing the potential for a Need for Speed for us oldies.
Re: Return to Monkey Island Lands a PS5 Version Next Week

Re: God of War Ragnarok PS5, PS4 Spoilers Rife As Retailers Break Street Date
Two weeks early I can understand his frustration but the bit about "having just an installer on the physical disc" is just dumb.

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
Team 60fps.

Postal strikes means mine has been sitting in a sack somewhere for the past few days. No idea where.
Re: Refuel with Gas Station Simulator on PS4, Available Now
Yeah, why not, I enjoy a decent job simulator.
Re: DualSense Edge PS5 Controller Is Coming Soon, and It's Pricey
We were way off in that poll weren't we?
£210 is insanity, not a chance they sell many of these.
Re: Mini Review: LEGO Bricktales (PS5) - Solid Puzzler Taps into the Creativity of LEGO
It was good but painfully short for the amount of time it must've taken to create. Definitely could've done with more large puzzles like the bridges.
