Lake House was crazy good. Currently playing Control AWE dlc again now and the little tid bits Remedy drops in it about Lake House is so awesome now that I've played it.

I was certain Sammy was gonna lobby this game into the top three. This is my GOTY right here.

I thought the reason it was painted as a sales flop was that SE themselves said it didn't meet expectations and had a weaker start than FF 16? Or am I tripping?

This weekend I'm playing DQ11 on the Switch and Indiana Jones on Series X. I've put STALKER 2 on hold for now. Its a great game but its really testing my patience at times and I'm not really in the mood for that. On PS5 I'm currently not playing anything but I am considering Rebirth, Infinite Wealth or Silent Hill 2. I might pick up one of them before the sale ends.

As for next year, there's currently 31 games I'm looking forward too. If 1/3 of them actually releases I'll be more than happy with 2025.

I gotta go with Dragon Age Veilguard. Never got bored with it. Game respected my time. And the main story was very intriguing with a superb 3rd act.

@Balaam_ Your reasoning is sound. Personally I dont think I will play it until they patch in an auto-complete feature for the minigames (that still unlocks trophies). I looked at all of them and they all seem silly and not fun. Except for the card game but I'm not sure.

I got a nice trifecta going with Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones on Xbox and DQ11 on Switch. My PS5 is MIA for now. Have a good weekend!

My plan is to jump between Indiana Jones, Stalker 2 and DQ11. I like having three games to jump between.

If its next gen I hope they only focus on next gen.

@Deadhunter I would send an email. In some countries there are laws that if you bought something and it goes on sale a couple days later you get the difference back.

A lot of great games on sale but the ones Im interested in didnt go down that much. Might get one of them though...

@themightyant I think the awards being rushed should be moved to a longr preshow and during the mainshow they could do a reel of which games won what earlier tonight.

I wish all the awards Geoff just list up would be moved to the preshow so the winners could give speeches.
During the mainshow Geoff could instead do a round up with all the winners from the preshow (or make a montage).
Other than that, Im pretty happy with the format this year.

As others has said, it should just be on the app like Spotify does it. Makes everything easier.

I just hope the winners actually get to give speeches this year. If not they need to have a preshow with the less interesting (but still important) awards to be handed out where they can talk, get and give the cred they want.
Other than that, some cool game reveals is always welcome. Im personally looking forward to it and will watch the show live like I always do even if it means I will be tired at work on Friday. I do the same with superbowl.

@MrPeanutbutterz Same here! Bought both games on release. Played Tekken 8 only the first weekend, and only 8n hrs ish before I was bored with it. SF6 on the other hand, one ish session a week since release.

Switch: DQ11, just made it to Gallopolis. Absolutely love this game.
Xbox: I finished Fractured But Whole. I plan to unlock some more achievements before retiring it. I also decided to jump back into Control again after finishing the Alan Wake 2 DLC had me itching for more Remedy madness.
PS5: Hunting down the final costumes in my personal GOTY Stellar Blade.

PS5: I'm on my fifth playthrough of Stellar Blade on my quest to pick up the last costumes from the latest patch.
Xbox: I just finished the first Hellblade game for the second time. It still holds up great, despite the weak combat. The story is just too good to be ignored. I'm also close to finishing Fractured But Whole.
Switch: Really enjoying DQ11. A true GOAT type of game. I can't really explain it but it feels right to play now that Christmas is coming up. Maybe its the music.

That was by far my favourite Astro Bot level.

It's a really fun game so I totally get it! I couldn't stop smiling while playing it, except for that one super difficult level, then I was not smiling, at all. Overall great game! Highly recommended.

This can be very funny to watch but very frustrating to play yourself. Looks wacky enough to give it a go though!

@Vivisapprentice I really hope that's not the direction they are heading. I would rather have flashbacks where Joel shows up and his past mistakes have implications for how the triology ends.

My kids love it. And I think the writing is pretty funny so I enjoy watching them play. Bought it for the Switch though.
