Re: Hands On: How Does Borderlands 3 Run on PS4 Pro?

BrettAwesome

I think it's utterly pathetic. This game does not look leaps and bounds better than the handsome collection or the goty edition, yet runs at a much lower res when running at the same fps. Choosing UE4 for this game was a very poor choice. So this game is 30fps on base hardware? So we get all the games remastered at 60 fps this gen, except the new one. I hate when a new entry feels like a downgrade

Re: That Borderlands 3 Reveal Was Just a Snazzy New Trailer

I am excited! And I love open worlds! But this year has actually made me a little bit less excited than before it was even revealed. I began a second playthrough of BL2 because it got the pro patch. Then Borderlands GOTY because it was dirt cheap on psn, and then RAGE2 because that was cheap at a local retailer. RAGE2 feels a LOT like Borderlands, with the setting and general atmosphere. I'm absolutely going to play BL3, but at this point my eyes are on The Outer Worlds

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo Switch Lite Signals the Need for a PS4 Super Slim

The ps4 slim was already die shrunk from 28nm to14nm. The pro is 14nm too. The new zen2 and navi chips are the first products (except for vega7) to utilize 7nm tech. Shrinking existing hardware down to 7nm with only 18 months left before next gen arrives, I think simply won't come attached with any major financial gains. Keeping the 14nm assembly lines up and running will probably be less costly. My bet is they'll be keep making the slim for a couple more years. If they decide to shrink a ps4, I can only see it make sense with the ps4pro. But the thought of a standard ps4 being shrunk to 7nm is a fascinating thought though. That thing could potentially work as a portable. Slap on a 1080p screen and Bob's your uncle
