Re: PS5 Digital Edition vs PS5: What's the Difference?

BrettAwesome

The one with the drive. I have a lot of physical games. Probably around 80 or something. Besides, I would love the opportunity to buy 4K blu ray movies. I just hope this time they also support audio cd's like they did on PS3. That thing can even rip cd's and store them on the hdd. Great, because I still use an mp3 player, and I have a whole lot of music on cd. Generally I just have so much stuff on physical media that it would be dumb of me to opt for the digital version, but I totally understand why some people do!

Re: PS5 SSD: Why It's Better Than HDD

@Ridwaano
And I'm saying it's wrong. I guarantee you Nvme drives such as the one found inside the PS5 gets MUCH hotter than an HDD. I ask again. Have you ever seen an HDD with a heatsink?
Besides, the drive in the picture is a sata SSD. Big difference, as it's a lot slower than an Nvme

Re: PS5 SSD: Why It's Better Than HDD

@Ridwaano
Wrong! The type of SSD in the PS5 gets very hot! Most have their own heatsink, many even have their own fan. By your logic, a cpu and a gpu wouldn't run hot either, because they don't have any moving parts.

Re: Correction: Spider-Man Miles Morales Is a Brand New, Standalone PS5 Game Similar to Uncharted Lost Legacy

@Tharsman
Sooo, not one single AAA first party title confirmed at this point? Except for a glorified expansion and a sports title? Wow 😐 that's...really disappointing. I'm pretty sure I'll get one during launch week, just for games like Cyberpunk and maybe even Ghost of Tsushima depending on what upgrades they bring, but this is still (at this point) a really weak launch lineup

Looks like the only game confirmed as an actual launch title (not just "holiday 2020") is that Astrobot game.

Re: Can PS5 Go On Its Side?

BrettAwesome

I wonder what side of the disc is up, because the shape of the drive, when the console is standing upright, suggests that the upper side of the disc points right while the bottom points left, but that would mean that the bottom side of the disc points up when the console is placed horizontally

Wow. Could you do a worse job hiding your agenda? 😂
And get you facts straight. It's 10,28 tflops. On top of that, it appears obvious that you have no idea what to make of the "'boost clock" situation. Nothing is overclocked. Look into AMD smart shift. You will learn something.

Re: Your First Look at PS5 Will Be in 1080p, 30 Frames-Per-Second

BrettAwesome

@Grimwood
I guarantee you I can tell the difference. I'm about 9 feet from a 65" and I can easily tell if it's 4K or 1080p. There can be close to 4k res that's hard to tell from true 4k, but if you watch 4k and then drop it to 1080p you're gonna see the difference immediately.

@Zeke68 so, does surround sound improve your image quality, or are you just trying to squeeze some stealth bragging in there? 😂

Well, I know it's entitled because you don't pay for the service push square provides. But I still feel like a long time fan who's turning into a dissatisfied customer. Even for a free product there can be brand loyalty. And trying to fix a problem by lowering your standard and sacrificing quality is not a great solution. Sure it takes more work to deliver in times like these, but I believe that fixing an increasingly poor reputation takes even more work.

I believe it's because people used to enjoy it, but feel that the standard has dropped very suddenly. I have felt a bit let down as of late too. I don't enjoy it as much anymore. I've been a member for 5 years. Should I really just p!ss off the moment I begin to feel like things have changed for the worse?

Well, this article har already been published. Now it's suddenly up there as the very latest news again. And all it said was "a statement has been made private". Maybe it's just me, but it made me feel a bit dumb for clicking, thinking there was some actual news in there. Don't get me wrong, I generally really like this site and have been a member for 5 years. And I knoooooow everyone's a critic these days. I just don't get why I'm presented with this as "news". It's an update to previously published stuff. Does it go to the top of the pile every time every little detail is updated?
