Stellar Blade. Just beat the first “non-prologue” boss. Combat feels so smooth IMO. Game looks gorgeous. Absolutely loving my experience with it. Also, super glad there’s a second play through needed for the platinum. It definitely seems like a game I’d want to replay again

So an 8 here usually means a 9 for me. Only concern is if the English dub is actually bad or not. I don’t mind subs though. I’m pretty lenient with dubs (with Yakuza being the exclusion) so I’ll give both a try

Regardless, pumped for this! The combat and visuals are what drew me in. If the story isn’t “all-world”/top notch, so be it. I just want to have fun after playing some heavy hitter narratives

I hope they add more “weaknesses” to the combat. I’m fine with the basic fire/wind/ice/electric/light/dark (and nuke/psi) but I’d love another weakness triangle or two that corresponds with the fantastical theme of the game

I’ve been waiting for the DLC to drop (soon) and more patches to come before doing my “hard mode” run. When things die down in the summer for big releases, I may pop this disc back in. Absolutely loved the game and it sounds like the combat is becoming even better. Sign me up

I’m just hesitant to upgrade to a PS5 Pro because the PS6 is probably coming sooner than later. If it’s not really a huge graphical leap, I may pass. I don’t care much about performance. Games look great on my LG CX anyways with the “base” PS5.

Rebirth was fantastic to me. But coming out in quick succession versus other giant JRPGs didn’t help. Most gamers don’t have the time for two brand new 100 hour games back to back like that. I thibk Rebirth will have a second wind down the line whether they do another DLC ep, expand on Queen’s Blood or when it’s added to PS+

Days Gone. First time trying it and I really like it! It’s not a masterpiece like TLOU, but it’s pretty fun

I’m going to give this a try. Currently I’m playing Days Gone with a little bit of Immortals Fenyx Rising on the side. This could be a fun game to get into a bit

It wouldn’t surprise me. DLC/Expansions are used as “second winds” for games these days. It’s to extend their lifespan and keep chuggin’ along.

God of War (2018). Love going back to this beautiful world and fun combat. Tbh I would be playing/streamimg GoW 1 (PS3) on PS+ streaming service, but its too laggy for a game that requires fast button inputs. It doesn’t register my presses most of the time. Anyways, I’m cleaning up GoW (2018) en route to another platinum.

On Thursday, I platinum’ed One Piece Odyssey. Flawed yet fun to hang with the Strawhats. It has potential to be great if they expand on it, make more unique NPC models (I swear there are only like ten and they all change hair) while adding more actual OP characters (frayed memories should’ve been boss fights against side characters like Mr. 1 in Alabasta, Kalifa in Water 7, any War Lord in Marineford, and Fujitora in Dressrosa), collectible counters, more convenient save spots aka next to camps, etc. I’m sure there was a budget but still a lot of missed potential that could be worked on. Welpppp, I got sidetracked

I just feel like this is a title that’s going to be patched a lot so I’m waiting. Kinda like Baldur’s Gate 3. I want to play a more polished product of these huge epics

I may try it on a heavy discount, but odds are I’ll skip this. Super disappointed still they did not build off of the past two games. Both were super entertaining and funny. They had a sure thing yet went in the other direction 😩🫤🫤🫤🥱

Just finished Rebirth last night and the game was phenomenal. Are there flaws? Yes. Is the story a bit convoluted at times? Yes. Are there too many mini-games thrust into the main story? Yes. But the world and its characters are just damn beautiful. The music is incredible. That Stamp remix song is addicting af. Cannot wait for the 3rd game. Give it to me now 😭😭😭

There are so many 100+ hour epics right now that I’m sure FF7 Rebirth will have lasting power. It’s hard to keep up with all the releases ATM 😂😂 best start to a year of gaming in years IMO

As someone who knows next to nothing about technology, with this updated model, how many more years do we think it’ll be before the PS6? Obviously no one has the exact numbers but is this a sign that the PS5’s life cycle will be longer or shorter with new tech coming into play?

There are so many 100+ hour RPGs out right now that I’m sure FF7 Rebirth will get another boost soon. Not everyone has time to play 3 100 hour games in a month. Jam packed start to the year!

Nintendo does absolutely fine with exclusives. These companies need exclusives so they can entice players to their hardware. I’d rather system exclusives than some systems becoming obsolete which creates a gaming monopoly any day of the week

I’m a sucker so this stuff really doesn’t bother me. I wish it was available at launch like the Persona 5 Tactica “story” DLC. At least I’m knowingly a sucker tho.

This is depressing. He was so young as well. His influence over manga/anime/video games will always exist. He’s a legend. I can remember my schooldays coming home and sitting in front of the TV waiting for Toonami. I remember buying that DBZ card game with my bros and not knowing how to play 😂😂 I’ve recently been playing DQXI and loved his designs there. This is a huge loss for the world

I can’t even tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS. My tv can definitely handle it (LG CX) but I tend to use graphics/resolution mode. This is a me problem for sure 😂😂 it surely doesn’t help that I’m technology incompetent.

I hope for the people who use performance mode that it stabilizes in time for them to enjoy 60 FPS

Music is so important in video games. If its music is bland/boring, I’m less likely to play. If it’s anything like Nier’s OST, I’m pumped. I have faith Okabe (hope I spelled that right) can deliver some banger pieces.

Stellar Blade looks more and more like a Day 1 purchase for me. Hopefully it feels like a complete game without needing DLC and a huge expansion post-launch to clear things up.

I’ve been waiting for NG+ so I can platinum it. I don’t normally do 2 playrhroughs if I can 100% it in one. SM2 warrants a 2nd play IMO. But now I kind of feel like waiting for the inevitable DLC so I can experience it all at once again. I just want the complete experience. Inb4 they don’t even make DLC for SM2 and I wait forever for nothing 😭😭😭

For the bball player, there’s no way that one of the ultimates were not an ankle breaking crossover lowering their defense or an alley oop slam dunk over the opponent inflicting a status ailment like fear or stun. HMU RGG, I’ll make Ichiban a baller that rivals Jordan & the late great Kobe

Such a no brainer to bring these games to PC after their sales stall on PS5 after a couple years. Extends their lifespan and may even make people want to buy or replay it on their PS5 since it’ll be in the gaming news. GoT is such a great game that I’m glad more can experience it

I actually may do you said in the 2nd paragraph and start with Daybreak. I’m not against going back to playing older entries. I played Yakuza 0 then 7 then played 1 through 6 in order. So if Daybreak is good, it may hook me in! Just what I need- another JRPG series dominating my free gaming time 😂😂
