Did anyone else notice they have the same squatting mini-game like in FF7 Remake?? Those two gym mini games gave me nightmares- especially the chapter 14 one. Anyways, I’m interested in this game. But the trailer was okay. Looking forward to hearing more, specifically about the combat and time management!

Octopath Traveler 2. I’m on the end of chapter 2’s/start of 3’s. Playing by level instead of story order. Loving it so far!! But, there’s such a huge jump from early 20’s to 30’s that makes me feel like I’ll have to grind soon

I’d much rather these companies stay independent.Everyone should be able to play The Witcher/Cyberpunk on their preferred console in the future. I’m pretty tired of acquisition talks in general but admit they won’t end any time soon if not ever

Can’t wait for it!! I hope this means they have some hidden game up their sleeves ready to surprise us! Honestly, I’d just be happy to see ANYTHING of LAD 8 and finally lock in a release date for Gaiden!

I bookmarked this awhile back because I hadn’t bought Octopath Traveler 2 at that time (was playing through the Yakuza series). What a great interview! It doesn’t seem like they shut the door on the first one coming to PS in the long haul. It makes complete sense why they wouldn’t bring the first to PS so close to release of the second. I do hope one day they revisit it and release it on PS!

Personally, I thought it looked great. Could be a lot of fun! I may buy it close to launch if I’m done with FFXVI and Octopath Traveler 2 (just started last night) by then. But I don’t want to commit to anything besides those two until after all the gaming presentations hit in June.

I’ve never bought a game at launch digitally for $60. Physical is just more valuable in almost every sense (well, digital has no value really outside your account). This is a gross development for the gaming industry. I’ll be avoiding this until it hits PS+. It’s a shame really.

Is the screen going to be OLED or nahh? I’m interested in this. Not something I’d use every day though. But it would be great to play turn base games on the fly

I was pretty disappointed but my expectations were, admittingly, way too high. Spider-Man 2 looks friggen incredible. So hyped for that! But no FF7 Rebirth, Death Stranding 2, Persona/Like A Dragon, Stellar Blade (so shocked by this one. I hope it isn’t delayed), Bloodborne 2/Remake/Remaster or Hades 2 tremendously disappointed me. Like obviously not all of those would be shown- but damn. Again, my expectations were too sky high. That’s on me

If it sells amazing like it probably will, I highly doubt they won’t make DLC. Can’t wait for June!

I actually searched Amazon to see if it had a massive drop in price yesterday. Still like $40ish. So I’m either going to buy it on Black Friday or wait until it hits PS + eventually.

@Rob_230 that would be awesome if it was both! I haven’t heard any direction regarding that. But a mix between brawler & turn-base?!!? Sign me up twice!

I don’t believe they haven’t thought of it. I do believe they’re still grieving though. Lance Reddick was a big part of the storyline of Horizon. I really hope they don’t do the off-screen death stunt. He deserves much, much better.

His character probably was slated to die in the finale though, probably in a sacrifice to save Aloy and for Guerilla to display he’s “human” & changed. But there’s no way Mr. Reddick would’ve wanted his beloved character to be given a death less significant than originally meant.

I honestly didn’t expect it to be there. But, I’m excited to continue Jin’s story whenever it comes out! One of my rare Day 1 purchases and first ever platinums was the first game. Can’t wait for the eventual sequel!

I’m praying for some LAD Gaiden news if not this showcase, in the coming weeks. After just finishing Yakuza 6 days ago (still need to play the Judgment games), I’m ready to go back to Kiryu’s story already.

I hope Gaiden booms and makes RGG realize they can support both Ichiban (whom I love a ton too) alongside Kiryu in different sagas. The turn base is awesome in LAD 7 but it’d be great to have the regular brawler combat too.

Man, I just want news on LAD: Gaiden, LAD 8, Persona 6, any other Persona 5 spin off they’re inevitably making, SMT news, etc rather than “News” about them increasing their prices. How long can Sega keep me waiting for these precious titles?!?

Yakuza 5. I’ve played through Yakuza 1 through 4 since mid-March. Excited to catch up before LAD Gaiden comes out whenever that is.

I actually like the original a ton even with Royal out. It has its own charm IMO. Don’t get me wrong- Royal is much better. The original though still has a very fun trophy list unlike Royal.

I just want a Bloodborne sequel or remaster. It was my first From game so I’d love to explore that world with better graphics.

Ghostwire Tokyo. The story is just okay but I love the combat. Not complex, fast, and fun. Wish the quests were more than “fight this group”. But I’m having fun with it in general!

I want to play it pretty badly but gaming companies are making it harder to justify Day 1 purchases. Way too many bugs and incomplete products have changed my mindset in buying games earlier. I don’t want to play a version that‘s much less polished. This sounds like a perfect Black Friday game deal to me.

Usually I love the Golden Week sale but most of the games I would want are owned or not deep enough discounts. What a bummer

That can deck any game’s rating down for me. Challenging is good (if not great because of how rewarding it feels), but not boss fights that make you want to rip your hair out even if you’re bald.

It’s really Ashe’s story in the viewpoint of another (Vann). I only recently played it for the first time this year so I never knew that rumor. But like commenters said, Basch is there to protect Ashe above all else. It doesn’t fit well to have him be the MC whereas in Vann he’s a commoner getting to firsthand witness the events to get everything back on track for the land. Just my opinion.

@Loamy some people have way too short of a leash. It’s a shame, really. Different opinions actually can better yourself and make you learn new things. Oh well, I usually cringed at his comments anyways

Couldn’t he be already working/preparing for DLC in advance? I truly doubt SM2 won’t have an expansion. It’s easy money for Sony

I forgot how beautiful this game was. Got to the settlement then went to bed. Can’t wait to explore more hopefully today 😎😎 this review got me even more excited to get at it

I only talked to Sylens to start the DLC, but I’m just so sad Lance Reddick passed away. He was an extraordinary actor and a good part of Horizon’s plot/success. Loved his character. It’s going to be rough not having him in the “finale”.

@nessisonett JK Rowling is a fantastic writer. Her world building is amazing with so much depth to it. Your take seems to be more about the “controversy” surrounding her than the actual books themselves. Her sales and awards debunk her being a “terrible writer”. Even if you don’t like her, she’s a great author.

I just finished Yakuza 4. Going to clean some trophies up while watching some NBA/MLB during my downtime. Relaxing weekend here

FFXII was fantastic. Good taste there!! I absolutely adore the gambit system. Probably in my top 3 of FF games.

FF16 has me so excited for June. It comes out two days before my birthday so I’ll wait those two days then give myself a birthday treat in the nighttime 🤤😎🤤

There’s a part of me that wants to watch the showcase badly. But there’s another part that says: “You’re already buying this Day 1. Go in as fresh as possible.”

FF12’s gambit system is amazing. I only played FF12 for the first time this year and fell in love with it. Give me a ps5 remaster of FF12 so I can platinum it again please 😭😭😭😭

This will save players tons of time over backtracking to other locations. It’s especially useful if going for the platinum, which I most likely will. Pretty stoked for this one!

I’m finishing Yakuza 3 Remastered probably tonight which by far has the worst combat of the 5 games I’ve played (0, 7, 1, 2, 3 is my play order). Too many stuns & almost instantaneous blocking kill the flow of combat. I heard Yakuza 4 & 5 are great so I’m excited to get into it. I’m trying to get through the series before LAD 8 and 6.5 (I guess you’d number it that) come out.

Damn, I stopped right before Novigrad to hoping for a better fix ASAP. I’ll just have to keep waiting for another update.

The two things I hate most as a “trophy hunter”: online trophies and grindy trophies. Pass, pass and pass. I applaud anyone who gets it though. Power to them

Yakuza Kiwami 2. I’ve practically completed the tedious “Completion List”. I only have two Clan Creator missions left. Then I’m doing the Majima saga. In-between baseball & work, maybe I’ll start legendary difficulty. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

@BeerIsAwesome I wouldn’t say everybody. There are quite a lot of fans of it. The combat was fantastic. I had a blast playing as Ellie. But the story was lacking for sure. I didn’t like the beginning, that’s for sure haha
