Nice article. Thanks Liam. It seems like all these big publishers have been burned by their attempts to cash-in the games as a service model so they are doubling down and creating online platforms with games as a service. What could go wrong?
@eltomo 100% agree. I realize I am getting old but constant mumble rap really does my head in. I loved old school hip hop and listen to a wide eclectic mix of music but sadly there really isn't much variety now in the game (or NBA2k as well)
Hopefully more indie devs come out and throw fuel on this fire. Even PS+ games - when they are a fun indie, they often become very popular. Instead we get 'AAA' online FPS garbage every month
Everything in our culture is so hyper sensitive and politicized, I am sure RockStar does not want to kill the Golden Goose by bringing out something new that could cause a major cancel outrage.
I don't think every game needs to be accessible to every person. From Software games are very challenging and difficult - if you are up for the challenge, then play it. If not, don't.
I don't play them but enjoy watching some short videos to see how they play.
Why is Push Square so negative when it comes to E3? We are still in a global pandemic and after the Cyber Punk fiasco I am sure devs/ publishers aren't rushing to make outlandish claims for upcoming games.
Everyone did their best and I expect some really exciting things for next year.
I am thrilled with Xbox and looking forward to the Nintendo show. This new generation is definitely all about the exclusives so you are going to need multiple platforms to play all of the games.
The Xbox/ Bethesda conference was great. Halo multiplayer looked good and Starfield being a next gen game is fantastic. I was a bit disappointed in Outer Worlds 2 (would have loved to see them work on a Fallout New Vegas 2 instead) but plenty of exciting games coming to Game Pass for the next 18 months.
With a reputation like Naughty Dog, I really don't see the positives of overhyping a game in development, especially in light of everything that has happened in gaming the last 12 months.
I would just quietly make it the best game possible, let it go gold and then hype the last 4 weeks until release.
I really dislike when game devs make statements like this. Of course cross gen limits the game in some ways - these are the type of blanket statements that end up coming back to bite you
I am more worried about what the ps4 limitations will do to these sequels if they are indeed released on both generations. With Covid limitations already delaying games, being asked to release on 2 generations seems a difficult task
10 - what an incredible experience. My first time playing the ME trilogy and I have been blown away. I now understand why Bioware was so highly praised as the characters in all 3 games became my family and walking around the ship chatting with all of them became some of my favorite moments throughout my 50+ hrs.
@LiamCroft if 4 out of every 10 playstation gamers were women, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Maybe in 10 years but definitely not at the moment.
First time playing Mass Effect and now 15 hrs in the first one. Absolutely wonderful experience! Now I understand why Bioware was held in such high esteem.
I am 100% willing to buy an Xbox (with the incredible game pass) to play a great bethesda game . Fingers crossed that this buyout puts bethesda back on the right track
I broke all of my rules and pre-ordered. Loading 101.gbs now and ready to jump in. I did not get a chance to play any of the Mass Effect games so I am extremely excited for the next month of my quarantined life.
I definitely think Virtual Reality will play a huge role in future entertainment, business and education platforms. It is exciting that Sony continues to invest in it.
Its OK to release a game broken at launch, but if you buy it at a discount you are preventing further projects? I would love to blame the customer for my failed product in my job. Once again, proof that the gaming industry has some of the worst executives in any industry. Thank you Devs for working your tail off to make it great! Unfortunately, when you sell a defective product, it ends up on clearance - free market and all.

Re: Random: PlayStation Fans Start Petition to Cancel Hideo Kojima's Rumoured Xbox Game
These 'petitions' and fan 'tweets' would never see the light of day if gamer media didn't jump all over them for clicks.

The Sony Playstation leadership team seem like a bowling league team that won the lottery (ps4 gen) and will blow it in a few years.

Why TF do we get an online FPS game every month. I get they are popular but can you throw the rest of us an indie bone.
Battlefield, Squadrons, Call of Duty....

Just my thoughts.

Good for him, I guess.
Re: Madden NFL 22 Completely Transforms Franchise Mode on PS5, PS4
I am definitely NOT impressed. A very basic skill tree for coaches and a patched in after launch scouting system for $69.99.
F*** off EA
