Re: Reaction: Sony's Storefront Closures Put PS5, PS4 Backwards Compatibility Efforts Back in Focus

EVIL-C

Many typical replies from the "Sony can do no wrong" faithful here. I was already pissed enough when Nintendo abandoned their virtual console business model. They were the champions of BWC until the Switch, though I blame that on the media format change.
It wouldn't be so bad if one could buy PS1/2/3 games on PS5 or PS4, but one can't do that either. PS Now and game streaming in general is still far from ideal, even on a decent connection many still have issues with streaming.

Hundreds of legally obtainable classics are about to disappear, which is a sad thought to any real gamer or advocate of preservation.

As time goes on, I will buy less digital content from Sony. This company continues to massively underwhelm and disappoint. Typical Sony and their arrogance when they get back on top.

@Col_McCafferty Ironically, it's the core audience that is love with Switch. Your narrow-minded projections onto Switch are 100% inaccurate and wrong.
Who made the Switch the success it is? Gamers did. Sure the concept was NIntendo's, but they clearly struck lighting with this concept. People saw the concept, found it appealing and easy to understand, and boom, look how successful it has become. "Only for kids and those who gave up on gaming" Hahaha no. That is complete and total BS fanboyism on your part. You couldn't be more wrong. Made more evident from turning down a free system. Unreal...

The natural evolution of this concept would be to have a base unit at home that can run everything on par with the competition, plus run all or most of that software on a portable, detachable unit as well. If someone makes that hardware concept a reality, good f-ing night competition.

You should be more worried about Sony's complacency and lacking services. They could learn much from Nintendo and Xbox.

@Dezzy70 Lol, I guess you missed Sony's original State of Play. 😋🤮

This direct was too RPG heavy for me. Happy to see a release date for NMH3, and Skyward Sword HD is cool; hopefully gets the design improvements it badly needs, like the terrible swimming controls. I would've greatly prefered news on Bayonetta and MP4. 😔

Re: Soapbox: Bring Back Warhawk on PS5, You Cowards

EVIL-C

Warhawk was the first PS3 game I had. It was amazing. Poured a lot of time into it, which I rarely do with online games. It's simplicity and arcade-like feel was it's greatest appeal for me. I'd buy a direct sequel day one.

Re: PlayStation Studios Poised to Publish First Ever Xbox One Game

EVIL-C

@Gamer83 There's actually a huge precedent for Sony publishing games on other hardware, it's just not been done in a very long time. And when there's no viable MLB title elsewhere, that's where it really became questionable. I'm not even a sports gamer and I aways found MLB's licensing beyond strange.

Re: Soapbox: 2021 Is the Year to Tackle Your Backlog, Because So Many Games Are Going to Be Delayed

EVIL-C

True, plus I just wanna save more money in general. Literally just completed Snipperclips Plus tonight, and will play Spiderman tomorrow. Backlagg shall fall this year! 🧐⚔

@JLaw1719
This used to be a much larger problem for me. Now over the past 4 years, I'm purposely saying no and buying less (relative to before). Covid also got me into stocks, so now I'm otherwise growing that money instead of backlogging it.
Though I still buy a bit more than I can play. 😜😅
