Complacent is an accurate adjective to describe the current Sony and their internal output. Nearly a year's wait between Spiderman 2 and Astrobot is insane.

@J-Dubs That "rule" doesn't automatically apply to straight ports of re-released classic titles. Timesplitters is from the pre-HD, pre-achievement/trophy days.
Same with BWC original Xbox ports (like TS2 and 3) on Xbone/Series X; they don't have achievements, only 360 titles do.

Just bought TS1. 😍 Man, I missed this announcement last week. Despite already having Timesplitters 2 and 3 on Series X, TS1 is still exclusive to PS. Awesome to have the entire Trilogy again on modern hardware. 😍 The way the Timesplitters IP has been treated by publishers is just criminal at this point.

Since I mainly use PS5 for exclusives, and the only Sony exclusives in 2024 I care about are Astrobot and Silent Hill 2, PS5 is quickly becoming the absolute worst generation of PS by far.

These days, Switch and XSX get the majority of my time. Sony just sucks so much overall this generation. SMH.

@J_e_f_f__D I share similar sentiment that PS5 has been the worst PlayStation by far. I got in with PS3 and loved it. PS4 took awhile but eventually became a fantastic machine in its own right with a great library. But PS5? It's nearly 4 years old and it's exclusives that appeal to me, compared to past generations, is paltry by comparison. Off-hand, I believe I have 6, and over half of those were already on PS4, like Spiderman MM and Ghost of Tsushima. Sony is wasting their talents making multiplayer titles no one wanted, like that cancelled Last of Us Factions, or awful-looking live service crap like Concord. Develop an original Uncharted for PS5, or bring back Infamous, or Twisted Metal, or Warhawk, or Syphon Filter, or prioritize a sequel to Tsushima, stuff like that.
The part about Xbox and BWC is just an objective fact that MS has done the best job this generation, compared to Sony and Nintendo. It's one of my favourite Xbox features.

Concord was so uninteresting and uninspired from the trailer, I'd forgotten its existence before the SOP ended. Sony hasn't got hardly a clue what it's players want. We could see a return of classic IPs like Syphon Filter or Infamous, or another entry of Uncharted or an update about Ghost of Tsushima 2, but instead we get this dime a dozen hero loot shooter #57 crap.

Also, the name. To me, Concord is both a hypersonic aircraft that was retired, or a type of grape jelly. 🤷‍♂️

When I see some (keyword; some) PlayStation fans arguing that Sony should abandon their old IPs, just by virtue that they're old...you know, the brands that BUILT the platform in the first place, be it Twisted Metal, Uncharted or Killzone, I can't help but argue that if one truly wants that, those gamers can't get angry at the lackluster state of PS5s first party output.
Personally, PS5 has been Sony's worst generation by far, for internal output.
