Wasn't going to get the game cause i didn't have the time or patience to invest in the insanely long story, and now i'm not going to get it because with the way the patches are going by the time i get it it will take me years to download.
The base game wasn't horrible, and neither were the first 2 DLC, there are little things that they could of done better but you could make that claim for a lot of games. Bungie has always been regarded as a master of its craft when it comes to FPS genre, and it was no surprise that side of the game was really good, but i think the went into uncharted territory for themselves with this game, and it defiantly showed. But they listened to the people, and went back and learned what was good and what they could do better, and i think we are getting a much better game in September as a result, giving justification to the people who stuck with it for the last year, and hopefully bringing old players back and new players in.
Even with the mentioned problems of the base game, and the PR screw up's that happened after this was announced, you get a ton of content no matter if your new or old, which more then justifies the price for me.
Already have it pre ordered and being one of the sad saps that never played the trilogy out right when they first came out, im really looking forward to busting into it in October.
Personally, I Love Sony but there history with Peripherals is Lousy, i wanted it to succeed but there is no way i'm going to put the kind of monetary figure there going to ask to be down for it, until i know its not going to end up like the PSP, Vita or Move, or even that Eye Toy thing from the PS2 days.
You know, i think this speaks Volumes about how many quality titles there are on the PS3, and how much Sony changed there fortunes later in that consoles life. Sure we may not have back word's compatibility, but we are going to get quite a few of those last gen titles, with enhanced visuals and extra's and i think that is just as good if not better.
I hope dreams is a success, and it would be neat to see project Morpheus integration, because that is what the game screams, but at the same time i am very reserved about that because as much as i love Sony there history with peripherals is terrible at best. I just hope they allow there internal studious to take the time they need to make a great game, and never rush them, and also let them be free to come up with original idea's and be open to them, and also consider bringing back some franchises that haven't seen the light in a long long time, but would make there mark in today's market.
You can never go wrong with Nolan North, yes he is very overused, but at the same time no matter what he is given he always nails it out of the park, so i guess that not a bad thing. But there was a certain amount of humor involved with dinklebot from just how bad a delivery it was that will be missed.
I think that might be part of there thinking with the timed exclusive with Xbox, Xbox doesn't have a Nathan Drake in there wheelhouse, so they wouldn't have the kind of competition there, that they would have on the PS4. There probably hoping by holiday 2016, that some of the Uncharted thunder will have died so they can move some units.
The only advantage XBOX might have is the natural connection to the PC, because of the company who's umbrella it falls under. And yes some of it's tech side features are neat but to me it still seems like there trying to secretly push the all in one living room machine. Fact is, Sony has the sales they do because people know were to go for games, and despite all the flash from Microsoft, that isn't going to change anytime soon.
I think Sony is doing both, there is an equal importance for both, and Sony has done well there, but Xbox traditionally has relied heavier on third party game's, but now there trying to switch gears and do the exact opposite, if they really wanted to close the gap, they like Sony would focus on both. I mean look how well the first party primary thing is doing for Nintendo.
I think it's a good thing, that the light leveling system is being ditched, i for one know exactly what it's like to play hours on that and see nothing out of it, at least this way i'll always see some progress at the end of the day.
I've been working my collective self off on my Hunter to get him prepped for the Taken King, that game is the whole reason i even started playing the original Destiny. But i'm more pumped now that they got rid of that dam light level system, seems it will be more even playing field for everyone now.
@glassmusic Technically you are correct, and if Nathan Drake didn't exist this would defiantly suck a lot more, But Uncharted Plays a whole lot better, so i think when the Nathan Drake Collection and a Thief's End drops, all of the slapped face's might feel a little better.
@themcnoisy She's been around since the PS1 days, and she not a bad heroine, though the early release were (in my opinion) plagued by horrible controls, i just believe we have a game that in the same vein as tomb raider, and will be a whole lot better, coming a whole lot sooner.
I don't think this is a huge deal, i mean Laura Croft is a bad ass adventure, but the PS4 has its own exclusive resident adventurer also in Nathan Drake, and he's coming out with games soon.
Still playing Destiny, trying to grind out those last couple levels so i have at least 1 LV 34 by the time Taken King Comes out. Also might try to dip into Rocket League to see what all the fuss is about.
I still don't think the PS4 is up there in term of library Volume yet that they can offer anything really crazy for the PS4, like they can on there older systems. But based on what there is and for the sheer hilarity of it, Id like that pigeon dating simulator to be a freebie for a month.
I haven't played Tomb Raider anything in such a long time that to me personally it doesn't matter one bit, And with the Uncharted Series on the PS4 it seems to me people will have something to play in that genre, that will more then make them forget about the year lockout from Laura Croft.
More Destiny, trying to grind for those important Vanguard Marks, also throwing some Ultra Street Fighter 4 in there, since the updates have killed most of the bug's on the ps4 and EVO has me in the mood.
She is an excellent Director and Henig is probably one of the best writers in Video Games right now, so i'm pretty intrigued to see what these 2 can come up with.
Dumping more time into my Character on Destiny, and yes if the servers are up like everyone else ill probably sink some time into rocket league as well.
Honestly, The Ghost Recon Game looked amazing, and For Honor looked Neat, but beyond that they didn't really show me anything, except yet another assassins creed, yet another Just Dance, and a couple of sub par games in my opinion like Track Master. When Ubisoft hits, they Hit, but when they miss they do it horribly, and unfortunately there accuracy isn't that good.
I'm going to agree with there assumption Sony will attach itself to 3rd party offerings, and make it see first party i don't think they'll have many homegrown games coming out this year.
You have a fall out with the one guy that has been keeping the company afloat for years now, and now you cancel the one game that might of actually reversed your poor fortunes and got you back on the right course.
Konami it was nice to have known you, and Silent Hills its too bad we couldn't really get to know you.
Driveclub is at now a pretty good game, wasn't so much at launch time because i believe a longer delay was needed in that games case to polish it off so it could have launched the way it is now rather then how it did.
I'm highly anticipating Project Cars, i don't believe there is another type of racer like it on console, and im glad there delaying it to make sure it's the best it can be, i however wish they never even gave a release date at all and kept mum about it until they were 100% satisfied with what they were going to put out, they keep crushing people every time they say there ready and then pull it back again because they found something else wrong.
Dragon Age Inquisition, its probably what ill be playing for the next several weekends, seeing how big the Hinterlands is and how much there is to do, and its only the first area.
Looking at Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition, and Giving Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn a try, since i read that it doesnt require a subscription so long as you have ps plus.
I just got my system, and ill be tearing into my copy of GTA V first, i previously made it through the game on last gen consoles but can't wait to see the new first person mode.
