Bought Middle Earth: Shadow of War on a whim during the sale so I’ll be giving that a go. Didn’t really enjoy Shadow of Morder but I’m desperate for a good LOTR game so took a chance on it. I’ll also be playing more Elder Scrolls online as I try to finish the last expansion in time for the new one. Might do some BF V too

@ApostateMage “David Beckham’s in it” 😂😂
Not much for me today but tomorrow I’m going to get stuck in to Elder Scrolls Online after getting the itch to get stuck into it again, played chunk last year before moving on to other things but looking forward to exploring the Summerset DLC with my new Warden character. Also might get some Smite and Division 2 in their as well

It’ll be healthy doses of Sekiro and Division 2, really enjoying both games. Division is the best of the genre for me although I never really got into Destiny to be fair. As for Sekiro, I’m enjoying it and making steady progress but I still prefer Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 over it. Might change my mind by the end. Might also get back into Smite with season 6 after starting and the pushsquare gang getting itchy for it again

Re: The Division 2 - With a Few Tweaks, This Could Be Something Special

Hego

Good review, really sums up what’s good about the Division 2. It’s been far more fun when I’ve teamed up without people on mics, calling out enemy movements, co-ordinating attacks, flanking and flame turrets! It’s got certain issues but they look like fixable problems for Massive (adjust sledgehammer health, fix enemies spawn right behind you in streets, increase your armour in matchmaking with higher level people). Strongholds were a lot of fun and the mission design inspires a lot of confidence for future content and the raid. Loot system is working really well too, your never stuck with one weapon for too long before you can swap it. Shotguns probably need a fix though I would think. Great experience overall

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 263

It’s all Division 2 this weekend with the Pushsquare clan. I’ve only played about 6 hours of it but it’s been brilliant so far, consistent loot drops, engaging combat which forces you into tactical thinking, the guns feel and sound good, there’s an interesting variety of guns which makes the loot interesting to chase (apart from Shotguns) and world is fun to explore, your never more than a couple of minute from some loot or a fight ( which I think was the same mantra CD Project used for Witcher 3). It’s a huge step up from Anthem and an easy recommendation.

Anthem! When it’s not bugging out or crashing or loading it’s quite enjoyable so far. Haven’t played since the recent patch but it badly needs fixing if it wants to retain any sort of reasonable player base. I can see the potential in it for the future but I fear a poor launch will have cost it dearly, especially with s polished looking Division 2 around the corner. I’m also playing some Vampyr which I’ve enjoyed as a palette cleanser after the mammoth AC: Odyssey. The combat is pretty poor and boring but I’m enjoying the story and playing doctor 😜

After watching Ireland redeem themselves in the rugby (hopefully!) I’ll be joining into the Division 2 beta to try out the end-game activities, then some Apex Legends whichvis surpassing Blackout for me as the best Battle Royale. I’ll also try to play more AC: Odyssey which I’m nearing the end of, just have to finish the main and cultist questlind and a few side-missions

Re: Soapbox: The Problem with ANTHEM Is That the Storm Javelin Is Way, Way More Fun than the Other Suits

Hego

Agree with a lot of this. It’s cool that each javelin plays differently and feels unique but it results in the Storm being by far the most fun. Didn’t enjoy playing as a Collosus, for a Tank character you really couldn’t take that much damage before need to search for health. Didn’t enjoy using its abilities either. Rangers abilities were fun to use (even the grenade! Which was great from cutting down groups of minions) and felt the most like playing Iron-Man. Think Bioware need to make the flight last longer on the other classes, they build up heat a bit too quickly, definitely on Ranger. I’ve liked the gunplay in Anthem but it definitely feels second best to the abilities, they could do with a bit more punch

@get2sammyb Really? I’m sick of the Patriots winning so often. Brady is the GOAT but I’d like someone else to win. McVays a serious coach even if his personality is questionable 😂
I’m nearing the end of AC: Odyssey so I’ll play through more of that, Smite and Blackout as usual. Played a bit of the Anthem demo but I’m happy to leave it until the full release. Looking forward to it.
Edit: Also looking forward to Ireland smashing England in the rugby 😂 🇮🇪 COYBIG

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 256

Hego

Played a good bit of Anthem demo and it’s sold on me, love the flying and combat and find the world beautiful to explore. Will play more and hopefully try out a stronghold activity with fellow PS heads. Aside from that I’m going through AC: Odyssey which starting to feel like one of my favourite games of all time, I absolutely love it! They will probably be some Smite, Blackout in there as well

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 255

Hego

Finally finished Red Dead 2 this afternoon, from a very slow start the games story really grew on me. Very satisfying ending for me. After that mammoth task, I’m going to jump back into AC: Odyssey which I’m really looking forward to returning to. I’ll also play some Smite. R6: Siege and CoD this weekend too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 254

Hego

Ploughing through RDR2, I’m up to chapter 6 and after a very slow the story has really got its hooks in me. Still don’t like the gameplay mind. I’ll also be playing some Dark Souls 3 as I run through it again with some buddy’s, some BF V which I’m growing to really like, R6 Siege, Smite, Blops 4 and the Crew which I picked up recently and have enjoyed

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 252

Hego

I’m not sure how it’s happened but I’ve falling into replaying Dark Souls 3 with @Kyroki and @Simon_Fitzgerald as they play through for the first time. It’s a lot of fun co-oping with them to be fair! I still need to play through the dlc so that’s my excuse anyway. Along with that, I’ll be playing a mix of R6: Siege, Smite, Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, AC: Odyssey, Spyro trilogy, Crash Trilogy, Far Cry 5 and Hitman 1......thank god for teachers holidays!!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 251

Not a lot of time in between Christmas shopping and visiting but I want to get some BF V, Smite, Blackout and maybe Spyro in. Itll be Football manager touch on iPad md maybe some vita and 3ds games over Xmas eve and Day while I move back to my parents house. When I move back for Stephens day (Boxing Day to you Brits) I’ve AC: Odyssey, Far Cry 5, Spyro and Crash bandicoot trilogies and Red Dead to play through so I’ll be very busy along with all the movies and drinking! Merry Christmas to all the staff for a great year and to all the PushSquare heads (in particular @TheMcnoisy @KratosMD @AlexStinton @Simon_Fitzgerald @Kyroki, @LiamCroft and @TripleGK) have a great Xmas everyone

In between deciorsting my parents house and football, I’ll be playing more Smite and Blackout along with continuing with AC: Odyssey which I’ve jumped back to as a break from Red Dead. It still stuns me how gorgeous Odyssey is and I’d argue it’s possibly better looking than Red Dead. The Greek Isles are a delight to explore. And clearing out Forts just never gets dull for me
