Re: Gran Turismo 7 Promises Major PS5, PS4 Update Next Week

KAIRU

@AldusRavencorn A ‘24 hour day/night cycle’ exists in the game already, doesn’t it? Albeit only on a select few tracks.

I agree with pretty much all of the other points you’ve mentioned. Those would be a big update, not seven cars. 😂

Re: Rocket League to Jettison Player-to-Player Item Trading in December

KAIRU

Weirdly, I think they're planning a 'sequel' (think Overwatch 2) and this block to player trading is only temporary as they prepare to move all items and such over to the next game. Perhaps putting a hold on player trading might make things easier to transfer over.

I could be wildly wrong, but that's my theory nonetheless.

Re: Poll: How's Your Hype for Marvel's Spider-Man 2?

KAIRU

Honestly, after playing the first one, I'm not bothered in the slightest. Slinging webs around New York is fun but the combat got boring after about twenty minutes.

Not having a go at anyone interested as I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but hard pass from me.

@Cherip-the-Ripper Regarding losing your hunters, you don’t need to re-purchase the DLC every time to get them again, so you’re not spending £10/$10 every time to use them. Instead, they’ll cost 200 hunt dollars each time you want to use them (hunt dollars being the currency you earn by playing the game), so you’re not necessarily losing out in the way you think you are.

Hopefully the current-gen upgrade coming next year will give us PS5 and Xbox users the ability to team up together which, if that happens, I’d be happy to join you for some games.

A lot will have changed if you last played over two years ago, so it might be a bit daunting to get to grips with everything, but it’s a cracking game, in my opinion. It’s so tense!

@Perturbator @Cherip-the-Ripper It is hard with a controller, but the skill level of players of this game on PC is on another level.

I wouldn't worry too much about MMR or Prestige levels. I've played against 20+ Prestige players who couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, and players who are Prestige 0 who can land a headshot from 200+ metres away. I'm Prestige 5 with over 500 hours in the game and I'm still atrocious.

Also, regarding losing your Hunter if you die, you can get a new free one after every game, so it's not that much of a loss really. You could also play quickplay to try get some free gear to take into Bounty Hunt if you're strapped for cash.

Remember: 'Hunt Giveth; Hunt Taketh Away.'

I've been saying for years that this is the best FPS game on the market, and it's about to get even better. This game is brilliant and there have been a lot of improvements since its initial PS4 release. There is also the new event which starts this week, adding some new weapons, which is awesome!

EDIT: Also, David Fifield has a tremendous beard.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Lies of P?

One of my most anticipated games this year and it hasn't disappointed. A vast improvement from the demo when I played it however many weeks ago.

Don't get drawn into the Bloodborne comparisons and you'll have a great time.
