I will be cautiously optimistic until this is confirmed. But it is nice to finally hear that Yakuza 3-5 may finally come to PS4 in the west (without PSNow).

I know that people might disagree with me on this and that is fine, but although this is a good thing, it is not something I celebrate. All that has happened here essentially is that the gambling element has been removed, so that the microtransactions are protected against any potential gambling law changes. Not saying that is why Psyonix and Epic have done this as there are worse companies out there such as EA and Activision, but I am pessimistic to say the least that this was done for any reason other than a potential danger to profits...

Damn, the last few years of gaming have made me a "glass half empty" kind of person.

@ZeroAbbadon Yeah, it is more of a wish than anything. The announcement did say it was for something brand new which has not been seen elsewhere, so it would also depend on whether they count Japan as being elsewhere or not.

If Sonic 2020, I am hoping for something similar to Mania than Forces.

Confirmation of Yakuza 3-5 remaster coming to the West would be brilliant. But yeah, could be anything.

I vaguely remember seeing game play of the first title and thinking that it wasn't too appealing, but then again, it must have some sort of appeal if it is still continuing today.

Whoa now, regardless of what game it is, I wouldn't destroy a perfectly good console over it. Give it to me, I'll use it.

Going to finally get the platinum for Rayman Legends today (damn challenge mode), then probably Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

@Ralizah They're pretty good guidelines. To be fair, unless it is a Nintendo game (personal preference), I very rarely buy games as soon as they release, so more often than not I do get the games cheap. I think sales is ultimately what makes the problem worst because the temptation is there.

You are also right about buying games because you want them as opposed to hoarding, but I tend to find that some of the most interesting games I have played are games that I would not of thought twice about buying but only got them for sale/collecting purposes. Best example of this for me is the Yakuza series, because although I had heard lots of good things about the series, it never sounded like it would interest me even when I brought Yakuza 0, but now, I am so invested in the series (Almost got platinum for 0 and have got platinum for Kiwami 2, haven't felt the urge to return to Kiwami yet).

I might try to be a little more strict in the future though. =)

@Ralizah This is pretty much me, although I think I am worse in that I do not even control my spending for games, so more often than not, my backlog grows endlessly. I think it also doesn't help that I prefer to complete games than just beat them, so I spend more time on some games than others.

I mean I am excited to see this new game, but at the same time, I want to experience all of Kiryu's story. I don't want to just skip to Yakuza 6.

@Porco On top of new areas and content there are also 3rd forms of personas, new/improved battle mechanics (ex. "Show Time" attacks), new social links, dungeons have been redesigned, new character and from what I can gather, partial rewrites of the story. It is a bit beyond the scope of DLC.

Now if you were talking about the Persona dancing games, I could sort of see where you are coming from. But P5R does not feel exploitative or anti-consumer to me. To be fair, it is all in how much individuals perceive the content to be worth.

Some mad volleyball skills there. They seem to really be pushing the new winter part of the game.

I still need to play the first two games, let alone this third one.

It will certainly be interesting to see. The trailer did not inspire much hope, but when I heard they were doing a redesign, I could not help but be curious.

Before I comment I should probably say that I have never played any AC game so I could be looking at this wrong, but from what I have heard, Ubi sell an XP booster which gives 50% more XP permanently upon purchase. The fact that people are making easy quests for XP grinding honestly sounds like a balancing issue (perhaps intentional for monetary purposes) which perhaps Ubi should fix before any 'sanctions' against players.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a real good deal if you don't already own it. I might buy A Hat in Time as I have heard good things.

3, 4 and 5 remaster on PS4 please before the spin offs. The only reason I have not yet brought 6 (and also Judgment which I think is releasing today), is that I don't want to miss out on such a huge chunk of the story. Bring it over already.

@GADG3Tx87 I will probably most likely invest in either a 4 or 6TB external soon, I am just waiting to find a good deal then I'll buy. I just find it crazy how much digital I have brought on PS4, though I blame that on the sales.

Part of me is worried about when the PS5 comes, because I know that will be backwards compatible, but I do not know if that extends to digital and if so, will moving hard-drives be seamless.

Quite a few games on sale that I want, but lack of hard drive space (need to upgrade my hard-drive, currently 2TB + Pro's 1TB), and the fact that most of these games I would like physical anyway, means I will mostly pass on this sale sadly. There are some really good deals here though.

I am hoping this means improved framerates for all the titles, and maybe a resolution bump.

The Yakuza games look amazing already so more power may be overkill. On a semi-related note, I wonder if we will find out if/when the remasters/ports for 3, 4 and 5 are coming to the West at E3?

At that price, I might finally bite.

@Nyne11Tyme Yeah, I think realistically I gave up on the idea of a third game ages ago, but it would be nice if the team could come back together once more. I would like Cross to be re-released if nothing else because it was never available in Europe outside emulation. Then I could play through that properly.

New entry in the Chrono Series, or perhaps simply making Cross and Trigger available would be nice.

I am assuming Royal will probably be an updated P5 with extra content whilst P5 S will probably be the fighting game that will inevitably happen (Persona 5 Stadium? i don't know). Either way, I am looking forward to it, and to inevitably playing through P5 again.

@Yogsoggoth That doesn't sound bitter and spiteful. Not at all. I get that it can be monotonous to hear the same thing like a broken record, but that doesn't mean you should wish for others not to be able to enjoy something.

@Jake3103 Yikes. That is disappointing to hear. I also sit reasonably close to my TV which is 49-inch 4K. Sounds like this may be a no-go. Good thing I prefer physical media to streaming. Thanks for getting back to me though.

@Jake3103 Just out of curiosity, I am about to upgrade to those speeds. Did you have a wired connection, or via Wi-Fi? I do not have too much use for PS Now, but I was thinking of a few select games that I would like to try with the service.

Going to play Paper Mario Colour Splash, but on PS4 I will be going back to Dragon Quest XI to see if I can get the last 5 or so missing trophies.
