The short hair for Cammy threw me off (not bad though). But otherwise, great design. Zangief looks like he got wider if that makes sense. Lily looks pretty fun to play.

Joined abour half-way through so missed the VR2 content. I basically saw a couple of fantasy type games (cool I guess) and the SF6 and RE4 trailers. Capcom definitely the MVP here.

I don't know if I am struggling to pay attention, but there was so much stuff on screen with Suicide Squad, I found it difficult to follow and get interested. There was a lot of visual flair, but the gameplay is definitely not for me.

Whilst I do intend on getting the platinums for the Yakuza games eventually, I have only managed to platinum Kiwami 2 so far. Yakuza 0 still has a few, but they are mostly missable ones which I can get when I repeat the playthough on Legend. The issue I am having is finishing off the completion list in Yakuza 0, specifically the batting minigame with earning 5 million yen. I will get it eventually...

There's like 4 games on PS5 out at the moment only that haven't been announced to go to PC. One of them is a remake. There are only three more with firm release dates so far, two of which are VR, and require a peripheral more expensive than the console you need to use it.

There is still no incentive to upgrade beyond perhaps some marginal improvements to your existing PS4 games.

Not got anything, but to be fair, I buy a lot of physical; if these codes are driven by data, perhaps they know it is a losing battle with me so not bothering. A pity really, there are a few indie games I wouldn't mind getting.

@NEStalgia Who knows at this point? Maybe there will be no price cut at all this gen. If so, I can't see myself getting one until the end of the generation or even at all if that is the case, but never say never I guess. Like I said though, I can wait.

I am aware of the concept of supply and demand. My original comment was a throw away; not meant to be a comment on cost-of-living and the cost of products in relation to or on market demand. I am aware it will not benefit Sony to drop the price; people will justify it somehow; people always do, and that is fine. Nonetheless, dropping the price is the next thing we can optimistically expect.

Maybe now they can start looking at lowering the price? Darn thing is more expensive now than it was at launch. I would ideally like one for the new Yakuza games, but if need be, will just play on PS4 instead.

Brought both on Switch. I already played through P4G on my Vita, and I did own P3P but couldn't get into it for whatever reason. After playing P3P for 6 hours, happy to say I am gelling with it a lot better this time. I will probably buy on PS4 eventually in a sale or whatever so i can do trophy playthroughs.

Still looking forward to playing this, but with the DLC announcement, waiting until the PS5 is cheaper to buy with a complete edition. Good to hear it doing well though, first was pretty good; also, Faro is a ****.

Not played any of the games on the list so...

I was waiting for this prior to buying the game since I brought the first one as the complete edition. Now, the game goes on the backburner for another few years until the PS5 gets cheaper. Hopefully any bugs will be polished out by then.

Never really paid attention to Stars, so I saw free currency in the article, got excited... then realised that unless you have PS Plus, your rewards are limited to digital collectables with the exception of one campaign that gives you a whole 50 points. Feels designed for those who embrace the digital future.

@darkswabber The RGG Studio head whose name escapes me right now mentioned during the livestream that they wanted to add characters from 0, 6, and 7 since the original had characters from 1-5. I know from the trailer we now have the 3 Dojima lieutenants from 0, with Joon-Gi Han and Adachi plus a few others I may have missed. No Ichiban curiously, unless they are saving him for later.

Regarding the price rise; Sony can do what they want; they evidently don't care about the negative reaction; and you can hardly expect consumers to care about Sony's finances when their own is clearly limited. If Sony can still sell PS5s then good for them. Conversely, should they find that interest has dropped and by extent sales, then they can deal with it. Business is business, right? You win some, you lose some.

My advice to people who want to buy the PS5 but disagree with the increase of price in principal, is to hold-off buying; Sony will get the message eventually.

Hey Sony, I don't think this is how it is meant to work. If anything, they should be getting cheaper.

Then again, maybe it is part of a push towards PC; every price rise puts it closer to a decent PC's cost.

Agreed. I feel like Atlus would have done themselves a huge favour if they just did a performance patch for Royal on PS5 rather than do a full re-release at full price (although I wonder if there will be a unique trophy list, so you can get a third-platinum from P5 if you really wanted).

I thought I heard something about this being controversial; I remember reading these articles about the game published here, although curiously they have disappeared rather quick like. Totally not suspicious at all, or bad optics.

...which you should probably just buy for the charming price of £16, rather than wait for a £70 release with slightly prettier visuals.

I'll be honest, I just read it as marketing since they are coming to Gamepass and Microsoft announcing this in the fancy-pants show, rather than native versions being built specifically for next gen, hence PS4 only for P3 and P4 as they will be playable on PS5 via bc anyway. To be fair, the graphic is from Atlus rather than Microsoft, but wouldn't surprise me if that is the case. The graphic itself has confused many people since P4G doesn't say Steam, making people who are unaware think it is not coming; they don't realise that Steam already has P4G.

But then again, I am still holding out for Switch versions.

Now on-topic. Cool for the Switch. I still feel like the library leaves a lot to be desired as it is mostly Pokemon and Wii U ports from my perspective that makes it stand, but quite a few games have come out on it which I can easily recommend; Metroid Dread being the latest.

Don't suppose online can be free all the time now can it?

Yeah, I didn't think so. I don't know, you always supposed to be grateful for the free weekends, but realistically, because of how last minute they are announced, it is a pain to take advantage off as you somehow have to make room not only in your schedule, but in your friends as well for the limited time so you can actually play online together. Sure you can play with randoms, but where is the fun in that?

My relationship with trophies is wierd. I don't see the point in going for easy "30 minute" platinums as they feel worthless to me. I also don't feel like going for platinums for some games as I feel like the requirements are out of my skill range or they are too many bloat trophies with arbitrary requirements.

That said, when I feel like going for a platinum, I will binge the game until I have the platinum, or am very close to it. Each platinum I have, whether easy or hard is for a game which had the greatest impacts on me for one reason or another. Even on games where I am very close to getting the platinum, I may start a new game, but I guarantee you; I will be back to finish the job... looking at you Yakuza 0, with your ******* dumb batting cage completion list task of winning 5 million yen.

Just going to echo above comments that I am more than happy for SMT to come to other platforms as soon as mainline Persona games come to Nintendo platforms. It is only fair. =)
