Re: Helldivers 2 Is Now Comfortably Sony's Biggest Ever PC Launch

@Paleblood Yeah they should definitely stick with that approach because it gives them a good idea of what they are getting into instead of just jumping in head first like they did with Bungie, although there's still time for the Bungie acquisition to pay off. Hopefully Marathon is a hit and the destiny expansion goes down well.

@UltimateOtaku91 Also I think this is Sony's second collaboration with Arrowhead, the first obviously being Helldivers 1 and as we know Sony likes to build a partnership first before they acquire studios so I wouldn't be surprised if they did try and buy them.

If Stellar Blade is a hit as well I wouldn't be surprised if Sony tried to buy Shift Up.

@UltimateOtaku91 It's not made by 1st party but Concord will be day & date as well. It is part of Sony's new strategy of live service games day & date to PlayStation and PC because live service games require big communities to thrive.

I don't see anything wrong with it because singleplayer system sellers won't be day and date, they are reserved to attract people onto Sony's platform.

@trev666 You mean the remaster cost $39 million? There's no need to lie to try and make your point, and TLOU 2 cost $220 million and Ghost cost $60 million and they both released around the same time. Sure they are getting more expensive but that doesn't mean they can't make great games still even if Sony lowers the budget a little from time to time for some games.

Re: Rumour: Even More Xbox Exclusives Coming to PS5 Than Already Reported

@IOI Yeah when Sony wasn't doing well the CEO and a couple of top executives slashed their own wages by 50% and waived their annual bonus to avoid mass layoffs. The CEO said the workforce are the key to making PlayStation a success so they are going to push forward, now PlayStation is Sony's most successful division so it paid off.

Microsoft on the other hand are a software company first and foremost and software is their speciality, they also have much more lucrative divisions and are obsessed with exponential growth, sure Sony obviously wants to grow as well but Microsoft shareholders are obviously used to much bigger returns, plus I doubt Satya would willingly take a pay cut and waive his bonus.
Edit: Actually I just remembered Satya actually had GamePass targets removed from his bonus because it was failing to hit them so he was getting less money. He gets about a $50 million dollar bonus annually by the way.
