Re: PS5 Fans Beg Sony for a More Fulfilling Livestream in the Aftermath of Xbox Show

MrMagic

@Sanquine Well that's obviously because Sony's show was just a State of play so it isn't really a fair comparison anyway.

@get2sammyb Sure they should put on a showcase in September but there definitely isn't a shortage of games like some people try to lead people to believe.

I suppose the sooner the better for people who need content for their articles though.

Re: Many More PS5, PS4 Games from China on the Way

MrMagic

Well I'm glad they are tapping into China because I find Chinese mythology and folklore interesting.

I'm definitely interested in Daba - Land of the water scar, Phantom blade zero, Lost soul aside and of course Black myth wukong.

Re: Sony Plans to Convert PC Gamers Through the Power of PlayStation

MrMagic

That's right Sony give them a Bloodborne remaster and tell them if they want Bloodborne 2 they need to buy the PS6.

Seriously though people say but console prices are going up but they ignore the fact PC prices are going up as well when people have even less disposable income. It's definitely worth a try to entice some players into their ecosystem, the latest findings from ESA said that Gen Z are likely to choose console over PC anyway.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Live-Action Trailer Revealed

MrMagic

@PuppetMaster Probably just marketing speak from Sony because Returnal is more like a really high quality AA game. It obviously had a small budget and definitely had a small Dev team at the time.

Well Sony obviously thought it was successful enough to buy them and increase their Dev team and budget for their next game.

Re: PS5 Sales Trend Ahead of PS4 in US, Leads Console Market By 'Significant Margin'

MrMagic

@__jamiie - "I really don't understand how any PlayStation fans consider selling more hardware a success in this day and age."

Probably because it prevents the death of the console. Xbox is all the proof you need of that.

Let's say they licence the Xbox name to PC manufacturers like you're suggesting but they'll obviously still just be PC's with an Xbox name slapped on. No more subsidising and Steam will just be the de facto storefront like on PC and Publishers will no longer need to make an Xbox version of their games, I mean why would they when they'll just be PC's.

I mean how crazy do you have to be to not realise Xbox consoles are actually just completely dead at that point lmao.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Tops an Impressive 3 Million Sales

MrMagic

@jolteon23 That $50 million estimate is just a guess from someone on Reddit but they actually have no clue how much it cost. $50 million seems really low and Dragons Dogma apparently took 5 years to develop while FF7 Rebirth only took 3 years.
