Re: You Should Get 'Comfortable' with Not Owning Your Games, Suggests Ubisoft Exec

Nakatomi_Uk

@Miketeevee76 My girlfriend wanted me to get rid of my boy ray collection I told her to well anyway.... But I'm still collecting them because I told her I'm not going to subscribe to multiple streaming services that still remove films every month and I pay £10+ per month. When I can just pop in a disc any time I want for a film I love and only pay whatever it costs for the blu ray

Re: You Should Get 'Comfortable' with Not Owning Your Games, Suggests Ubisoft Exec

Nakatomi_Uk

I've kept my PS3 and 360 but recently got a PS2 for like £10 in great condition as well to play some games that I can't and have never been remastered.

SSX Tricky
Mercenaries 1
Underground 1 and 2

Got a PS5 at Christmas and I'm still going to collect the old games on disc for my PS3 still and 360. PS5 I think will be my last console I think I do game on PC and use Steam mostly because they've hardly removed any games from what I know of. But even though you can get quite a few classics on GOG the console versions to those games are better.

As for Ubisoft I vowed never to buy any new games from them since Wildlands came out. I broke that promise with the AC Ezio Collection because those were the best AC games personally but I've never bought a new game from them since Wildlands

Re: UK's GAME Stores to Stop Accepting Trade-Ins from Next Month

Nakatomi_Uk

Game wasn't as big for nearly 2 decades and then Mike Ashley bought them out who used to own Newcastle UTD. When the likes of electronics boutique went and then Game bought out Game station (they might have been a local gaming shop near me) it was the decline of the gaming shop.

Grainger Games (maybe another local owned gaming shop) also went bust they overfilled on tat like FunkoPops and other stuff which was way over priced.

CeX will now own the 2nd market but they are even starting to raise prices but Game and CEX used to each others website to compares trade prices and then eBay.

Now's the good time to be buying those classics in disc if your interested what I'm doing now especially for PS3, since the store has nothing left on it and I expect Sony to kill that console once and for all and close its store down in 2024

Re: Game of the Year: #8 - Dead Space

Nakatomi_Uk

I played this on PC and it's a stutterfest it really is and they never fixed it, even under FSR2 Quality/Balanced it would stutter between areas since it's now a constant level no loading. They never fixed it either gave it one patch to fix the memory leak in Feb 2023 and that's it moved on to that Iron Man Game they are supposedly on

Re: Interest in Destiny 2 Reportedly at an All-Time Low

Nakatomi_Uk

I pulled out the moment they started sunsetting old content, to me that didn't make sense for new players to then end up reading what happened via lore.

The in game lore was already annoying to have to read it in the first game anyway, I bought Forsaken cheap on PS4 but by the time I did it was near the end for new content to come out and Forsaken was then sunsetted to the vault and I was done with it.

I think buying Bungie has to be one of the worst decisions they have ever done especially for the price it was way over, most likely based on Bungies projections

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Really Is Just DLC, Says Its Trophy List

Nakatomi_Uk

I stopped playing COD at the end of MW2 on PS3 I did play the remaster on PS4 when it came to PS Plus years ago but I haven't had a sub for years. Though I am now collecting PS3 games and just got COD Black ops 1 and Ghosts for £1 for both on PS3 the opened up Ghosts and MW 1 disc on PS3 fell out the manual so pretty happy to play the campaigns as I've never played BO1 or Ghosts

Re: Destiny 2 Fans Demand Refunds for Next DLC After Bungie Layoffs

Nakatomi_Uk

One YouTube user who is a big streamer of the game believes that D2 was there to help fund Marathon but because the 45% downturn has happened they delayed it. He believes marathon will be Bungies new baby and D2 will be there to fill the wallet whatever is going to happen it's not good for Bungie.

Since they are owned by Sony now could they be merged within if things carry on

Re: New PS1 Classics Can Be Bought Off the PS Store

Nakatomi_Uk

I just booted up my PS4 for the first time in months if not a year, and I can't believe that they are gone and you have to subscribe to get the classics.

Yet I booted my PS3 up last week and bought Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver for PS1 for like £4, was even going to get MGS4 for it as well. Think I'll look into the disc versions for PS1/3 classics from now on Im not subbing to online I'm no even interested in online play anymore

Re: Ubisoft+ Is Coming to PS5, PS4, with 50 Classics Free for PS Plus Extra, Premium By the End of the Year

Nakatomi_Uk

The issue on PC with Uplay+ is even though your signed into Uplay Connect to play your purchases games. For classic titles and I don't just mean FarCry 1 and 2 era The Division which isn't as old as those 2 examples you have to enter your password every time you want to start the game and for some games it can be twice just to get it started.

When questioned on their official forum they didn't really give a valid reason and have no plans to turn it off. Luckily you won't need that for consoles

Re: PS Plus Premium Brings PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP Games to PS5, PS4

Nakatomi_Uk

For it too work they are going to have the same library across each region if they can due to licenses because it was one thing that was bad about PSN Store US vs UK the US had far more PS2 classics than Uk and thats because of licenses.

Which in this day and age for older content that is PS1/2 licenses should be stripped back, allow that content to thrive and let gamers of today play some classics

Re: Bungie Dates Destiny 2: The Witch Queen DLC Reveal for 24th August

Nakatomi_Uk

@Agramonte I migrated over from B.Net to Steam and you don't lose any progress like weapons armour and items etc, but what they did do was set everyone to 750 light at the time and if you where in some sort of story or certain point in a series of missions. Your progress was reset and they made it stupid to find were to start if you wanted to restart for lore etx,

I stopped playing for a while a month after the move came back about 5 months later, and I've no idea what to do Destiny is a game if you don't keep playing regular you can lose track. But all my friends have moved on so I couldn't join up and get help etc

Re: GTA Online Cycling Out Jobs to Make Room for Further Updates

Nakatomi_Uk

Do their doing a Destiny 2 then? Seems for live service games/modes this will be the norm. If that's the case as with Destiny buying content for it to have a limited time before they store it away and release new is a way for you to be forced to buy it

Destiny does this if since it's a game you can't really walk away from and come back because many people just don't know what To do and have their light increased to match. Yet if you don't buy you can be locked out as new stuff requires new content the way the ganing world if for live service games it sucks but it is business to stay a float.

Re: Mini Review: Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX (PS4) - Who Thought This Game Needed a Remake?

Nakatomi_Uk

Got it for my switch looks amazing does the remake and to go back to the original at the click of a button with the statues is great. 4/10 sorry just because it stays true to the original that's what makes it great Wonderboy 3 dragons Trap remake stayed true to the original even with the game save codes as well.

The game in the Sega Master System II was hard so was a lot of Master System games back then. For me personally I've give it a 7/10 yes it's difficult and has frustrating points but for the work they have done staying true to the original that's a good thing in my book

Re: Talking Point: Did Sony Lie About PS5?

Nakatomi_Uk

Not they didn't lie it's business when you have a pandemic that's crippled the infrastructure of TSMC, IBM making chips who also make chips for motor industry, for hospitals etc and the fact that they release a console during one. Means that you can't buy a next gen console or pc part for that matter it's harder to get anything right now. PS5 was due and you either get it out now while you can make consoles or don't and wait 2 more years at best to have chips made for a steady flow of consoles.

Having games come to PS4 a console that may be at its limit but it's in a lot of households more than PS5, so sell software by the millions limit it to the amount of PS5s out there do the math it's not rocket science

Re: Sony's Targeting More Than 50 Per Cent Market Share with PS5

Nakatomi_Uk

Can someone explain to me how please TSMC the people who build processors and Graphics Chips have said even with IBM saying the same thing. They don't see the chip shortage coming to the norm around 2022 into 2023, they still have to build new fabs to prevent it happening again. They build chips for Intel (not as much as AMD) and they also do mobile chips for Apple.

The automotive industry is lagging and well as hospitals and other things, can't see it happening until end of 2022 they owning 50% of the market. But that depends on what Xbox can release now Bethesda are under there wing

Re: Days Gone Refuels with Nearly Half an Hour of PC Gameplay

Nakatomi_Uk

@Denni5m @Denni5m Oh I built it for 60fps 1920x1080p gaming because last year prices shot up to crazy levels for the 3800X and 5700XT. But the amount of issues I've read about the 5700XT I'm glad I didn't bother with it.

Was going to get a series 6000 card but fat chance in that I won't be upgrading till 2023 when the chip shortage should be back to norm. But by then series 7000 for AMD and 4000 for Nvidia may probably be out by then as demand for better tech will be high

Re: Soon, You Won't Be Able to Buy These Awesome PS1 Games

Nakatomi_Uk

@Dange I told my girlfriend I'm doing the same as soon as the 2nd hand shop open I'm going on a PS3 spending spree, I still have games I want to play on that system. But knowing Sony online will be completely taking off and then you won't be able to sync trophies or get patches

Re: Soon, You Won't Be Able to Buy These Awesome PS1 Games

Nakatomi_Uk

Thank God I kept my PS3

Ever since Jim Ryan took over he's tried to push away from backwards compatibility he refused to answer a lot before PS5 was launched. Then stated why would you want to play an old game, what he doesn't seem to realise is history and nostalgia and the chances of games disappearing for ever because some will physically because there won't be that many copies left due to over play/thrown out/lost etc

Microsoft have won on this feature but I can't see them also continuing to support original Xbox soon

Re: Fallout 76 Unlocks the Vault with 2021 Content Roadmap

Nakatomi_Uk

@huntbearpig Fallout 76 is a Fallout 4 add on because it uses assets from that game, one hacker managed to hack the Big Blimp from Brotherhood to Steel in Fallout 4 and it was in everyone's game. Until Bethesda patched it out it was a joke when it came out and still is no matter what content they add to it.

It is and always be Besthesdas Destiny clone to keep money coming in with a live service game
