The Push Square scoring system is fair enough that I find a lot of use in it. For games I don't really care much about, I can quickly check if it's even worth reading (5+). Otherwise, I wouldn't even both to click/read. There have been a few games that scored much higher than I expected, so I read the review, got the game, and loved it.
I think the 'problem' with many other site scores is they are essentially 1-7 = bad. 8-9 good. 10 = 'paid' review.
@IKILLUM1NATI I'd agree that those are all good games, but Skyrim VR is certainly an amazing VR game and well deserving of the #1 spot in my opinion. The only fault I can find with Skyrim VR is the sound design.
I'm sure the next iteration of PSVR will have much better tracking and peripherals. The PS4 wasn't really ready VR. It's amazing what they've been able to do with it considering the limitations. I'd still take a PSVR over any other VR ecosystem.
Skyrim VR (to me) still feels like one of the only games that fully embraced the platform. RE7 is another great example.
There are plenty of other fantastic games, but for me, there's almost always a "..but" involved. The Persistence is great... but the controls are terrible for VR. GT Sport is amazing fun... but a ton of content is locked out of the VR modes. Job Simulator is funny.. but it's charm only lasts a couple hours.
10 years sounds like a long time, but I'm not so sure we'll have the infrastructure to do seamless game streaming in 10 years (at least not in the USA).
Average speeds have only gone from about 5mpbs to 19mbps, and that's just at the consumer level. There are issues at the data center layer as well. Even with my fiber-to-home gigabit connection, I'm not getting good streaming experiences with PS Now. It's still full of latency and lag making many games unplayable.
I still expect to own a console in 10 years, I still expect to own a home computer/laptop in 10 years, and I also expect the internet to be a much worse place in 10 years if the current FCC trends continue.
Anyone can say whatever they want, but MGS3 is easily the best. MGS1 was groundbreaking and amazing for it's time, but I still think MGS3 is easily the strongest in the series. It's one of the best games ever made.
Ugh, I'm traveling for business for another week and a half. Depending on the deco slots, this set might have a lot of best in slots. I'll have to grind out some armor spheres too though...
Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Considering how fast credits get earned (and how enjoyable they are to earn), I wouldn't ever spend real money on them, but understand that some people are very limited on time.
It's a great example of a policy that does no harm, but only good.
I wish they either 1. Fixed the slow down or 2. allowed us to turn on/off the slow down. No reason my megamans should be tanking framerates on a PS4 Pro.
It certainly looked interesting when I watched Game Grumps play it. It had VR support on PC, so I'd hope for PSVR support as well.. that would make it a no brainer!
It's a game I come back to every year or so.. It's truly a hidden gem in the PS4 library. Easily one of the top 10. My only issue is it's sooooo hard to get back into it. It's mmo levels of complexity sometimes.
Dang, how many copies of Heavy Rain am I going to have... (just 1 because I can only own 1 digital copy, but this would be the 3rd time I've gotten it for "free")
Dang I love this game. It's so intense/exciting. I don't think I'll ever hit stage 100 though. My best on PSP was in the 50s I think? I think it's been over 10 years ..........
I would still like to know definitively whether or not the decision to the lock the account was made by Epic of Sony. All indications would seem to point at this being Epic's decision.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, from a business prospective cross platform is always going to hurt the company on top the most.
Personally, I believe it should be up to the developer/host to decide whether or not crossplay is allowed. It is ultimately their time and money to enable these features. This is also why I think the account lock is an Epic issue and not a Sony issue too.
@glassmusic they were open to it longer than they've been against it. When they were the underdog, they loved the idea, but now that they are on top, it is seen as something that will hurt business (because it would likely hurt them). Microsoft was the same way last generation.
I don't like most CoD, but I did enjoy BO3. The coop campaign is pretty fun on realistic difficulty. Not sure it's worth the 100gb of downloads, but there are worse ways to spend your $0.00.
This seems more like an Epic issue? Even if Sony doesn't allow crossplatform play, Epic should still be able to allow the login from that account (even if it doesn't mean anything carries over). Warframe doesn't have crossplay, but you can still use the same DE account on both platforms (with different saves on each).
Because of the way that error is worded, it seems a little passive aggressive on Epic's part. It's very possibly Sony and Epic have some sort of contract that prevents them from allowing it, but that seems unlikely (and even if that's the case, it's Epic's fault for accepting/allowing that).
I'm not horribly interested in seeing more of these games until they are out. I'm already sold on most of them. Personally, I'd rather just see new stuff, even if that means a way shorter show.
Price, dpad, and stick locations (in that order) ruins this for me. Just put paddles on the DS4 and it will be perfect........ no need for this nonsense
Maybe I'm the minority but physical portable games are terrible compared to digital anyways. Swapping cards is a huge pain. I get the Vita memory cards are tiny and expensive, but still...
I almost always buy digital. I'm lazy. I also like the idea that if a game is re-released on PS5 (or any other future console), I might also get a copy for that system for free by already owning a digital copy of the ps3/ps4/vita version.
The game starts pretty slow, but it was really worth sticking with. It's one of the more memorable games I've played on the PS3. I'd like to go back and re-play it in the new 'chronological' mode though. I'm wondering how different an experience that will be.
I recommend playing completely solo if possible, but if you have someone to play start to finish with, it's worth checking out the coop mode.

Arch Tempered Nergi please! Or it would be extra spooky if they released Nargacuga then

You can't ignore those downgrades man.
Re: Review: Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (PS4)
What about the soundtrack though? Naruto had some great tunes, but the previous game didn't use any of the awesome music bums me out.
Re: Destiny 2 PS4 Patch 1.24 Out Now Ahead of Forsaken Launch
Destiny 1 was my most disappointing game of all time (by miles). So far though, I'm enjoying 2 quite a bit.
Perhaps it's because I got 2 for free, while I paid $60 for the demo in 1.
Re: PlayStation Plus September 2018 Games Announced
Just a quick honest question: is base Destiny 2 as useless as base Destiny 1 was after the first expansion?
Re: Feature: The Promising PS4 Games of September 2018
Hopefully EDF5.

Re: Xbox Gamers Are More Hardcore Than PlayStation, Says Microsoft
I would wonder if the FPS/Sports game market is stronger on team green.
All in all, until Microsoft cares about the games, I don't care about their Xbox division.

Re: No Publishers Are Interested in FuturLab's Sequel to Velocity 2X
I feel like both Velocity games were way overrated by a vocal minority. Overall, they were just decent games but nothing special..
Passive aggressive crap on Twitter isn't the solution to their problem.

Unrelated, but I hope they eventually add a version of the Insect Glaive without all the bug mechanics.
