Re: Our Survey Says! Sorry, Gaming Isn't Good for You After All

RRhapido

Any game not capitalizing on my basic instincts to play mindlessly for hours is a game I'm ready to lose myself in, to mention death stranding for example, I want my video games to be like those powerful psychedelic experiences, the likes that open up a whole new dimension of perception to your life.

Re: Mini Review: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PS5) - A Marginal Upgrade on Backwards Compatibility

RRhapido

@Northern_munkey The game being janky has a different meaning, it's like the character models struggle to find their place in the physical plane of the game, I pushed a mini boss off a ledge, but he didn't fall to his death until he got up on EMPTY SPACE, just like those episodes of Coyote and the Road Runner where the Coyote doesn't fall from a cliff until he realizes that there's actually no ground below his feet.. And in a Star Wars context, it's just damn broken.

Re: Returnal's Save System Still Being Investigated, New Content in the Works

RRhapido

I am actually leveling up all my weapons to their maximum traits, it is so fun, despite the crashes, sound issues, and some frame rate drops here and there ( some unlocked weapon traits can really make the game struggle to keep up ). This game could use more enemies and I'm so excited the devs are working on more content, so so cool.

Re: Housemarque Acknowledges Request for Mid-Run Saves in Returnal

I just couldn't really believe I had to put the PS5 on rest mode until the next day, but I did it because I still had to experience my first death after nearly 4 hours of relaxed play ( exploring, reading items descriptions, figuring out lore, pondering on stuff, or just admiring the scenery )

@rachetmarvel Listening to a good music will make you feel good but so does smoking crack, everyone knows crack is bad for you, crack users won't say the same. You'll remember a meal if you had a good one, Battle Royales are just the fast food chain equivalent, repetitive quick fix to mask the bad and mostly unsatifying taste.

Re: This Is What Fortnite Will Look Like on PS5

There are parents who actually sued them because in their opinion this game was designed to psychologically hook the casual player, Fortnite was not made by funny people I'm positive, it's just bad hormones seeping through your brain making you think you're having a good time.

Re: Hands On: The Last of Us 2's Generous Post-Release Patch Adds Fun, Frivolities, and Permadeath

RRhapido

Like seriously? I've gone through some nasty depression after beating this game on hard, this is not worth a replay at all once you've experienced the story beats for the first time, watching people speedrun it would be way more enjoyable. I mean yeah why not a permadeath mode, just to remind you that Joel is indeed dead and gone, even if you saw him on the trailers, not one time, but twice.

Re: No, the PS5 DualSense Controller Doesn't Have Buttons on the Back

RRhapido

Back buttons would have been one of the best additions, I don't know, like it should be intuitive by now, back buttons are really helpful, haptic feedback? Nah, the real issue here is how my - control - over the controller would be enhanced, I have five fingers on each hand and I'd like to use them fully.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Could Have Been Open World

RRhapido

I loved how they made bushy corners and areas so you instinctively know you can't go in or over there. But I also didn't like how many story events felt far too fortuitous - how key characters met for example - thus making it as linear of an experience as it could be. Still 7/10 Great stealth/action game.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Director Discusses Online Vitriol

RRhapido

Actually here's the thing bothering me the most in this sequel, killing off A.I was never supposed to feel real, it can never feel real if you're the one committing the killing, it's just nonsensical, to kill an enemy A.I is supposed to be metaphorical, I can't feel for someone that isn't real if I'm personally involved, who thought that was a good idea? I remember Halley Gross - who is the co-writer for tlou2 - saying that they wanted us to feel how our choices affected the story, never through the gameplay did I feel I was making any deliberate choice. But again, visuals huh? That all that matters now? Having good looking assets thrown at our face just like every bloater I molotoved? Come on! The first game shouldn't be associated with this sequel, never in my life did I think Joel was actually killing all these people, A METAPHOR PEOPLE, i'll keep those other sort of feelings for the real life we're living in.

Re: Poll: Predict The Last of Us 2 Review Scores

RRhapido

@naruball Stevivor's Death Stranding review is the perfect example, I read the review before I played the game. That guy gave it a 3.5 score, I thought it must've had some sense in it first but now that I've actually played the game, it's my favorite, 10/10 all the way and back.

Re: Fan Noise Shouldn't Be a Problem for PS5

RRhapido

@Chryssy75 You'll have to remove the power supply to access the heatsink, there are two screw on the back of the console holding the power supply unit in place, so you'll need to remove both top and bottom covers. Be careful also when removing the plug of the power supply for the motherboard, use needle-nose pliers. Search on Youtube for more video tutorials. The fan can't be removed unless you disassemble the whole console. Also, remember to hold the fan with your fingers when you blow air through the heatsink, letting it freely spin could damage its internal components, which was what happened to me.
