Re: Best PS4 Horror Games

ScottyG

Still have PT installed after all these years. I remember my best friend and I stayed up until like 2 a.m. to try and beat it. Got the s*** scared out of us the first time we died. I just realized I was in college when that released so it must have been 2015 or early 2016.

Re: PS5 Custom Faceplates Are Already Available to Pre-Order

ScottyG

They do look great but I have no problem with waiting for reviews on them; also for some info from Sony, or a developer, on if they plan to release official ones. I want to know if these off-brand ones snap to the console in a satisfying way and how the finish is on them.

The red looks great though and if there's no word from Sony by mid January i'll definitely look into them!

Re: Bloodborne Fan Makes 60 Frames-Per-Second Patch, Hopes Sony Releases PS5 Update

@Arnna

I think this is more or less an updated version of that article since the creator of the mod came out this weekend and said he would release the "patch" to the public if Sony themselves did not.

And I am definitely on the wagon of no more remasters, remakes are ok for older games, but if Sony does choose to "remaster" this PLEASE make it an easy entry point on price. Tacking it on to another game and charging $20 won't sit well with anyone (although I thought more people would've said the same about SM PS4 which is even younger than BB).

Re: Rockstar Acquires Ruffian Games, Rebrands Rockstar Dundee

I'm still pretty disappointed RDR2 never saw something like the "Undead Nightmare" RDR1 got. Undead Nightmare was one of my favorite experiences on the X360.

Hunting down Bigfoot and el chupacabra while taming a unicorn (with loads of zombies to boot)? Yes please.

Actually DLC in general was great around that time. Far Cry: Blood Dragon was also awesome as was the "Artorias of the Abyss" DLC for Dark Souls.

Good times.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Promotes 'Great' PS5 Support at Launch

ScottyG

It's gonna be a crazy launch lol. Demon's Souls and Black Ops for the first week, CP2077 the next week, not to mention the ridiculous amount of PS4 games I've amassed over the past 5 months to play on PS5. I feel like the library I'll have to start this launch will last me easily for over a year.

I'm hoping FFXVI and RE: Village release in 2021 as well as PSVR2 but we'll see!

Re: Western Digital Reveals First PS5 Compatible SSD

ScottyG

Luckily the 7-8 games I'll have installed for the first year or so won't take up the entire 664 GB of usable space. Hopefully.

Actually now that I think about it I better make a list of install sizes to be better prepared. You know what I'll just hold off on this post and get back with all the sizes (in order of importance to me):

Demon's Souls - 66 GB
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ~ 100 GB
Cyberpunk 2077 - 70 GB
God of War - 44 GB
Spiderman (PS4) - 51 GB
Until Dawn - 15 GB (read varying numbers)
Borderlands 3 - 38 GB
Horizon Zero Dawn - 48 GB

total = 432

So plenty of rooms for all the games I plan on playing in the first year or so. I'm sure there will be plenty of others I get but it looks like I'll still have a couple hundred gigs to work with before I have to upgrade!

Re: PS5 Teardown Video Gets Up Close and Personal with the Console

ScottyG

That'd be so sweet to see faceplates in the style of the "clear" plastic that was used for some N64 and GBA models. Seeing a purple or seafoam-green version of those faceplates would really knock my socks off!

or a matte grey style faceplate like the PSX/1 had. with the old logo of course

Re: New PS5 Features Discovered in PS Store's Source Code

@LiamCroft

I agree. Criticism has it's place in some articles comments sections but certainly not EVERY article that relates to Sony. Non-stop bashing has driven me away from other sites in the past...

Anyways here's hoping we get a full blown preview next week similar to what the XSX got this week.

Re: Demon's Souls PS5 Details Digital Deluxe Edition

ScottyG

@get2sammyb

This is not normal for this series. No deluxe or digital edition has ever given the player armor/weapons/souls. I'm not sure a one size fits all attitude is the right approach for Sony.

Also the "if you don't want it don't buy it" argument doesn't work well for pay-to-win items. Maybe that's ok for cosmetics, but not for items that give an obvious advantage to players who buy them.

I'm still getting this game because it looks great, but man Sony is engaging in some bad practices lately.
