@get2sammyb Why am I reading this repeatedly? DualSense has a lightbar around the touchpad and PSVR2 features inside out tracking. Since the beginning it was rumoured that the new position of the lightbar could be cause of possible inside out tracking. Same as the original DS4 lightbar was there because of PSVR, way before it got announced. So, IF Sony manages to translate the old tracking system to work with the new HMD is still a question. But it can't be outright dismissed. The truth will be ofc in the pudding
@Jayofmaya Right? 17 doesn't make sense. Remake is ok, cause it's an reimagination of the game/movie tie-in, not just visuals. Before the Nexus for smartphones can't be counted and HD Trilogy? Really? Secret Agent Clank and Deadlocked are up for discussion.
@get2sammyb Avalanche Software Community manager (@FinchStrife) retweeted that Wizarding World post, noting 2022 as well. Can't get a better confirmation than that.
Nah, I worked at GAME and people want a direct card/code for a service. Once you explain they can have it through wallet top up, the just get so confused.
Doesn't seem as a streamlining to me.
The Last Guardian may run unpatched at 60FPS, but only for limited time! Quite early in the game there's a game breaking bug on PS5.. even with reddit threads couldn't worked my way around so 30FPS only guys.
@Deadlyblack I really wonder how the 3D audio implementation to 5.1 should sound like. For Stereo TV it's quite straightforward - trying to imitate 5.1 setup. What will it do when set for 5.1 - imitate 7.1 or atmos? Would love to read some specs of this!
Be aware that this is the developer of Asura's Wrath, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series and others. They have good experience to nail this so let's keep those fingers crossed!
Even though The Dark Pictures aren't as good as Until Dawn, there still very much are no other games like this, so I'm thankful. Plus it still counts as a great couch "co-op".
@ShogunRok Except several endings, I think it’s very much worth to mention there’s a brand new Ending E (exclusive to this remaster)! I won’t spoil anything here, but it’s a real treat!
I was very excited when I saw this port on PS Store labeled coming soon many months go, but after reading the UploadVR review (supposed to be a bad VR port), I’ll probably pass.
Game Help is a wonderful feature I’ve used many times in Sackboy or Bugsnax. Hopefully it will be implemented well, not as in case of Maquette unfortunately.
@PhhhCough Controllers have confirmed haptics and adaptive triggers. Sony has also patented haptic feedback feature for its headset to fight motion sickness, but no official words yeah.
@winnipegborn1984 Exactly! Funnily enough, Machinarium is a Czech game, this one is from our neighbours from Slovakia. Wouldn’t be surprised if there is some connection between those two regarding the developers.
I own the original PS Move Charging station (yaaay for me), but I own the first iteration of VR as well and even though I’m handy with cable management, I always hate to reconnect my cables because of HDR, even though it’s a matter of 30 seconds.
I think the problem is that I’ve done it SO many times over the yeas that I rather pick a 2D game in the end.
@Jaz007 Original price for the HMD was £349 without any controllers. I said £449 with controllers is the lowest possibility unless they sell it with a loss. Don’t think there will be an option without controllers this time.
I really can’t imagine it being the same price as the first one with such a big upgrade.
PSVR was market leader even without a price drop. At launch it was still the cheapest headset by a big margin and even with the console was quite cheap compared to pc set.
Ofc we can only guess until we get some proper technical specifications of the HMD.
I rather stay realistic regarding pricing. I’ll be more than glad to be wrong!
@Rob_230 £299?Oculus Quest is more or lese slightly better standalone PSVR. PSVR2 will be definitely way better, on par or near the Index quality I believe, Since Sony can’t much do as many iterations as PC manufacturers can, since they need a simple product for the consumers. Even the controllers will be better than on quest given the haptics, triggers and finger tracking. Add to it that there’s quite high possibility that even the headset will have haptic feedback to fight motion sickness (already patented) so another cost, etc. Original PSVR was sold at the same price as PS4 on its Day 1. I believe it’ll be similar again and we’d be very lucky to have £449 price tag with controllers included. Maybe even that is too optimistic.
@ShogunRok I have to agree with Journey. That’s such a masterpiece for me that I have replayed it at least 40 times since it’s original release and I still get goosebump in the big finale.
@RobN Wonderful game, but I do agree that activity cards weren’t of much help a few times, since they already thought I’m past some puzzles and were hinting about the next one or the other part into which I haven’t got yet.
Hate to say this but this patent is on the internet already for many months… Nevertheless the prototype video of hand tracking is superb. These controllers seems quite a big game even compared to current pc ones.
@Northern_munkey I know it can’t be compared. Just a feeble shoutout to show how good Godfall now can look in comparison in art, tech and direction aspects at the very least. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Godfall.
Outriders is so clunky in terms of tech aspects but the combat was quite well!
I hope the game can redeem itself. After receiving all this new feedback, they should delay it.
This is really about expectations. This episode was supposed to show “new updates and deep dives for 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5, including new game announcements and updates on some of the third-party and indie titles you last saw in June’s PS5 showcase.”
I think that was a pretty accurate description - why the hell someone was awaiting something else?
I know people wanna be optimistic but I really don’t get it this time, this whole madness about it being so bad and something else (read as no Horizon and GoW = they’d hype it lot more obviously if those should show up).
Crowd is just blindly starving for some news news I suppose 🤷♂️
Sounds better than we could’ve ask for! Already preorder the game and can’t wait :3 Super Stardust and Resogun were titles I’ve poured dozens of hours into on PS3, Vita and PS4. Hopefully this will entertain for a long time!
As with Horizon, it makes perfect sense to release these two titles on PC so it lures new players for the second outings of the IPs. Both titles already had their momentum and shipped so many copies. I think it’s okay for these two to be PC games.
COD: Cold War has the same $10 upgrade and it works even with PS4 retail version. Xbox doesn’t have this possibility. I believe it’ll be the same with Tony Hawk.
