Quick question . . . It's come up as an 81gb download. Does anybody know, if I just want to play the campaign is the 14GB Data to Start bit enough? Thank you
@OliverCrossland The unremastered version was on PSNow. Gave it a try last month. Sadly, I found that the gameplay had aged too much for me. Felt very clunky as the review states.
Fully addicted to Death Stranding. Took a while to grab me (first time I played I even turned it off out of annoyance with it) but the claws are now in deeper than anything I've played all year.
Death Stranding. Opinion so far - amazing imagery coupled with a bunch of long winded nonsense and genuinely boring gameplay. Just started chapter 3. Apparently it gets better from here. If not, I don't think I'll be trying chapter 4.
Kind of excited about the historical tourism aspect with this one. I live in York, which was Jorvik in those days. Intrigued to see if / how it's represented.
I think they'll do it when they're ready. Ms has what, three different Xboxes announced? I don't even know, and who even cares? Anyone? The PS4 has still got a good few months of thunder in the tank. Also, the success of this generation and the type and quality of games they have released means that I for one am with them for the next... and yet am not really coveting dropping half a grand on a new console right now.
This got me to wondering who writes the games. Turns out its a chap called Derby McDevitt on this one, returning from Black Flag and Revelations. This made me more excited than anything else shown thus far as the writing in the last two was pee poor.
@Cornaboyzzz I get it, people's main issue seems to be with the story direction. However . . . that its got people narked, suggests they haven't played it safe, and that makes me more curious to experience it for myself as intended . . . It's entirely possible that it is just bad and I'll join em come July.
Ordered. Now to dodge them spoilers like Sans on a genocide run for two months. Hmmm. One thing I've been wondering with all the storm in a tea cup "backlash" though, is when did straight dudes stop liking lesbians?
I've had the old ps3 out for some GTA4 which is still great and Ive been chipping away at Final Fantasy XIII which I'm actually liking rather a lot (though in small doses) and think I might end up being one of those people who claim it's underrated. Also Monster Hunter World in the spring sale which is the best thing ever and my first MH in . . . ten years!!!! Time, where does it go?
Two that I would love for them to acquire but think is unlikely, would be Frogwares and Dontnod. Studios with strong, ambitious single player, narrative-driven ideas that could really benefit from Sony's financial backing and quality control to kick their projects up a level.
If you are even a little interested in Blades of the Shogun you should definitely give it a go. One of the best, most satisfying tactical games around.

Yes, but can you ride it up a mountain then kick it off the edge?

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Map Size Is a Bit Larger Than Odyssey's, Says Ubisoft Dev
@TheArt so true. Ubi constantly take the wrong lessons from these games. Size and question marks over quality writing and meaningful content.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Shares Image of Idyllic English Settlement
Reminds me of the homestead idea from AC3. Nice.

@eumenes its got that accessibility factor Nintendo does so well.

Re: Yakuza: Like a Dragon Gets New English Trailer, But No Mention of PS5 Version
At the rate these guys work it'll be Yakuza 8 on PS5 next year. Though they did cross platform (ps3/4) zero and kiwami 1 in Japan so it is possible.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Is Naughty Dog's 'Most Ambitious Game'
@kyleforrester87 If I may ask, what about the leaks made you go from disinterested to strong launch consideration?
Edit: Just generally, I know we can't go into spoilers. Thanks.

Re: Of Course Assassin's Creed Valhalla Brings Back the Worst Part of the Series
Was it Syndicate that didn't have any playable modern day stuff? Just short scenes at beginning and end. Yet another reason it's underrated.

@AdamNovice I hope not. TLOU as a franchise deserves better than that.
