@__jamiie of course it doesn't work, PC gets massively upgraded whenever new consoles.come out, and the middle ground requires.more power then a console, with lower spec Xbox it means that it will be holding all releases on it back
Resolution is just semantic imo, I'm not so discerning to recognize a big difference, it's about pushing graphics and 60fps that is noticable more then anything, and graphics curve is so low it's not like 10 years from now we'll ever look back at the ps4 and go wow it's looks way worse then I remembered, everything is crisp and pretty already
Boo Hoo, how about parents not give their children their credit card to use and teach them that this is just a money grab, they blame companies for their inability to just parent and raise their kids, you can say "no", it's not complicated
This just ensures I'll be getting a PC, which makes me wish PlayStation didn't have exclusives anymore now that there's so much more it isn't getting with Bethesda gone
That's because people throw away their money and have no patience or self control, an industry wide price fixing effort is all this is, regardless of quality or content here they are, now $69.99
@S1ayeR74 not 3 years lol, you're just making things up, and like I said all it means is a gradual improvement as opposed to Xbox which will always be held back by the Series S
@S1ayeR74 years isn't accurate and it's also not forever, I'm perfectly okay with a quality curve for a console where it gets better all the time and not stopped at the start like Xbox will be
@__jamiie that shows why it doesn't work, not to push things to their best, like with watchdogs and many others, they needed to downgrade the assets even on the highest end to get them to run on the lower end
Good, I wouldn't want them to be held back by such weak hardware, with Series X they will never have the quality level of PlayStation exclusives, you can't downscale high quality textures to 30 percent of it's required resources, you gotta work downwards and up, it's why games like Watchdogs needed to be downgraded before release because those assets couldn't run well on mid tier
Something that's been clear for a long time, each console was never made to be similar but radically different while Xbox was always built on PC architecture, hardly the end of the world
It was alright, FF16 was the only amazing showcase, nice to see some gameplay though, hopefully for a big surprise like Silent Hill or Bloodborne 2 or something but otherwise it was decent, A GoW teaser was pretty pointless since we all know it's coming and it didn't show anything
Hopefully an as of yet unannounced big exclusive launch game, and a Demons souls release date, not so much at launch to justify a purchase, better then Xbox but not by to much
I thought Breath of the wild was extremely disappointing, pointless exploration, annoying climbing, lack of enemies, bare bones story, and this seems like what I wanted BoTW to be
Who cares? It's more work so why shouldn't they make more money, there was no expectations upon release that it would be upgraded to ps5 and now they need to try and target those people who held off, who now have options where Remedy makes no money from used copies or very little from cheap copies, but now they can actually make money by only offering it on complete editions
Doubt it will matter now, Xbox has been doing poorly even with all the bundles and discounts, PlayStation has a much stronger brand and much more and better games
That's not exactly terrible, Spiderman sold amazingly, I didn't buy it but as a service game the amount of content pretty well depends on it doing well so hopefully it's successful enough to be continually worked on and I may eventually buy it
Seems really unfair for the 2nd highest bid that 4 people put in less each yet each of them get an outfit....but then again this is starting to seem like yet another Youtuber/streamer endorsement and was probably rigged like the top player seems to have been
Doesn't matter if it's years later and from a last gen system, I always figured PS5 would be the last console anyway and 5 years from now PC at 4k 60fps will be extremely cheap cost of entry
So much milking of consumers have unfortunately become the norm, I think something like cosmetics should be capped at 99 cents or something, to avoid exploitation of primarily children
@Sinton ya ps5 is more powerful but as a first party ps5 exclusive it means the developers can push the assets and effects and physics and whatever to whatever they want it to be, if they wanted 4k 60fps they could have easily hit it, but that would mean not pushing something to it's max and they chose not to do it
With a game like Call of duty that will be 4k 120fps, it's old assets, made to.run on old hardware so it's very easy to upscale older assets and less of everything
I don't think people realise that developing specifically for a system means it's only gonna hit what they go for, they can push every boundary possible, if they wanted it to be 4k 60fps or 120fps or anything else then they could've developed for it. I'll definitely choose 60fps though and hope all developers target giving it as at least an option, even if it's 1440p
Was pretty really underwhelming, ratchet and clank was probably the best thing about it and there wasn't much we haven't seen before. Didn't need to incredibly long trailer for WoW expansion which seemed pretty generic
Great for PlayStation to have this deal, terrible for a deal like this to exist due to 2Ks incredibly terrible microtransactions, see they're really justifying that $69.99 price tag
Makes perfect sense, it's a 2019 game, nowhere near new console launch so I completely get that they want to recoup the time and effort to make an upgrade for PlayStation 5 long after the Original release not to mention the OG version can be easily bought for really cheap now, so ya I don't see why it's a problem that a company wants money to do something
Whatever only reason I'm even getting a launch day PS5 is to play all this year PS4 games since I sold my PS4 PRO earlier this year to get as much as I can for it ($450 CAD)

Re: UK Retailer GAME Quietly Adds £10 Delivery Charge to PS5 Pre-Orders
@BNAG_Gamer I know they do but with a massive amount all at once I imagine it's not so easy to absorb
Re: UK Retailer GAME Quietly Adds £10 Delivery Charge to PS5 Pre-Orders
Don't blame them, gotta be pretty costly to ship so many systems all at once, amazon will gain from this though no doubt
Re: Sony Considered Xbox Series S-Style PS5, Doesn't Think Lower Spec Models Have Had Success
@S1ayeR74 I never said it wouldn't while they were also made on PlayStation 4 but that's still only a coue years and only a limited selection
Re: Sony Considered Xbox Series S-Style PS5, Doesn't Think Lower Spec Models Have Had Success
@S1ayeR74 they will be held back ..for a time ..but not for the entire lifecycle, you seem unable to comprehend this

This is why I'm a PC/PlayStation gamer
Re: Sony Considered Xbox Series S-Style PS5, Doesn't Think Lower Spec Models Have Had Success
@S1ayeR74 3 years or not it's still not the entire cycle, it will only get better, and then why don't you explain why they need to downgrade? Go on

Nice, hard to complain about a bonus at no extra cost
Re: PS5 Price, Release Date Confirmed: 12th November in Most Regions, $499 Standard, $399 Digital
No surprises here lol, still $399 for ps5 is still much better then The XSX at $299, will be getting the disc edition though, maybe not on launch day

Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Has Optional 60FPS Mode on PS5
@Sinton but the specs are improved, it's just more of a Speed showcase over resolution, and it's not like it doesn't look fantastic

I was somewhat excited before now upon learning it's F2P
Re: Marvel's Avengers Has a Paid Battle Pass for Every Superhero After Launch

Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Has Optional 60FPS Mode on PS5
@Dange you could have it both but that would mean less partial physics, lower textures etc.
Just because you can measure framerate and resolution doesn't mean it's the most important
Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Has Optional 60FPS Mode on PS5
@Sinton ya ps5 is more powerful but as a first party ps5 exclusive it means the developers can push the assets and effects and physics and whatever to whatever they want it to be, if they wanted 4k 60fps they could have easily hit it, but that would mean not pushing something to it's max and they chose not to do it

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Is 4K, 120 Frames-Per-Second on PS5
