@jrt87 all they did was create a technical marvel that wouldn't run on incredibly underpowered hardware, the only mistake they made was releasing it on PS4 and Xbox one but they'd get far more flack for cancelling them. Fact is if they were treated fairly for what they are, an indie studio they wouldn't be torn apart for the things they did wrong, plenty of smaller studio games with many problems but they're given a pass because they're not as popular

Been playing it since it launched on PS5, and definitely one of the best open world games ever, so much to do and everything no matter how small feels meaningful because most things come with some interesting story or something to read that gives you a peak into every scenario and what went wrong. This is a game that basically conquered "open world fatigue" because everything is worth doing. One flaw I'd say is the story seems too short already at the end game wall and there's still so much to do before attempting it

Re: New and Existing Bungie Games Will Not Become PS5, PS4 Exclusives

@naruball It's a seller's market is definitely one of the factors, companies are looking to scoop up good studios, plus I'd say a new game from Bungie which is definitely coming is probably gonna be a major seller, and they clearly have plans for expanding and better bigger, plus they do bring knowledge of how to properly implement games as a service and while I don't like the idea of it, there's definitely revenue value in that

Re: New and Existing Bungie Games Will Not Become PS5, PS4 Exclusives

@naruball Destiny 2 is a big FPS game and their next game will probably be just as big if not bigger and when multiple studios are being bought, especially Activision it's important that Playstation ensure that they still have some big FPS titles and there's no reason not to think Bungie was a potential target for acquisition and they don't want them leaving Playstation

Re: Call of Duty Will Seemingly Continue to Release on PS5, PS4 Through 2023

@Floki that's an atypical scenario because the Xbox 360 released one year earlier and was way cheaper, and back in the PS2 days there was nothing to carry forward, nothing locked you into the ecosystem and for the first year the Xbox 360 was the only option and is way more next gen then the PS2 was so once some people bought it then it drags their group towards it as well and then the PS3 launched outside of a lot of people's price range so that certainly didn't help things

Enough time for them to create the next big thing Playstation fans will flock too, people are creatures of habit, they are already financially, socially, emotionally, and psychologically entrenched in the playstation ecosystem, a person can't just up and go to a new ecosystem without alienating themselves from the community they feel a connection with as most people are social creatures

Re: Stranger of Paradise Brings Chaos to PS5 SSDs

I bought a 1TB SSD, the XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE for $149.99 CAD and it's more then fast enough for internal PS5, and should be cheaper in US, not a terrible price for such a fast drive and PS5 upgrade, much better then the 289.99 much weaker 1TB XSX Expansion Card
