@jrt87 all they did was create a technical marvel that wouldn't run on incredibly underpowered hardware, the only mistake they made was releasing it on PS4 and Xbox one but they'd get far more flack for cancelling them. Fact is if they were treated fairly for what they are, an indie studio they wouldn't be torn apart for the things they did wrong, plenty of smaller studio games with many problems but they're given a pass because they're not as popular
Been playing it since it launched on PS5, and definitely one of the best open world games ever, so much to do and everything no matter how small feels meaningful because most things come with some interesting story or something to read that gives you a peak into every scenario and what went wrong. This is a game that basically conquered "open world fatigue" because everything is worth doing. One flaw I'd say is the story seems too short already at the end game wall and there's still so much to do before attempting it
Liking it a lot on PS5 but firefight with some Mechs in one of the first main missions caused massive slideshow frame drops which lasted about 20 seconds before returning to mostly normal
It seems pretty clear thats the plan, they don't wanna say definitives about something years in the future though which I imagine most companies don't so they can't be held to that from a legal perspective
Sony should buy this studio, and then have them create a GBA reminiscent Zelda-like game then a GameCube one, and then a Wii one then BAM Playstation has its own modern Zelda game
Ya they overpaid but it's a seller market and they gotta scoop up a big FPS player before another company does, that being said Bungie has potential with it's upcoming game coming and evidently their expansions are doing decent, and they should be pretty knowledgeable on the games as a service front
@naruball It's a seller's market is definitely one of the factors, companies are looking to scoop up good studios, plus I'd say a new game from Bungie which is definitely coming is probably gonna be a major seller, and they clearly have plans for expanding and better bigger, plus they do bring knowledge of how to properly implement games as a service and while I don't like the idea of it, there's definitely revenue value in that
@naruball Destiny 2 is a big FPS game and their next game will probably be just as big if not bigger and when multiple studios are being bought, especially Activision it's important that Playstation ensure that they still have some big FPS titles and there's no reason not to think Bungie was a potential target for acquisition and they don't want them leaving Playstation
Buying Bungie at the very least ensures they retain a popular FPS title, because otherwise Bungie could've been bought by another company and be taken away from Playstation
I don't think it will have an impact but it's incredibly unprofessional for a store to do this especially when there's still potentially years of CoD support, I'm guessing someone at that store is a massive Xbox fanboy
@Floki that's an atypical scenario because the Xbox 360 released one year earlier and was way cheaper, and back in the PS2 days there was nothing to carry forward, nothing locked you into the ecosystem and for the first year the Xbox 360 was the only option and is way more next gen then the PS2 was so once some people bought it then it drags their group towards it as well and then the PS3 launched outside of a lot of people's price range so that certainly didn't help things
Enough time for them to create the next big thing Playstation fans will flock too, people are creatures of habit, they are already financially, socially, emotionally, and psychologically entrenched in the playstation ecosystem, a person can't just up and go to a new ecosystem without alienating themselves from the community they feel a connection with as most people are social creatures
That's fine, I never play a game a second time just to get a different ending, different routes and characters is more interesting on that journey anyway
I always cringe when people you expect to try and be objective when they judge and eventually review games immediately call it 'terrible anime tie-ins" without having ever played it.
I bought a 1TB SSD, the XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE for $149.99 CAD and it's more then fast enough for internal PS5, and should be cheaper in US, not a terrible price for such a fast drive and PS5 upgrade, much better then the 289.99 much weaker 1TB XSX Expansion Card
Decently rated on steam reviews lol, the same steam reviews that become mostly negative if there's a sequel with a minor change rabid fanboys don't like?
Just so we're clear it gets a 3 out of 10 why? Just shows how biased the media is and how shallow things like graphics hold so much weight, basically media is the reason these games don't exist anymore
I'm kinda digging everything about it, maybe just a longing for the types of games that are made with some joy and creativity as opposed to artificial analytics and generic copy and paste development software that makes everything seem so stale and tiring.
They're mad that a company is doing what companies are supposed to do and supporting the biggest money makers more, well too bad so sad, capitalism has its disadvantages too.
If godfall was full edition it would be decent, have no interest is a demo of a bad game that's also free on epic Games store which doesn't have a sub cost, will play mortal shell though
So pretentious to have a fan given reward while simultaneously having every other reward from some pretentious snobs that think they have better opinions then everyone else and they should decide these things
Not sure how good this will be, first one was great but they've clearly struggled with development so much that I wonder how much has been cut vs. How much has been refined

Re: Sony Pictures Declares Uncharted a 'New Hit Movie Franchise'
I expected it to flop as every other playstation attempt to turn a gaming franchise into a movie one as well, glad to see it did well though
Re: Uncharted Movie's Audience Score Is Completely At Odds with Critics
Reviewers are pretentious and snooty especially in the movie realm of things, their word is as good as garbage most cases
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Horizon Forbidden West?
Gonna wait, with the sheer amount of game competition this year the price should plummet pretty fast and I'm good with Cyberpunk right now
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5?
Liking it a lot on PS5 but firefight with some Mechs in one of the first main missions caused massive slideshow frame drops which lasted about 20 seconds before returning to mostly normal
Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077's PS5 Version Actually Feels Like a Finished Game
I have it for PC but never got to it but ended up buying it today for PS5, sounds like it will run it better then my Rtx 2070 laptop
Re: Distressing Horror Martha Is Dead Censored on PS5, PS4

Re: Rumour: New, Smaller Assassin's Creed Game Will Focus on Stealth in Late 2022 or 2023
This is truly simply because it's a $30 expansion that they'll now be charging $70 for and expect people to be glad it's smaller

Re: Bungie's New Destiny Expansion Amasses One Million Pre-Orders
Surprisingly great considering Destiny 2 was considered a disappointment sales wise wasn't it? Definitely turned it around I guess
Re: Tom Holland's Nathan Drake Stars in Uncharted X Hyundai Tucson Commercial
I hope that's not an indication of his acting in the movie because that was atrocious, not a bad ad for the vehicle though

Re: Apex Legends Dev Respawn Making Three Star Wars Games, Including FPS and Jedi Fallen Order Sequel
I like KOTOR and KOTOR 2, and neither of those are on that list, I'll pass on the linearity and quick cash grabs to milk the license to death

That's fine, I never play a game a second time just to get a different ending, different routes and characters is more interesting on that journey anyway

@Northern_munkey well ya, the truth is rarely surprising or exciting, it's just reality
Re: PSVR2 Is Coming, But Here's a Reminder That PSVR Is Still Alive and Kicking
PS VR 2 better have backwards compatibility, if not I'll just end up getting the next Oculus Quest
Re: Rainbow Six: Extraction (PS5) – Limited Time Event Turned Middling Co-Op Shooter
It's on gamepass because it's a trashy F2P quality game made to earn money through microtransactions
Re: Sony Pictures Classics Acquires Rights to Movie Being Painted in PS4 Game Dreams
This game definitely needs to be ported to PC if it wants to survive and most likely even thrive
Re: Sony Pictures Classics Acquires Rights to Movie Being Painted in PS4 Game Dreams
Just a way of getting publicity for Dreams which it definitely needs if it isn't gonna die
Re: December 2021 NPD: Call of Duty: Vanguard Was the Best-Selling PS5, PS4 Game of the Year
Maybe a new Killzone, it's time, need a CoD killer and CoD is at an all time low point now

I own a PlayStation and PC for this very reason, as long as PlayStation keeps getting exclusives I'll still buy PlayStation

That's a great sign, assuming that's all in one playthrough anyway, I like exploring but not starting again just for minor chnages
Re: Promising PS5, PS4 RPG Granblue: Fantasy Relink Teases Ahead of 2022 Release
Probably the most cookie cutter cast of characters I've ever seen, but generally I'm used to that being a big JRPG fan but still

Was there even one big announcement? Is wonder Woman being made by insomniac...No? Then who cares.
Re: Geoff Keighley Teases 'Four or Five' Elden Ring Calibre Showcases for The Game Awards
@Futureshark maybe a remaster, no need to remake the game, possibly a sequel
Re: Battlefield to Become a Connected Universe with Multiple Games and Experiences
