I looked at the cards briefly when first playing through Demon Souls and quickly realized they were rubbish. The other two features I honestly did not know existed and still can't say that I care.
I loved the original; it was about as close as you could get to a single-player WoW. Not sure I will get around to the re-master just a jam packed last couple months and I want to work through SOME of my backlog before the PS5.
For $70, if its a game I am anticipating I will probably pay it (already did on my Demon Souls pre-order), but if its a game I am more on the fence about I will just wait for a price drop where before I may have made a more impulse buy. Been getting kind of screwed with buggy Day 1 games lately anyway.
I buy consoles for their games not the price point and Sony has the games I want. I want a disc drive because I swap physical games with friends, do that 2-3x and you saved the cost difference in the digital v disc console.
Even in the egdiest years of my teenage angst wI would never even think to send death threats to someone who worked on something I ended up not liking.
You want to ***** on the game thats fine, while I enjoyed it, I can see why it was a letdown for some; but in the end its just a game if someone gets this worked up over something ultimately so trivial they really need to seek mental help.
I am guessing it has to do with the reduced load times of the SSD. I love my PSVR but the load screens can seem endless when your captive in your headset. With the way this game looks it may need to take full advantage of on demand loading.
I like black consoles, they blend into my entertainment center. But in the end I buy consoles for the games not their looks; and Sonys got the games I love.
Honestly, I'm a sony fan. Since the PS2 they've had the games I wanted to play so regardless of reveal I am going to get it. So the timeline in which they reveal it doesn't really concern me.
I'll probably pick it up Day 1, I still have my Day 1 PS3 and PS4; the only reason my PS2 isn't included is I wore out the drive playing Monster Rancher 2 and loading my CD collection to see what they generated.
I was pretty excited for this... until I read it is teleport only. I get including the option, but for me I find teleporting (not full motion) makes me dizzy and light-headed, so for now it looks like a firm pass.
I can overlook a lot of the issues you mentioned, but the one that stuck with me was the quests. There is no urgency or call to action to really drive the quests. I like exploring/scavenging but I can imagine that is only going to last so long without a real goal.
Mine is some 'edgy' goth thing I came up with in HS; so 20 years later yeah I don't like it, would like to change it but not sure what too. Its nice having a name that doesnt need a lot of random numbers of symbols at the end.
I was so psyched when I saw the headline, went hunting for a full list of games, took about 4 sites before I realize they only released 5 of them so far. Kind of lame, will withhold my excitement.
One of my favorite series! (I have a weakness for SRPGs) I know most people were anticipating Spiderman but this, for me, is the game I have been waiting on.
Ugh another telltale franchise, I'm sure this wont increase delays on currently established/forgotten ones they already started. There goes my hope GoT Season 2 will be out before the next book...
I've stayed up until the wee hours of the morning here to join their betas before only for it to fail to connect or boot me minutes into a playthrough. I get that is the point, stress the server, but there isn't much in it for me.
Only just started but I have to say I find this to be the most utterly charming games ive played. The feeling harkens back to me as a kid playing the original Legend of Zelda for the first time.
On the one hand my username was something I made up in HS and does feel old and somewhat immature at this point; on the other, no idea what id change it too...
Horizon and Persona 5 are not just my favorite titles of the year but easily top 10 all time (personally). Lost Legacy and Death of the Outsider while short were as good as any main game in their respective series. Really going to take a lot to top 2017 IMO.
I liked the story but really hated the puzzles, I tend to loathe anything timed, so I don't think I made it very far. Too bad because I love bizarre and this game had a ton of it.
@get2sammyb Well have I have to admit your "should you buy a psvr" article you recently update and reposted put me over the top. I honestly would have preferred a RE7 bundle, but I'm looking forward to facing off against giants I actually have to look up to. Just one more week!
As I've stated on other articles I almost exclusive play Single Player Games (exceptions for Soulsbourne types) so this largely doesn't effect me. That being said its nice to see the gaming community band together to say enough is enough, the only question is if it will work; it only takes on person to plop down $15K in lootboxes (which IS apparently a thing) to make up for a lot of lost sales.
I quite literally just had this conversation with a friend... and I am a little drunk so apologies if this reads as a ramble.
I want a PSVR in the worst way; been talking about getting one for a year, but still hesitant to pull the trigger. I am afraid it will end up being a dust collector. Its one thing if its a 3DS that cost me $100, but were talking a $400 investment.
The library right now has some interesting titles (dying to try Thumper) but overall seems weak of anything that will hold my attention. And I worry about motion sickness. I am pretty tolerant in real life but hate to find out after the fact it makes me sick.
But on the other hand its been a while since I've had a new gadget...
I liked the concept of the first one, but found the combat parts to be really tedious and the controls had a noticeable delay which caused me to quit this one early; sadly doesn't sound like combat improved much.
Funny, until they mentioned it I completely forgot they shoehorned MP into Dragon Age. Oh well when one player concedes market space another will come to fill it.
@meppi I played for 15 got as of this morning and never had any issues, so it could be something that eluded QC but once you're on thousands of different consoles popped up. It's not ideal but better than NES days where broken games just stayed broken.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Persona 5 Tactica?
It's not the deepest SRPG but it has been fun. My biggest complaint is that I wish there was more of it.

Re: Talking Point: Could PS5's Price Be a Problem Against Xbox's Rumoured Lockhart?
Sony has, traditionally; had the exclusives I wanted to play. That's it; I don't care about teraflops, price points or design; I follow the games.

Re: Did From Software Just Tease Bloodborne 2?
@zimbogamer Not that you asked but my personal ranking of souls/bourne Bloodborne ranks 2nd
1 DaS
2 BB
3 DeS
4 DaS 3
5 DaS 2
The last two may be interchangeable.

Savage!
Its a shame really, looking at it Battlefront should be the game 8 year old me dreamt of, but then EA got a hold of it and crapped on everything.
Can't we just get X-wing v Tie Fighter in HD... no microtransactions
