fallout 4, mainly. Then continuing my coop campaign with my girlfriend on Borderlands 2 (we love play that game together and she is getting very good at it), and then I am trying out Rebel Galaxy (on PC, since in Europe it is not yet on the store, dunno why). In the meantime I am managing going skiing twice this weekend.... busy life, uh? 😊

Re: First Impressions: Is Arslan: The Warriors of Legend Princely on PS4?

arnoldlayne83

I tried the demo, the horse fight doesn t feel very fluid to me. It is almost a hit or miss. I felt more confortable fighting on foot (which makes Arslan a 1:1 clone of DW). Also this mardan rush feature, if is predetermined by the map, puts me off. I thought you could strategically wipe off part of the battlefield doing cavarly/infantry charges flanking enemy regiments. From the demo you can t either give orders to your generals and also the encampments mechanic is missing... I was expecting a more tactical / strategic take on the standard musou (something between DW and Bladestorm) but in the end it looks a not so well executed copy of a generic DW title. I hope the full game will show its full potential. At the moment the demo put me off...

Ps: i just got Dragon Quest Heroes... That game is fantastic and it is tons of fun!

@BAMozzy i totally agree on what you said. In fact I will probably wait for a definitive edition or psn discounts to get it, if someone will still play it. Graphics and audio look amazing, but the 'meat is not there'. I am sad about it, cos the franchise and the techmical ability of DICE should have led to a much better result. No comment on pricing policy, which I think is totally insane...

Re: PS4 Owners Have Terribad Music Taste

I don t care about general trend.... Since mainsyream now is all about rap and co..... But spotify on ps4 has been a great way to discover new artists through amazing playlists. One of the best console's feature for me so far....

Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Fallout 4 (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

@sinalefa I would personally go with the 4th. As Sammy said is just better than 3rd in every aspect, but still similar. By doing 3rd and 4th in a row the risk is you will get bored of the 4th while it deserves all the time you have...

As Robert said, there's something, magical, sadistic and even comical in smashing mutant's heads while listening The Traveller and its amazing 50s playlist.

The more I play this game the more it is becoming a part of me....

Re: Review: FIFA 16 (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

By reading the review it seems that this year Fifa takes a "PESsy" route.... Am I right? I was considering buying Pes, as I value more teamplay and tactics than individual skills, but this review made me reconsider my will... For me, pes gameplay coupled with Fifa modes and presentation is the definitive football game.

I finally became the Shogun in nobunaga ambition yesterday night. Took a while and a massive well executed blitzkrieg plan but i did it. It is really a deep strategy game, one of the deepest i ve ever played (and i played a lot of them). So now it s a choice between samurai warrior 4, back to The Witcher or MGS V. But Bloodborne is calling me back from the deepest dungeon of Yarnham...

Re: Grand Ages: Medieval Delays Its Invasion on PS4

Not a big deal, since I ve discovered that is more a commercial sim than a military/political one. Plus, thanks to Koei, I am playing till late night Nobunaga Ambition, which is so much deep and a strategical fest! They made the interface surprisingly friendly for a gamepad. (Robert, another superb review, i agree on what you said 100%)

@get2sammyb : I understand that you are worried because it looks all the same. That's the love it / hate it around Platinum productions normally. By having played their most recent games on WiiU (tw101 and Bayonetta2) I would say that yes, the whole game will be around a tight and engaging combat mechanic, full pace action and good visuals. I won't expect any great story nor extensive gameplay variations. It will be just pure, "sweaty" action.
