fallout 4, mainly. Then continuing my coop campaign with my girlfriend on Borderlands 2 (we love play that game together and she is getting very good at it), and then I am trying out Rebel Galaxy (on PC, since in Europe it is not yet on the store, dunno why). In the meantime I am managing going skiing twice this weekend.... busy life, uh? 😊
@Matroska yes. Though I enjoyed bladestorm, it could have been much better... More strategic at least. I still hope one day Koei will merge DW and Nobunaga Ambition to give us a huge scale tactical musou..
I tried the demo, the horse fight doesn t feel very fluid to me. It is almost a hit or miss. I felt more confortable fighting on foot (which makes Arslan a 1:1 clone of DW). Also this mardan rush feature, if is predetermined by the map, puts me off. I thought you could strategically wipe off part of the battlefield doing cavarly/infantry charges flanking enemy regiments. From the demo you can t either give orders to your generals and also the encampments mechanic is missing... I was expecting a more tactical / strategic take on the standard musou (something between DW and Bladestorm) but in the end it looks a not so well executed copy of a generic DW title. I hope the full game will show its full potential. At the moment the demo put me off...
Ps: i just got Dragon Quest Heroes... That game is fantastic and it is tons of fun!
@BAMozzy i totally agree on what you said. In fact I will probably wait for a definitive edition or psn discounts to get it, if someone will still play it. Graphics and audio look amazing, but the 'meat is not there'. I am sad about it, cos the franchise and the techmical ability of DICE should have led to a much better result. No comment on pricing policy, which I think is totally insane...
Great result for Star Wars Battlefront.... A game that, according to critic and tons of players, lacks a lot of contents kept behind a superexpensive DLC....
As usual, we hate EA but we can t keep away our wallet from them....
I don t care about general trend.... Since mainsyream now is all about rap and co..... But spotify on ps4 has been a great way to discover new artists through amazing playlists. One of the best console's feature for me so far....
Bloodborne. I have enjoyed both the Witcher and Fallout, but Bloodborne is such a perfect crafted game. Right lenght amd contents (not too short not too long), great visuals, dark atmosphere and every fight is a blast.
@sinalefa I would personally go with the 4th. As Sammy said is just better than 3rd in every aspect, but still similar. By doing 3rd and 4th in a row the risk is you will get bored of the 4th while it deserves all the time you have...
As Robert said, there's something, magical, sadistic and even comical in smashing mutant's heads while listening The Traveller and its amazing 50s playlist.
The more I play this game the more it is becoming a part of me....
The beta for me was a huge letdown. Gunplay felt like shooting with waterpistols, unbalance vs mode, goofy animations for the characters.... I don t think I ll get it....
I am glad I was able to rise a Destiny's clan in about one week. Now we are 12 active guardians.... so tomorrow we will start the last raid.... tried also the trials of Osiris but, damn, we lost badly the first two fights
I was so hyped for this one, but i just discover there is no multiplayer of any sort.... I love Warriors also for the coop fun they give... So I am pretty disappointend now by Omega choice. I will maybe get it on budget in the future...
By reading the review it seems that this year Fifa takes a "PESsy" route.... Am I right? I was considering buying Pes, as I value more teamplay and tactics than individual skills, but this review made me reconsider my will... For me, pes gameplay coupled with Fifa modes and presentation is the definitive football game.
I finally became the Shogun in nobunaga ambition yesterday night. Took a while and a massive well executed blitzkrieg plan but i did it. It is really a deep strategy game, one of the deepest i ve ever played (and i played a lot of them). So now it s a choice between samurai warrior 4, back to The Witcher or MGS V. But Bloodborne is calling me back from the deepest dungeon of Yarnham...
I would call a cold reception for Mario Maker. WiiU jumped from 10k to 20k, and in japan where it seems stronger than here in the West. I was expecting something more close to the reception of MGSV and Ps4 at launch week (that was amazing tbh).
Wow... I saw on some forums that, based on demos, many users were favouring fifa this year.... Maybe just cos it is a more estabilished brand nowaday. I still have to try both demos.
Plus, as a side note, i still have to see God is a geek giving a score below 9 - 10 to any games i was looking for...
Not a big deal, since I ve discovered that is more a commercial sim than a military/political one. Plus, thanks to Koei, I am playing till late night Nobunaga Ambition, which is so much deep and a strategical fest! They made the interface surprisingly friendly for a gamepad. (Robert, another superb review, i agree on what you said 100%)
I am so into Nobunaga's Ambition that Snake has to wait in the drawer.... Finally getting close, with my Shimatzu clan, to the final war against Oda clan for western japan supremacy! This game is honey for grand strategic lovers!
Good to know that this musou is good on vita too and thanks for the review! Would you say thatis the best one on Vita so far? I was looking for a musou for Vita...
@get2sammyb : I understand that you are worried because it looks all the same. That's the love it / hate it around Platinum productions normally. By having played their most recent games on WiiU (tw101 and Bayonetta2) I would say that yes, the whole game will be around a tight and engaging combat mechanic, full pace action and good visuals. I won't expect any great story nor extensive gameplay variations. It will be just pure, "sweaty" action.
This is pure Platinum at its best! somehow it reminds me of The Wonderful 101, one of the most funny action game I've played recently (also from platinum).

Re: First Impressions: Is Arslan: The Warriors of Legend Princely on PS4?
@Matroska i guess you are talking about Bladestorm... 100 years war and Jean d'Arc....

Bloodborne. I have enjoyed both the Witcher and Fallout, but Bloodborne is such a perfect crafted game. Right lenght amd contents (not too short not too long), great visuals, dark atmosphere and every fight is a blast.
A great year for gaming anyway...

Re: Sony: Our First-Party PS4 Lineup Looks Incredible Next Year

Re: TGS 2015: Sony Suggests PlayStation VR Won't Be Cheap
Big price -> low sales numbers -> no 3rd parties on board = end up like playstation move or WiiU.
They either have to sell it with some truly amazing software for high price or make it cheaper. High risk of flop imho.

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think of Sony's Pre-TGS Press Conference?
Good overall. It would have been very good if they announced gt7. Xbox already made 3 Forza title, what is Sony waiting?
Re: Round Up: What Did Sony Announce for PS4, PS3, Vita During Its Pre-TGS Presser?
I am happy for Vita, and some great announcements for ps4 too. Definitely sold on bloodborne dlc and this Nioh looks interesting.
But still, where is GT7?
