Whatever Jade Raymond is having Haven Studios do is personally my most anticipated project from Sony. It seems like they are taking risks. Jade Raymond is talented and experienced enough to be able to successfully lead that charge.
@Barrel_Roll I have the "PlayStation and You: PS3" campaign as well. My friend doesn't have the campaign though, and we're both in Canada. Neither of us have the "PS VR BRB" challenge. So seems like there are campaigns that aren't rolled out to everyone.
As @AdonisIsBeast said, the PS3 digital collectible isn't listed here. I got it just for playing any PS4 or PS5 game. It seems this campaign isn't available to everyone though, for some reason.
@Shad361 JoJo is #10 in North America and not charted in UK. Could be a huge difference between #3 and #10. We don't know unless they report actual sales numbers. Also, I wouldn't say JoJo is all that niche, it's huge in Asia, specifically Japan. North America has a growing Asian population, hence it charting in North America and not UK. Disney Dreamlight Valley I wouldn't say is niche either. But regardless, what you said about basically every new game charting simply isn't true. I think you're underestimating just how many games are released regularly.
@Shad361 "Basically any new game gets on the charts no matter what. Even the most niche of games."
Definitely not true. Not sure if you're being serious or just trolling. But anyway, thanks for making an account just to reply to my comment, I'm honoured.
@Shad361 GTA V charts every month. Cyberpunk is now selling well because of the expansion and Netflix series announcements and because they finally fixed the game.
@Tecinthebrain That's the beauty of open forums. I don't need anyone to say otherwise in order for me to express my own thoughts and findings. It's just an observation I've made over my many hours spent reading news and comments on this site.
@themightyant Agreed. I think the vast majority of the PlayStation gaming market is casual gamers who, for the most part, just buy a couple sports games and the annual CoD release every year. Then maybe buy one or two other big AAA releases they might be interested in.
It's almost like the Push Square community isn't an accurate representation of the general gaming market. Sports games and CoD games always sell well, despite Push Square users' aversion towards them. The Last of Us Part I sold well despite Push Square users' "cash grab" mentality towards the game.
God of War Ragnarok and A Plague Tale: Requiem are going to consume the rest of 2022 for me. After I finish those, I might give Gotham Knights a try with a friend. Looking like a good end to 2022!
@theheadofabroom that's a fair point. The accessibility options weren't the only upgrade/addition to the remake though. Perhaps they could've just patched in the added accessibility options to the previous versions. But then again, they aren't being compensated for their work that way so that may not be sustainable. You're right, I don't know what the answer to the problem might be.
@nerd7 take into consideration the difference in value of different currencies and the overall economic landscape. $95 CAD is about £64 in the UK. Canada also has higher wages than places like the UK and US. Cost of living is also lower, except in major Canadian cities. So all things said, $95 CAD for a controller is about equal value as everywhere else.
@JGruns all the accessibility and visual upgrades don't just happen with the click of a button. Real people put in real work and get paid real money to make the upgrade a reality. I don't understand why people feel so entitled that they should just get the upgrade for free. The upgrade has meaning and value to a lot of people. If the upgrade serves no purpose to you, then don't buy it. It's completely 100% the consumer's choice wether they want to buy into it.
Sony's got a lot of issues that hurt the consumer, but I don't find charging for optional upgrades to be one of them.
@Jammsbro that's a lot of games that they wouldn't focus a PlayStation Showcase around. PlayStation Showcases have been focused around big-hitting AAA first party games. There's really not many AAA first party PlayStation games expected next year. Maybe Spider-Man 2 or The Last of Us multiplayer. But if they aren't ready to give us a date and gameplay for those games then a PlayStation showcase would be very bare.
I don't think so. If there is one, it won't be as big as past years. I don't think they have much to show off for upcoming AAA games that are not years away.
I just went through every single PS4 game and ranked every one I have played. Thanks, Push Square, it's your fault that today is not a productive day for me.
I've stopped watching and reading anything about God of War Ragnarok. I want to go into that game as fresh as possible. So I didn't watch the part of the State of Play.
Because of that, my favourite thing I saw shown was Stellar Blade.
I'm happy they are going to be going back to some smaller-scale AC games. After finishing Odyssey, I got really tired of the huge, overwhelming AC RPG style games. I tried multiple times to get into AC Valhalla but I just couldn't get into it, I'm burnt out on the huge AC games.
@tameshiyaku Did you play Minecraft Story Mode? For me, that's the weakest Telltale game and it's not even close. It felt like a chore to finish that one.
@razorhanzo it has a trial. I'm not sure how Sony decides what games get trials and what games don't. Rollerdome is only a 1 hour trial, but for a game like this I feel like 1 hour is enough to really get the feel of the game.
Looks really fun, I've been looking forward to this game! Can't wait to try it with the Game Trial included with PS+. If I like it then I'm definitely going to buy it. It's discounted pretty big for a new game right now for PS+ members.
@Hundred_Hand_Slap I feel the same way. I play Fall Guys pretty often on my PS5 but still have not even downloaded the PS5 version since they still haven't fixed the trophies.
They need to just make a section of the PS Store dedicated for these easy trophy games. I don't have a problem with them existing, if people want to spend their money on those garbage games then that's their choice. I do have a problem with these games littering the store front and making it hard to find actual good indies.
@D34DL1N3R If you have no interest in it then you wouldn't have commented and accused me of lying in the first place. Clearly you do have interest in the situation, and that's okay. The entire point of this site and the comment section is to discuss interests. There's just more civil ways you can go about doing it. Anyway, I have nothing to be mad about today, but I appreciate the concern. It's been a great day. You have a great day as well.
@D34DL1N3R Actually I just made a simple statement about a PS5 having crashing issues. You then told me I'm full of it, implying that for some reason I decided to come on here and lie about the situation. You did not make "a simple statement that it's strange for a person to not file a warranty claim". When I make public comments on public forums I don't expect people to come out and accuse me of lying about situations that have absolutely no benefit to me to lie about. Instead of instantly accusing me of lying, you could've just asked me more about the situation, like a well adjusted, level-headed person would do.
@D34DL1N3R I didn't say the issues were from day one. I said he's had a PS5 since day one. Like I said, he can't even run Returnal, which came out months after he got his PS5, so not since day one. As for why he didn't do a warranty claim, I don't know. You'll have to ask him since you seem to care so much about his situation. Maybe he just didn't want to send it away and be without a PS5 for a little while.

Re: A Plague Tale: Requiem (PS5) - Asobo Studio Levels Up in Fantastic Narrative Treat
@LiamCroft does the game support Game Help? I'd like to use Game Help to clean up collectibles after I finish the story, if it's supported.
Re: A Plague Tale: Requiem (PS5) - Asobo Studio Levels Up in Fantastic Narrative Treat
The first one is one of my favourite games from the PS4 generation. Really looking forward to playing this tomorrow!
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium PS5, PS4 Games for October 2022 Announced
I'm so happy The Medium is included. I've been holding off on buying that game because I had a feeling it would be included with PS+ soon.

What, no the remake can't possibly be benefiting anyone in any way. According to Push Square users, it's just a cash grab.
Re: Video: Here's Why The Last of Us: Part 2 Is Better Than Part 1 - But It's Nothing Without It

Re: Rollerdrome (PS5) - Just As Good As Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Re: Rollerdrome (PS5) - Just As Good As Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

"Not buying it"
Meanwhile, it will sell very well once it's released. This community is not a good representation of the general gaming landscape.
