@get2sammyb it was only Pedro and Bella from the HBO show that were on stage. Also Troy and Ashley, who have minor roles. Definitely not the entire cast.

@ShogunRok What was wrong with Christopher Judge's speech? Just that it was too long? The man gave an amazing performance and he won a major award for it. If he wants to talk for ten minutes, let him. I see no problem with that. It's a big moment in his life.

Don't forget, the Game of the Year award was dedicated to reformed orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.

I thought it was great! Plenty more games to look forward to now and I can't complain about any of the award winners.

I thought BioMutant was a lot of fun. I got the platinum on both PS4 and PS5. It's not perfect but now that it's on PS+ it's definitely worth it to try if anyone has been on the fence about it.

I have so many games to play as it is. I don't need more just yet. Whatever is announced at The Game Awards I'm sure will be enough for the time being.

I'd definitely take a new Burnout, especially in the style of Burnout Paradise, taking it open world gained much more than it lost leaving it one of the strongest entries for me. The likelihood is we'll never see it anyway sadly.

I'm jealous of 25% of God of War Ragnarok players who have already had enough free time to finish it.

This isn't the first time Microsoft has said this. Remember the leaked Microsoft internal analysis of The Last of Us Part II. I recall them saying it is best in class in almost every area and better than work produced by other teams on console and PC.

Loving this game so far! I'm not surprised it's been selling so well.

Also, the record holder before God of War Ragnarok was The Last of Us Part II. Weird that the article doesn't mention this.

To be honest, I never even heard of this game. I have no idea what it is.

Fall Guys and Rocket League are two games I always keep installed because they are perfect for when I don't have lots of time to play games. They are easy to drop in and out off. I'll check out the new season for sure.

What I did in NFS Heat for the Drift Zones was used the Mazda RX8 since it had the highest drift stats. I didn't change any settings though.

It's the 3 Stars on all Drift Zones trophy that'll be the biggest pain for me. That same trophy in NFS Heat is what almost made me give up on the platinum.

Oh yeah I forgot about this game. I am looking forward to it though! There's just so many games it's easy to forget about some.

@blockfight There is no Goat Simulator 2. They just named the new (second) one Goat Simulator 3 as a joke because the entire game is a joke.

@Americansamurai1 I got the platinum and that was my last trophy. That trophy took me about 3 hours and multiple fits of rage, but I eventually got it.

God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West and A Plague Tale: Requiem. Can't go wrong with any of those games winning GotY in my opinion.

Extremely happy about this! Control is one of my favourite games of all time. It's just pure fun to play.

A Plague Tale: Requiem deserves to be a lot higher on the sales charts.

If anyone hasn't played What Remains of Edith Finch, now is the perfect time.

@Trousersnake Maybe resistance to getting sick from VR can be learned/trained, but to be honest, I'm not willing to put in that work. I had a PSVR for over a year and, putting the sickness aside, I just didn't find it that fun. I much prefer traditional controller/TV gaming.

That's a $600 vomit inducing machine for me.

This is the worst gaming news of the year. Nibel was always a go-to source. I'm part of the problem though because I didn't support him monetarily in anyway. I do understand his decision because what he did is a lot of work.

I'm not quite done it yet but it's an easy 9/10 for me so far. Great story and character development and the gameplay is really fun. The level design I feel is a big improvement over the first game as well. My one complaint would be the occasional cheesy/cringe dialogue.

@Tomato_Goose All review scores depend on the author of the review. Review scores are subjective. Which is why I always say no one should ever base their purchasing decisions based on a review score.

Hockey and video games are two of my favourite things. That being said, I never buy NHL games until they are about $20 because they truly are the same year after year.

All the people arguing with me about how The Last of Us Part I won't sell well, where you at now?

The reviews of this game are extremely mixed, which is proving how useless review scores generally are. Reviews are subjective to the reviewer. Just because the reviewer likes it doesn't mean you will, and vice versa. There's been plenty of games that review poorly that I like, and plenty of games that review well that I don't like.
Reviews can be useful in getting a general idea of what the game is about or how it plays, but I truly believe no one should ever make a decision to play or to not play a game based on review scores.

This is a game that will be about 50% off in a month or two. I'll think about getting it at that point, if I'm done with God of War Ragnarok by that time.

Not interested in it at all. I thought the same before the price was even known. I was never fond of the Xbox Elite Controllers and the same goes for the DualSense Edge. I'm happy with just the normal DualSense.

Look like it'll be a really fun arcade racer. I hate those effects though, so I'm glad they can be turned off.
