Not surprised. NetherRealms has been nailing it since MK9/Injustice. Will get it down the line for sure, but not right now.

Like @FantasyMeister above, I'd like them to finish with all DLCs and (major) patches before playing it. Any dates for the next DLC episodes by the way?

Kinda sad that basically all these good smaller games stopped being launched for the VITA and are PS4 exclusives now. Until last year, these games were mostly cross-buy between the two.

@kyleforrester87 In my case my consoles are a lifetime of entertainment. Still have my PS2 hooked in and play some gems I never got to play back then from time to time when I'm bored with newer overcomplicated games.

It's funny though, since the PS4 wasn't really THAT attractive at launch. Looking back, it seems people were just thirsty for newer, strong hardware after such a long previous generation.

@themcnoisy I don't think so. It seems there was a sleek fan remake of SoR1 based on SoR2 though. Maybe you'll want to check that out!

I'll pass, I never could get into Double Dragon back then because the greatness of Streets of Rage ruined it for me.

I'll just wait for this game to reveal its final form to play it, frankly. Once they are done with all story modes, I'll jump into it. So many games to play before that as well, that I figured I'd like to wait.

About LBP, I've platted the orginal LBP and the VITA version. Is LBP3 any good or does it feel samey? After playing two installments, I'm not very eager to go through it again unless LBP3 is something special.

@rjejr Yeah, your math makes sense. I can totally see a PS5 announced on late 2018/start of 2019 for release in 2019. But with the PS4 huge install base I also see games being released for both until 2020 or later. That's why I think PS4 will see the full package, even if the PS4 is already last gen by then. That's all IF SquareEnix doesn't let this enter development hell, of course.

They did manage to squeeze in three Final Fantasy XIII entries on one generation. And those were big games.

@get2sammyb Yeah, I think so too. But I'm thinking there's a chance we'll see the them all on the PS4, even if they will be launched for the PS5 later on. In any case, odd plan for SquareEnix. Hope it does launch in a timely manner anyway once they get the ball rolling.

I reckon that when all chapters are complete we will be at the very end of the PS4 life cycle. Then it will be immediately ported to Sony's next gen machine, probably as a full package or in some sort of bundle.

@Miles_Edgeworth 45 missions, 13 of them are Elite Marks, which are tougher.

@kyleforrester87 Exactly, but in my case, like the original Final Fantasy Tactics, I was very much engaged until the end because of the sheer excelence of the gameplay. I'll try to pay more attention to the story this time around though, since I sure want to have a trophy to show that I DID slay Yiazmat, lol.

@Miles_Edgeworth For me, it's the best battle system of modern Final Fantasy games, I simply LOVE the gambit system and semi real time battles. Story-wise, I must confess it kinda stopped making sense halfway through to me, but that's always the case for me with big convoluted political plots in these kind of games. Didn't impact my enjoyment though, since I was too busy having fun hunting marks.

How dare you put Tales of Berseria along with "some other bits and bobs". HOW DARE YOU?

I wonder if it will be digital only like the other versions. I always wanted to try it and like the Bayonetta-like style of the bosses. Maybe I'll get it somewhere down the line.

As much as I love my games to be in physical format, I don't have the time, dedication and enough disposable income to keep track/purchase all of these limited editions that interest me. I'm thrilled to see this becoming a trend though, as I think it's a chance for indie gems like Oxenfree to have a more lasting presence, so to speak — we never know when digital games will be pulled off for digital stores these days.

Waiting for the complete edition. NetherRealms doesn't get my money on launch with their current business model.

@Wazeddie22 I liked DQH, but was surprised to see how much FUN is DQB. Such an addicting game!

My backlog is so big that my reaction to this kind of thing is "whatever, it will launch eventually". Couldn't care less about exlcusivity either.

I dearly hope it sells well overseas, it's my favorite series of all time. They did a wonderful job localizing DQVII and VIII for the 3DS and both spin-offs for the PS4. I was afraid that, after the release of the DQVI remake for the DS (which didn't sell very well), the series would be dead on the West. I'm so glad that they are giving it another shot.

Having said that, I don't think it will ever be as big as it is in Japan, but there's a vocal, dedicated fan base on the West, so I hope Square has conservative expectations and keeps bringing them over if they reach acceptable sales.

@rjerj I see where you're coming from, I myself get hyped for very few games. The new GoW isn't one of them — but I'm definetly interested and will certainly buy it. Not day one, as I hardly ever buy games day one — lately, only Dragon Quest stuff because I love the series to death and like to support it when they release its games on the West. And about your Pro only prediction, nah, won't happen — there's no way that would be a sound business decision. What I believe is that we'll see a PS5 way sooner in comparison to the gap between the PS3 and the PS4.

@rjejr I think people are excited because by the looks of it it's a departure from the tried and true tropes of the franchise. Gameplay basically didn't change from the first one to Ascension, this one seems to be pushing the series forward in other ways. I'm excited to see where it's going.

Some people sure think MENTAL ILLNESS is triggered not by real life experiences at a tender age and/or other real life factors/abuse, but by the evil Japanese game industry and their evil Japanese game developers.

I can see the remastered XIII trilogy coming to PS4, but I'm not double dipping, as much as I liked the first two (haven't got around to play Lightining Returns yet, but will soon).

The so-called Final Fantasy collection seems like a pipe dream to me, and the only way I'll get one is if they put everything in one disc with trophies.

That's nothing. If DRAGON QUEST XI doesn't shift more then a million copies at launch when released, I think we can declare the console industry dead in Japan.

I"m having a blast with Dragon Quest Builders, and loved DQ Heroes 1. So glad my PS4 is turning into a full blast Dragon Quest machine!

In truth, I'm past beyond worrying about PS+ offers, since my backlog is already too big and there are so many games I'm yet to play/buy. And, really, I bet most people complaing about these "free" games also have a big backlog with the recurrent sales and all that. So I really see no point. These games are a nice bonus, but I reckon most people have more than enough to play with the PS4 going strong on its third year.

Apart from VVVVVV, which I always wanted to try, the only game I would be interested in I already have, which is Stories: The Path of Destiny. As for the rest, they are really scrapping the barrel for PS3 and PSVita aren't they?
