Re: Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash's PS5, PS4 Platinum Looks Like It'll Take Some Time

homelesscretin

Aside from a few outliers, more often than not anime games are rushed arena fighters but this one in particular confuses me.

It's from the same developers behind the one's justice games and it looks like a complete step down in terms of quality.

One's justice 2 is a great arena fighter in my opinion that's sadly been forgotten over time(due to the I.P not being as popular as it once was I'd imagine), and everytime I see footage of cursed clash I become incredibly disappointed. Like I have a soft spot for sh*tty anime games, but this one looks really bland.

Rayman origins/legends, child of light, valiant hearts and now this. Ubisoft seems to always kill it with their smaller projects, but only seem to make a small amount of them.😢

Like the EA originals(I think that's what it's called) label, I would love to see Ubisoft focus on making fantastic games that aren't necessarily triple A.

Incredibly excited to try the lost crown some time in the future!

Re: Poll: Which Persona Game Has the Best Opening?

homelesscretin

@Deoxyr1bose Both persona 4 openings absolutely bang but I think I know the reason for why so many people gravitate towards golden.

Shadow world feels like a welcome back song. Like it's the embodiment of comfiness. The song playing is the game's way of greeting you or something like that😂. That's how it's always felt to me.

P4/G is such a cosy game ☺️

Re: Sony Hit with French Fine for Allegedly Manipulating PS4 Controller Market

The dualshock 4 is still my favourite controller . It fit so snuggly in my hands, the dpad was beautiful and it was truly the perfect size🥴

The Dualsense on the other hand is a beast in comparison. Great controller in terms of technology mumbo jumbo, but it was not made for my small hands😭😭😭. Hopefully the more I use it I'll get used to it, but as of now its quite uncomfortable🥲

Enslaved: Odyssey To The West!

In terms of visuals, for a game that's 10 years old the game looks remarkable with some stunning art direction and graphics. The PS3 defo struggles at times😂.

And whilst the overarching story is a tad predictable, I'm really enjoying seeing Monkey and Trip's relationship evolve over the course of the game. Some really good acting in this game man. The motion capture is so good!

Crazy how this game is nearly a decade old. Played it a while back and never really intended to go back to it, but hearing this news makes me kinda sad man.

This game that I played with a bunch of friends is gonna go poof. Vanish. Disappear.

Like again, I don't care about my crew save data like that but it's just weird knowing that a game that I have in my PHYSICAL library can't even be played despite being on disc😂

Re: E3 Is Officially Dead

It's honestly such a strange feeling. The writing has been on the wall for years now but it's still so weird to see that E3 is indeed truly gone.

I had always wanted to attend an E3 in person when I was a teenager back in the day, and now it just doesn't exist.

Thanks for all the memories🥲.

You just had to be there man🥲.

I still remember coming back home in the summer of 2016, turning on my laptop to catch up on some news, and to my surprise not only was a new God of war announced but a new Spider Man game as well? I pretty much fainted on the spot😂.

Re: The Game Awards Will Get Rid of Iconic World Premiere Banners

@Jacko11 I haven't played the game myself so I can't exactly comment on its quality, but the general consensus around the game seems to be that it is indeed a solid game, but in a year with significantly better games, it just doesn't stand out unfortunately😅.

Like I'm aware of the political stuff surrounding the game, but I don't think that played a massive part when it came to picking out nominations. If it did, well that would suck but I really don't think that's the case.

Resident evil 4 remake, Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, all seem to be games that are genre defying and impactful, fresh experiences whereas Hogwarts Legacy is an open world action game you've probably played before😅

Obviously it goes without saying that the most important thing is your opinion. If you think Hogwarts Legacy is GOTY then hell yeah man you do you.🤗 I think people care way too much about these award ceremonies😅.

@themightyant Ooooof how did I forget to mention the music!. Such a stunning soundtrack, and I think what added to the delight of restoring areas was THAT specific track that would play whenever you healed a fertile ground.

I heard about the DLC and then found out it was eight quid on the ps store? Which is quite costly for like three hours worth of content😂. I'll definitely give a watch on YouTube, but apparently it ends on a cliffhanger which kinda sucks😣.

Regarding the problem with combat I think the same can be said for the parkour. They're both very fun systems but unfortunately lack depth. Funnily enough FFXV comes to mind again, the combat on screen looked quite dynamic and complex when in actuality it was quite simple. Again not bad mind you, just a little simple.

Throughout the game you do gain new powers that you can use by pressing the triangle button on certain plates and this unlocks new forms of traversal. Again it's all very fun and looks very spectacular on screen but you soon realise that all the powers are very samey. There are two powers that are incredibly similar in fact, the hand of ormazd and the other one that has you jumping across large stretches of land. I did love the latter however. It looks really cool in motion.

Honestly I think this being my first ever POP could be why I enjoyed it so much😂. I didn't really have any expectations as I had nothing to compare it to because I had never played a POP game before.

Would love to see any sort of continuation for this story be it in book form or comic.

Re: 'Development Is Progressing' on Ubisoft's Troubled Prince of Persia Remake

Just finished playing the 2008 reboot!. Despite some flaws here and there, a very chill, relaxing experience. Would love to see a sequel or exploration of this universe.

I think the aspect of the game that surprised me the most was actually the character of Elika. This might seem like an odd comparison, but you know how in FFXV everybody loves the chocobros in battle or in exploration because they feel very well realised with their own specific identities, with little animations and quirks that are unique to them, that really makes the characters come across more natural or human like, instead of them just walking alongside you in pure silence.

It's a similar thing with Elika. Unlike some a.i in videogames that can be incredibly annoying, at times being more of an obstacle than of any help, Elika is quite the opposite. If she's in the way while climbing, she will actually MOVE out of the way of her own accord in such a natural manner that it really surprised me. Or how when you jump to the floor and she jumps right after, she might fall into the prince's arms( which is the cutest thing ever😭). I need to pee extremely bad, so I'm struggling to articulate my thoughts, but in conclusion what I'm trying to say is that Ubisoft developed a very good a.i companion.

I think when it comes to conversations regarding videogame a.i, Elika definitely deserves to be remembered in the same way for example Ellie from the original last of us game is talked about. I dunno man, something about Elika just feels very ahead of its time if you know what I mean.😂😂😂

And that concludes my poorly written thoughts.😂

"If Nintendo had made this exact same game, and replaced the assets with Super Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom, it’d be lauded as one of the greatest releases of all time."

Man is spitting big ptooey facts.

Honestly regarding psvr 2 it's not something that I'm interested in, but the minute I find out about a new astro bot game being in development for it, I WILL BE THERE.
