Only reason I still buy consoles is so I can rent and buy used games from GameFly. And give my games to my brother, cousins and nephews once I finish them.
If consoles become only digital I will go 100% PC.
Hrs of searches later I found out it was that Windows was stuck on "Windows 21H2"... and needed "22H2"
Windows update kept telling me I was up to date. Only solution was to force an update via downloading "Windows Installation Assistant" That gave me an error.
More google - I found out I needed a Mobo Bios Update and activate "F-tPM" from AMD in the bios so Microsoft would let me install "22H2"
MSI (made my Motherboard) had no auto Mobo Bios Update... had to download the Bios from MSI to a FAT formatted USB drive and update via the Bios window.
Finally got "22H2" to install... that gave me a Blue Screen.
Re-install Nvidia "560.94" Drivers fixed that.
ALL THAT... was to get HDR working on Wukong via my 4KTV (looks fine on my 4K monitor but not my 4KTV)
But now for some reason Dolby Atmos sound cuts off via my AN1000 randomly. It was working fine before.
But I actually want to play my game for a bit... fix that some other weekend.
At $17 for Ubi+ it makes reviews for Ubi games a bit irrelevant at this point. At that price I rather just try it out for a month and see for myself if good or not.
I think I can start playing it tomorrow at some point.
Stayed until it launched on Steam last night (just to see how it looks I told myself) Big mistake!! was up until 1AM playing. It is stunning in motion and fun to play. Also the characters are already fantastic (The Secret of NIMH hands on the mountain elder
Boss fights are amazing!
It already at "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam with 72,000 reviews.
This is looking like another Stellar Blade level obsession for me! Enjoy, Good times for single player games.
@SnackBox Yeah, I can only go by the time I played before stopping. I started the new story path first - with every intention of finishing both this time around - see how I feel by the end.
I played a chunk on Switch and never had an issue with pacing or difficulty.
"Looks, runs, and sounds better than ever"
That is all I needed to know. The jaggies and shimmering on Switch were out of control. It ruined the art style for me - and that is one of the reasons I play Atlus games.
Nope. I am still 100% happy with my 3080/PS5 combo for home.
But I started gaming on PC, where you get upgraded hardware just about every year. So an updated PS5 is not an issue in my book - let consumers decide if they need an upgrade or not.

Re: Don't Worry, You Can Add an Ultra HD Disc Drive to PS5 Pro
Drive would be a necessity

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November
Nope... same as PS4 Pro
Buy my console on launch day - they get no more cash until the next generation launch day.
Re: Failing Manufacturers Are Pushing the Narrative That Consoles Are Dying, Says Ex-Xbox Exec
I couldn't get RTX HDR to work on my PC.

Consoles will exist for a very long time.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 544
1. Wukong
2. SW: Outlaws
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Star Wars Outlaws?
Yep. Been playing it since Tuesday. Got a month of Ubi+
It definitely feels like a SW game. And the audio out of my set up is fantastic. Having fun so far.
The bike is gold... they should have canceled the card game and made racing tacks.
Already have tons of things to do on my list. This will be my game to just jump on when I am to tired after work for Wukong.
The slicing reminds me of a game my wife got me into on the NY Times app - Wordle. So even enjoying doing those.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Black Myth: Wukong?
The songs, the verses, the tapestry, the stop animation, the world, the characters... oh yeah, the "game" part is tons of fun to play also.
Art Director should do a visiting artist tour.
9. Easy

Not surprised.

Re: PS5 Open World Crimson Desert Gets 7 Minutes of Raw Gameplay, and It Looks Ridiculous
yep... on the list. Combat looks good. Just need an amazing world (seems to have the art down, good start) to explore and a decent story.
Played Black Desert for a while. Opening up the world was the highlight. Always wished it was a single player/story game.
Re: Hands On: Black Myth: Wukong Is Brilliant, But We Have PS5 Concerns
I moved it to PC once I knew it was getting FSR Frame Generation. The benchmark runs fantastic on my PC.
If they had an actual physical edition I would rent it on GameFly first like StellarBlade and then keep it if everything runs ok.
But not on Gamefly because of the coupon nonsense.
PC it is, Not risking it.
Re: The Order: 1886 Dev Ready at Dawn to Close After VR Stint
I think at this point - once your studio gets bought by one of these big tech companies it is time to to refresh your resume.
I enjoyed Order 1886 and the PSP GOW
Re: Rumour: Sony's Still Working on PS3 Emulation for PS5
Release Puppeteer on PC instead
Re: Poll: Can a Game's Brutal Difficulty Put You Off Playing It?
Yeah...I overcome enough difficult challenges at work.
I use WeMod as needed.when developers go overboard
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 534
1. HomeWorld 3
2. Shin Megami Tensei V
3. F1
93 outside... indoors, AC + videogames weekend. Stay cool and hydrated.
Re: Poll: One Year Later, What Are Your Thoughts on Final Fantasy 16?
Loved it.
But the DLC was not what I wanted. Tons of back story and characters they could have used to really flesh out the world.
Re: Fed Up with Square Enix, Final Fantasy 14's Healers Are Going on Strike
Had no idea this was even a thing.
I reactivated my account and went back in this week. Clear the cobwebs before the expansion hits. I'm excited.
I have basically solo most of the game story. Duty Finder as needed. The party is what it is.
Re: These Are All the PS5, PS4 Announcements from the Latest Nintendo Direct
@Ralizah Oh boy. Mine is still there. I will also have it as my Gamefly Gamelock game. "Keep-it" price + my saved rewards usually works out
Nice you can use vouchers to help bring cost down. I buy Digital mostly on PC. I see Switch/PS5 as my physical game machines.
Re: Bandai Namco Confirms Summer Showcase Stuffed with Announcements and Reveals
More Tales, Code Vein, Scarlet Nexus.
A new Ace Combat with full campaign VR support would make my day.
SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada and Unknown9: Awakening are on my Wishlist
Re: These Are All the PS5, PS4 Announcements from the Latest Nintendo Direct
I have a Metroid Prime 4 pre-order since August 2018 (no idea if Amazon will honor the 49.99 price)
Always wanted to play Fantasian. And excited for Legos Horizon Adventure.
But I am getting those on PC. I see them as Handheld games.

@SnackBox Yeah, I can only go by the time I played before stopping. I started the new story path first - with every intention of finishing both this time around - see how I feel by the end.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 533
1. HomeWorld 3
2. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
Finished Hellblade 2 on Gamepass. Brilliant game. The sound stage is on another level. Really justifies the price for good headphones or 5.1 set up.
Re: Preview: Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 Has a World of Possibilities, But Is Let Down by a Rough Demo
It is $17 with Ubisoft+ and you get the Ultimate Edition
I have had funs with Ubi games that get hated on in the past... I'll play it for 30 days, take it from there.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (PS5) - Combat-Heavy RPG Gets a Major Overhaul

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 532
1. Hellblade 2 (Gamepass - PC)
2. Homeworld 3 (PC)
PS5 taking a break after Stellar Blade. Good times.
Re: PSVR2's PC Adapter Available on 7th August, Costs $60
Quest 3 has no HDR or Eye tracking or Adaptive triggers on PC either. And has no PS5 support at all.
I can consolidate my PC+PS5 VR to one headset for $60... Sold. This should have been out on Day 1.
Also get to use 1 cable out of the box full of Display Port, HDMi and Ethernet cables sitting in my closet.
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite Game from State of Play?
Astro Bot with MH Wilds. Day 1
Re: PSVR2's Anticipated PC Adaptor Appears Imminent
Fantastic news. I was hoping for this from day 1.
Just Oled+HDR at $500 would take the PC market by storm. Extra value of only needing to invest in 1 headset for both my console and PC is gravy
Re: Crossplay in Ghost of Tsushima Co-Op on PC Starts as a Beta
Nicely done, Confirm Steamdeck support from day 1. This is the way to do it.
That said, no desire to play it again.
Re: PS Portal Still Going Strong, Demand in USA Exceeds Supply
I actually use mine more than I thought I would.
Worked over Mother's day when visiting the in-laws for the weekend. Surprised how well it connected over their wi-fi to my PS5 in the city
Having the PS5 on ethernet at home, seems to be the trick.
Re: Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Fail to Meet Expectations on PS5
Loved FF16
They need to do exactly what they are planning. At a minimum release the games on PC from Day 1.
Re: Founder Shinji Mikami on Microsoft's Surpise Closure of Tango Gameworks
Enjoyed all of them. The Evil Within, Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and, Hi-Fi Rush.
You produce games like these and still get closed down - "sad" indeed.
Re: Hands On: Stellar Blade Does PS5 New Game + the Right Way
Great to have it for later. Still on the main campaign - and it is just fantastic. Taking it slow, even getting the cans (I want that extra heart)
So many characters I would love some story DLC to flesh out.
Re: Rumour: Next Tomb Raider Said to Be Open World, Set in India
Day 1. Loved the last trilogy
Keep all the parts and just write a new story and stunning world for me to explore.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 527
Same as last week. Good times.
1. Stellar Blade
2. ZAU
3. FF7 Rebirth
Re: Talking Point: Have Sony's Third-Party PS5 Deals Made Up for Its Lack of First-Party Games?
I play more 3rd party games in a year than I play Microsoft + Sony + Nintendo first party games combined.
First part is a nice extra bonus but not what I buy hardware for.
Access to the biggest selection of games. Reason why I buy a PS, same reason I invest in a PC.
Re: Stellar Blade PS5 Dev Thanks Fans for 'Passion' Following Censorship Controversy
I have the disc so I guess I could just uninstall it
But I settled into Planet Diving (2nd) - Simple jet black and the red glow look amazing in HDR.
I would rather they release an Enya themed suit.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Sales Remain Muted in the USA, Compared to Past Games
Enjoying it, and I never play remakes. This was the exception to the rule
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 526
1. FF VII Rebirth (PS5)
2. Tales of Kenzera: Zau (PS5 via PS+)
3. Stellar Blade (PS5)
PC taking a break. Good times... enjoy the weekend!
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?
Yeah. Cleared my weekend. Tons of fun.
Re: Stellar Blade (PS5) - A Stellar PS5 Debut Destined to Become a Fan Favourite
So ready... Cleared my weekend.
Loved the demo and one of those games I need to check myself. Reviews are a side note for this one.
Re: It Looks Like Kena: Bridge of Spirits Is Heading to New Platforms
Amazing. Should look fantastic on the X. I got it on PC from day 1, so never saw it as a Playstation game.
I recently installed it to test my new Odyssey Neo G7 calibration. They did a fantastic job with colors, lights and shadows.
They should implement Dolby Vision on the Xbox. True HDR is all it is missing.
Re: Sony Reveals PlayStation Overlay for PC Ports, Supports Trophies, Friends List
Amazing. Little by little with each sale I have been getting each Sony release for my Steamdeck.
They should bring cross save between PC/PS5
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Successfully Expanded the Series to New, Younger Players, Says Square Enix
Good to hear. Regardless, I loved the game.
Some will complain no matter what they make. It is a fun FF with Characters and a World I enjoyed - they did their job.
Re: SMT 5: Vengeance Trailer Teases New Enemies, Dungeons, and More
Looks amazing, Day 1 for me. Already a bit in on Switch, so I know I love the gameplay.
Took the risk and stopped playing it on Switch (I could not handle the jaggy/shimmering mess) hopping it would come to PC at a minimum.
Re: Stellar Blade Director Recommends Players Wear Clothes, Where Possible
With everything that happens in combat... That they are fighting half naked is the least stretch of the imagination.
They should implement skinning the armor equipped with the look of anything else in the inventory. Always a great feature.
Re: Immortals of Aveum Getting Futuristic FSR 3, HDR Support on PS5
Yep, FSR3 (especially with Frame Generation) is amazing on PC. It made wonders in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora.
Downloaded it last night, I liked what I played so far. Definitely will play more.
World art and detail are fantastic. Bought the $5 upgrade just for the Digital Artist efforts. Give them a bit more cash for the PS+ release.
I liked Gina Torres in Suits and Westworld. Great to see her in a game
Re: Stellar Blade Dev Shift Up Already Hiring for Next AAA Project
Good news. Loved what I played of the demo and cant wait for the full release.
This studio is on my watch list for anything else down the road.
Re: Tales of Kenzera: ZAU Also a Day One PS Plus Extra Game, Out 23rd April
Perfect game for subscription services.
I have a couple of games on there I like to try and done with PC GamePass for now.
Jump to PS+ for a month or 2 next month.
Re: Random: Vladimir Putin Considers Creation of Russian Gaming Console
Not sure what for. Just stick to PC and instead give grants to studios to make games.
China will give the Russians all the hardware they need to play games regardless.
Re: Talking Point: How Do You Feel About the PS5 Pro?
Nope. I am still 100% happy with my 3080/PS5 combo for home.
